To be back in Lisbon, a back at the Hotel Britannia, after many years away was such a pleasure. The hotel is old fashioned in all the best sort of ways; not least that the service is friendly and attentive. It is very comfortable. Rooms are a good size for a European hotel - one doesn't feel cramped. The only note I make is that many of the bathrooms have combined shower/bathtubs, so it is good to be aware of that.
The location is superb - one can walk right to the centre of the city in about twenty minutes - or hop on the metro which has a stop right round the corner from the hotel.
Thank you Hotel Britannia for a great stay.

Our stay at Hotel Britania was very pleasant. We had a suite #11, with a separate sitting area room and ensuite. The decor was in keeping with Art Deco from 1940‘s. The original marble is still in the ensuite. The breakfast was lovely with a large selection of breads, cheeses, fruits and sweet. Hot foods such as eggs, bacon, sausages were available . Afternoon tea and sweets are available to the guests. Front desk is very helpful. Larissa and I were communicating before we arrived my e mail to find out about restaurants, museums etc. location is good for shopping and sightseeing. I would definitely recommend staying here and enjoying the old charm of the past. Uber is very reasonable and perfect way to move around the city fast and inexpensively.

Excellent service from reception and Dino g room staff. Definitely my favorite part of my visit to Lisbon.

Whether you're on business, or just want to indulge on a romantic or solo trip, this beautiful historic hotel will meet all your needs and will make you feel at home from the minute you walk in and step back in time. The staff is amazing, my superior double/twin room was huge, clean and had everything i needed at the end of my solo trip. Its location is perfect, if the Avenida Liberdade is your favourite spot. The interior may feel 'dated', for the critics among you, but for me that's the charm of it, as a lot of furniture are actual antiques. I will come back here, I loved it.
4.8
Cute hotel with an excellent location and helpful staff. Walking distance to major shopping and downtown.
4.8
It was an old hotel but was kept impeccably clean. It was in an excellent location parallel to the main avenue. The staff were lovely and helpful. The only thing that let it down was a few rough sleepers round about in the evening

We stayed 4 nights and highly recommend Hotel Britania.

As a Heritage Hotel, I understand its age. However, the room was all dilapidated, and melodies will just hold. They could have updated things, but it was still keeping land instead of like furniture and a bed.

All staff were excellent! I forgot how amazing a boutique hotel can be. The hotel had character and rich history. Loved everything about it.

This is a truly amazing hotel. We had a room with a terrace which was fantastic. The hotel is situated in a central location. The complimentary port made us feel special. The rooms were amongst the cleanest i have stayed in and the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of pastries, hot food and a range of ham and cheeses. Overall I cannot fault this hotel. Lovely staff and ambience. It was a shame there was a lot of building work going on opposite but that cannot be helped. We would definitely stay again.

A brilliant stay in an excellent hotel. Great service, comfortable room, lovely breakfast. Hotel ideally located for the city in our view with a nice walk down into town past some nice shops and restaurants. A supermarket and pharmacy close by.

The breakfast and happy hour was a nice perk! Walkable to the best parts of Lisbon!

Beautiful art deco hotel. Room was huge and immaculately presented. Champagne on arrival along with complimentary port in room on was a lovely bonus. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel room was large and nicely appointed. The location was convenient for access to transportation and dining options.

Great staff at reception desk! Hotel was great, clean and historic

This is our home base when we visit Lisbon. It’s a period hotel that has been lovingly restored. The rooms are large and very clean, the amenities are good, and the staff and service are excellent. The location is great, close to the old town And lots of good restaurants. We will definitely return once again.
4.8
Very excellent experience. Staff make you feel welcomed and at home.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance of pretty much all the sites we wanted to see with the exception of Belem which is an easy train ride away.

Very friendly staff.

A very nice totel: beautiful interior and rooms, very helpful staff, good breakfast and an excellent location in the center but on a quiet street with several good resaturants nearby.

Located off the main Avenida, but on a quiet side street.
Spacious rooms

We spent 3 lovely nights here. The overall experience has been wonderful. It reminded us of the 40's and 50's..a much more pleasant era!
The staff are so pleasant and helpful and the breakfast is exemplary. Lots of fresh fruits cheeses and eggs with fab breads and pastries
The location is just off the main avenue so its quiet. There is construction across the road but we didnt hear it.
We will return.

Very courteous and attentive staff, wonderful experience overall.

I loved the style of the hotel and that it was quiet and peaceful inside. The complimentary afternoon tea and port were a a very nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The surroundings were not good, with vagrants sleeping in doorways in the next building and a huge construction project underway opposite which was noisy and dusty with workers on our level able to see directly into our room - we had to keep the blinds closed wheever we were in the room.

A fantastic place to stay

Very good service. Staff were excellent. On final day the breakfast area was full so had to wait 30 minutes. Hotel was very quiet despite building work in front of the hotel. Recommend

Beautiful art deco design. The staff is amazing, absolutely wonderful. The rooms are well appointed and breakfast was more than expected and quite well done.
4.8
Lovely bottle of Prosecco on arrival, plus a decanter of port! Room was glorious! So glam! Fab breakfast too. Great hotel

Dont let the facade of the building fool you. It’s gorgeous inside and there are tons of restaurants nearby. Great property!!!

Old world charm with comfort, cleanliness and friendly service
4.8
The room I booked through Expedia was 16(61 degrees Fahrenheit) it was oddly configured with a small vestibule with 2 chairs and a small old tv. It and the bath(old, broken marble) were not heated. The main bedroom was just painted beige, large and cold. It had apparently not yet been renovated or fully furnished. It took me3 trips downstairs before the hotel moved me to another room. I don’t recommend it. The hotel is cold, beige, and not yet ready for prime time

Simply amazing historic property with the finest service. Highly recommend.

This hotel was a delight. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a double balcony, sizable bathroom, comfortable bed, and sitting area. It is a block off a "ritzy" street where many of the world's top brands are located and only half a block from the metro line, making the location convenient; although do note, that it is not near many of the charming areas, such as Alfama, but it is quite easy to walk and take public transportation.
Breakfast was European continental that also included great scrambled eggs (add the dried basil yum) and sauteed veggies.
The real standout of this hotel is its delightful concierge, which was helpful on a number of fronts - maps, train schedules, restaurant recommendations. Obrigada!
We also met a couple who informed us that after many visits to Lisbon that Britania is their favorite hotel, so apparently we did choose well!

Excellent location very near Avenida metro stop. Spacious room very comfortable bed with black shades for a good sleep. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Very accommodating staff.
