The service provided by all of the staff from the front desk to the restaurants was excellent. The rooms & pool area are due for an update.

We really loved the hotel for its rooms, amenities, and dining options. The Steakhouse, breakfast in the room and poolside snacks were great. The spa was also exceptional. The only reason we gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the front desk charged us $2157 on our 3rd day. When we asked them about it they said that they estimate what they think I would spend on my last day and they will credit me in 3-4 days. We had spent $900 on the spa and food prior to the charge. So they estimated 2.5 times that for my spending. It made no sense and so I gave them a 4 star review instead of 5

Ok property! Well rounded has all the amenities. We went low season so it was too quite.

We spent 5 nights at this property, it’s built in over 200 acres. Golf courses, 3 pools, and one to many restaurants. Over top of that you get excellent service from the staff.

Very nice hotel. Staff members all very nice and service was great. Its quiet and just minutes from Old Scottsdale area. Nice to have the pool open 24 hours. Dining options were nice but we were not aware of one of the restaurants being closed during our stay. We had a great time!

Great Spa and facilities

Pools are in disrepair. Water slide was closed. Bell service brought our bags to the room only after several calls and 90 minutes of waiting. It’s old and is not the shining star it used to be. One of the pools on the lowest level was cloudy and had an above ground pump continuously running. I would pick another hotel if I return to Scottsdale.

Beautiful property... but the room was quiet noisy from the outside equipment

The property is beautiful, pools, spa, golf course. The hotel rooms are starting to show their age. The rooms are dated & showing wear and tear.

I am Marriott Premier Gold and have been with Marriott for decades. The Phoenician is an amazing property. However, the air conditioner in my room was quite noisy. More importantly, I paid a $50 daily resort fee. After business hours, my colleagues and I wanted to play Pickleball. Unbeknownst to us, there was no water near the Pickleball courts, and the lights on the courts turn off without notice. We tried to get drinking water at the fitness center, but all the bottles were removed. Obviously water is awfully important when you’re playing competitive sports in the 100 degree plus heat of Phoenix in August. I think the property should consider installing drinking fountains near the tennis and Pickleball courts and giving guests a manual timer option to keep the courts lit. Thank you

How do I begin to rate this property? We travel all over the world and stay in resorts and many different places. The customer service and amazing staff in every department has surpassed everywhere we have been. There are usually one or two hiccups somewhere along the way at resorts, but not here. There are three key people I’d like to mention. Bryce at the front desk, went out of his way to accommodate us, Ky at the Marketplace remembered our names and coffee orders after only meeting us once, Jeffrey at Valet was like family s he drove us to dinner in the golf cart. He scrambled to take us there and was so attentive. The Registration staff, the housekeepers, the staff in general around the property and at the restaurants, the people working poolside, and everyone else were sincerely committed to our happiness while staying here. We are so relaxed from the comfort of our beautiful room. The bed, towels and sheets, water pressure, view and everything were amazing. It is hard to remember the last time we felt this attended to for this many days and nights. The turn down service at night and daily room credit was icing on the cake. Thank you all!! We will definitely be back.

I was expecting much more from this Forbes resort. It was just average for me....the Spa was excellent!

We had to take out all of the drinks out of the fridge to put ours in. When I returned the hotel’s drinks back into the fridge at check out. I went through the list and everything was there. I still got charged for something.

Second time at the Phoenician twice this month and love the place. Rooms were nice and spacious. Spa was a good experience. Very large pool area with good service. Valet service was good. This time (mid July 2024) the main restaurant was closed for renovations as well as several of the public restrooms. Additionally, some of the “accessible” rooms located on the first floor have a hallway entry glass doors, these do not have an automatic open button for someone in a wheelchair, not sure it would be considered an ADA compliant opening. It was a bit problematic for my wife getting through those doors in a wheelchair. I notified several employees including the front desk after the first stay, but not sure they have been updated, but we stayed in another area the second stay they were leaving the glass hallway doors open.

This is the 4th time we've stayed at The Phoenician. I highly recommend it and will continue to stay there. We had a room on the bottom floor this time and it created issue with birds. They would congregate on the patio and leave bird poop everywhere. Due to the heat, it would dry up quickly. We called housekeeping to clean, and they did quickly. However, it quickly became overrun with bird poop despite cleaning. We just gave up and sat at the pool in the evening instead of the patio. I will request a higher floor next time as this issue has never occurred before.
