From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. In a post-COVID world, it is such a pleasure to experience excellent customer service again! The property is STUNNING from the pool area to the view in the Atrium. The food and drink was excellent and we took advantage of Happy Hour dining the first night we were there. I can't wait to return to Loews Santa Monica!

The hotel facility was great. Our breakfast servers were very courteous, and housekeepers did a great job keeping our room clean.We do regret being there at the same time as a convention. I think it was a cyber security insurance convention. These business people were everywhere and this made for a very loud atmosphere. We were unable to have quiet, peaceful time in the beautiful lobby. Breakfasts were very noisy. Our servers did an excellent job working around all the convention business people. Extremely crowded everywhere!Overall, great facility.

The room was spacious and generally nice. The hotel itself seems nice enough and safe with a generally upscale feel. it's just across the street from Muscle Beech and the Santa Monica Pier which was nice. The housekeeping and other staff we spoke to were super friendly.We were disappointed in our room in terms of location...it was below street grade (i.e., very little visibility to anything other than some bushes between us and sidewalk of people walking buy looking down into our room (!), even though it was an upgraded room with a firepit. While the firepit rooms seem nice, I wouldn't select that option again. Definitely not worth it given the location. Visually it appeared to be around the pool are when booking.Even thought it was 1 bedroom king suite, there was no in room mini fridge or microwave. We figured out halfway through our stay we could request a mini-fridge that was semi cold. Enough to chill some drinks to have on hand.There is virtually no food at the location. There's one restaurant with very limited options. Room service (breakfast) was not good at all and was quite pricey (as usual). The eggs ben i had tasted very strange...my wife didn't like hers either which was eggs, bacon, etc. Zero vending machines on site for snacks or drinks other than in an in room mini-bar for a few warm drinks.

Very disappointed, the hotel is on the level of a red roof inn. Loud dirty showers including black mold never received our free welcome drink. A smell in the room that was borderline disgusting. One star at best. Oh and the on-site coffee house served lukewarm coffee, blamed it on the water pressure, the on-site restaurant served my wife bloody korean chicken wings. For 2300 for a 4 night stay we would have been better off at a airport Marriott. Save yourself the aggravation and chose elsewhere

We stayed a night here for our anniversary and the service was great. From the moment we arrived to once we left everyone did their best to accommodate us. Once we told them the occasion they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room. The ocean view suite was excellent. The room was clean and well maintained. No complaints from us. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is huge, staff are too nice ,courteous & helpful. They respond quickly to your needs via text..near to everything. The beach & the pier is just across the street .lastly ,the front desk employee Abdul who works nights was very nice,and very helpful, lots of patience although deprived of sleep working nights .Hotel management should hire people like Abdul.jolly not grouchy most especially in the front desk.

Upon entering the property, you are met with a bright airy lobby that's very comforting.Great establishment for pool side lounging... relaxing.. drinking and eating. Beautiful views of the Ocean and Santa Monica Pier. Staff is very warm and accommodating. Will definitely frequent this establishment again.

Overall disappointing stay. Some days we had no housekeeping at all (we were out all day). The breakfast is expensive with terrible coffee. The resort fee when you don’t touch the pool or facilities is difficult to swallow. The service was awful! As an example, one day our room key stopped working, we tried numerous times to get it fixed, a few times the desk was completely empty of staff, other times the queue was five deep. We ended up leaving the key with the desk and coming back three hours later to find it was still not fixed. Would not stay again.

Simply put, there was nothing luxury about this experience, but the location. I revel in hotels, but Loews Santa Monica massively missed the mark on making this a special experience. I say this not because the elevated cost of the room versus the physical room was ghastly. To be clear, there is nothing luxe about the outdated rooms: the sheets/towels, the products, and there was no technical prowess - a plug in sound machine is truly not thought forward. Here is where the towering issue lies - it’s the way I was treated. I was gobsmacked by the lack of customer care. When asked how they could rectify, my answer was “don’t make another guest feel this way.” With that, I leave this review, don’t stay at this hotel. Please note: I booked through Expedia. As such, they noted “I booked through a third party” and couldn’t fully address my questions. To date, I haven’t received the folio that I requested from Loews corporate.

Very nice hotel that we’ve stayed at multiple times. The location is awesome, but it is a little overpriced for the amenities they have to offer. The area has changed quite a bit since last time we were there. 3rd street promenade used to be thriving, but now is a ghost town, which is a shame.

For business, pleasure or family fun… this is the perfect hotel. The staff is incredible and met every need. It’s beautiful, modern, fun and has stunning beach and sunset views. Games, easy beach access and bikes are icing on the cake. This might be my favorite property anywhere. Truly incredible! It’s the whole package. Luxury, fun, vacation. Spend the evening at a fire pit table and watch the waves and the sunset. Magic.
