Paid $650 for this view. Small room, room wasn't ready when I got there.

Amazing and helpful and friendly front desk and concierge staff. Lobby women’s restroom was always dirty, that’s the only negative. Our stay was wonderful.
1.5
Very noisy but close to times square

Great location, just steps from time square .

The fan for HVAC was extremely noisy woke me every time it came on through the night.

Hotel has a great location just 1 min from TS. Quiet in the evenings. But room was so cold as the windows did not have isolation. Breakfast was a joke. To sit you need to pay 6,5$ plus tax plus tip. Even though breakfast was incl. best choose was Carve breakfast to go. Staff not very informative. Storage of luggage 1$ per item same day pick up.
Room was nice and clean every day and bed was nice.
1.5
Decor dated, clean rooms and friendly staff

Everything was nice besides checking out. Valet parking took over an hour and a half and we called 30 mins prior like they said too. Other than that no complaints one bar was small and packed and other bar in hotel they wouldnt let us go down after 12 they shut that section of the hotel down which i think is not ok for those staying at that hotel.

As a returning customer to this venue, I had hoped for a similar positive experience with this stay. Yet, the room was the trifecta of poor conditions (positioned immediately outside an ice machine that continuously ran, an air unit that made loud clanking noises all night, and located on the 3rd floor that practically sounded like it was at street level). On top of that, the bathroom had no air ventilation and the room seemed in poor condition.

We had a great time and loved the location

We asked the front desk (reception) regarding our breakfast. The receptionist, Zenny asked for my name. She asked 3 times so I said my name 3 times. She rudely said I kept on repeating myself. I repeated my answers because she asked for my name multiple times.
I believe that people at their reception should be trained to treat their customers with respect. We are paying customers. The hotel is still operating because of paying customers. Hotel staff should make their customers feel valued.
The hotel is accessible to everything though.

My girls and I stayed 5 nights at Hotel Edison (11/25-11/30/24) to see Broadway shows and the location was great. We were early to check in and our room was ready, but to get into it we had to pay $60. We did because we were tired, but didn't make sense because it was ready? The room was clean, but very dated and worn (The doors had chunks out of them, were just painted over and there was a corner of the closet
Room was very noisy (we were across from the ice machine & it was noisy all the time.)
Customer service was excellent! From front desk, elevator checker, housekeeping, and restaurant staff.

Hotel and staff were great, room was big enough for king bed with view of a building window so no view sadly, and bathroom was extra tight to get into. Otherwise, hotel is in a great location, steps from Times Square and Broadway, we loved that part!

Great customer service

Hotel Edison's main asset is its location, smack dab in the heart of the theatre district. It hstill has some charm, like the art deco murals in the lobby, but upkeep and improvement are not its forte.
2.0
Compact rooms. You get what you paid for. Not luxury nor super comfortable. Central location. It is an OK hotel for the city and region.

An Edison stay is always good. Location couldn't be better for a theater trip. The breakfast vouchers are handy. The rooms range from splendid to waiting for updates. Even a "waiting for updates" room is quite acceptable. Everything is clean, beds comfortable, staff excellent. I'll be back, for sure.

The hotel is ok but nothing special.
The room and bathroom were clean but they were just a bit shabby. Scratched furniture, old bathroom fixtures, weird lighting.

The location was perfect! We loved being in the heart of Times Square. All of our shows were within walking distance. Overall the service was great! The staff from the start, upon check-in, was attentive and accommodating. Marisela, was able to assist and respond to our requests and insured that our stay met or expectations. We did have an incident that occurred, with one of the staff members. However, John Paul, the manager, acknowledged the issue and resolved it. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our rooms on the days that we requested and left plenty of fresh towels on the days we did not have the rooms cleaned. The complimentary happy hour on Tuesday was a nice gathering. The “grab and go” breakfasts options, were good for us because we had activities scheduled each day with an early start. We had the opportunity to try all three locations, the food was good and satisfying. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner at two of the restaurants at the hotel. They did not disappoint! Nice atmosphere in both locations. The bathroom was very clean but had very little counter space. The rooms were a good size comfortable and clean. Amble size closet. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Edison and would stay on our next visit to NYC.

i enjoyed the edison. great service cleanliness and comfort. my only complaint was breakfast cost me 20 dollars every morning. food was delicious but breakfast should have been free as well as advertised grab n go. it was expensive to stay there + vouchers for 2 meals could have cost zero. other than that it was an 8 rating out of ten. so i would stay there again . thank you edison

It would have been nice to have a chair in the room! Terrible to sit on the bed when reading or just relaxing. Also need hooks in the bathroom.

After checking in putting our bags in the room we adjusted the thermostat because It was on 73. Came back four hours later and it was still on 73 called the front desk. They came up replaced the air conditioning unit completely from the room And it seemed to do the trick. Fast-forward to the next night hot air is blowing again. It’s 73 in the room and it was 3 o’clock in the morning and we were checking out at seven. So we didn’t even bother to call down again because last time it took over an hour for them to swap out the unit and I didn’t want somebody in the room at 3 o’clock in the morning.
When we went to check out, I explained the situation what took place yet again with the air conditioning unit and they gave us a credit of $80 which was nothing compared to the amount we spent there for two nights.
It’s a shame because the hotel is in a great location has a lot of potential, but the fact that the heating and air units are old and really don’t work well is a dealbreaker for us. Also, there was no additional lock on the door, other than the small switch on the doorhandle no additional deadbolt which I feel is a real downside for New York City hotel room.

Room not really as shown on booking website, so a bit of a let down but it did suffice for our needs. Hotel is extremely well placed for theatres etc and staff are on the whole friendly and helpful. 1930's decor in main areas is lovely. Security is good, apart from when we left our cases after check out.. we came back and just took them from an unminded alcove in reception we could have been anyone and were not challenged

Service was outstanding! Exceeded all expectations. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and suited all of my needs. Location was perfect to for Broadway theatres.

the hotel was nice but for the price, they should have at least included breakfast and parking.

King suite worked perfectly for myself and adult son to share. Each had our own space when needed.

Perfect location for the hustle and bustle of NYC. Easy walking distance to the theaters, food, buses, taxi, and subway. The staff was top notch. Very helpful and nice. Would stay here again.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Edison before with better results. I was put on the 21st floor where remodeling was going on. There was a terrible banging noise from the heat/air unit that kept me awake. I can’t help thinking that being a senior solo female traveler puts me at risk of being overlooked.
1.5
Very expensive without any real perks beyond location. No fridge in room. Cant get included breakfast until 7am, no earlier grab and go option for those with early flights.
0.5
Very small rooms and worst of all the bathroom. One person barely fits. Shower overflows when flushing toilet. Staff not friendly at all, maybe I got the wrong shift but didn't see a smile, even at check in. Only cleaning staff was friendly. There was a building remodeling next to the hotel and seems to us they work on 24 hour shifts and the constant noise was overwhelming. I guess that's New York but it was pretty bad. Restaurants inside hotel were good. That's about it.

Great hotel! accommodated a late check out- no problem. Easy, large rooms, reduced breakfast voucher. Nice all around.

TV was not working for 2 days! Very inconvenient.

I never stayed in a 400$ room with no microwave, or refrigerator that was a big inconvenience.

Good stay. Bed very comfortable
Nice and quiet at night. Reasonable price.

The room was very good! The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect! Walking distance to many attractions. You can’t beat the price, when breakfast and happy hour is included.

My one complaint was the mattress was very uncomfortable everything else was great.
