Excellent(994 Reviews)4.2
Our experience at the Radisson Blu in Tromsø was disappointing. The room lacked sufficient heating, leaving us bundled up in thermals or sweatpants the entire stay. We booked a “sea view” room, expecting a scenic outlook, but it instead overlooked a parking lot where, on Friday night, people were partying and yelling until past 1:30 a.m., right next to a bus stop.
When I called the front desk to request express laundry service, I was told by Christian, “I’m helping someone check out; I’ll call you back.” That call never came, and I had to go down to the lobby 35 minutes later and ask for assistance face to face.
The hotel leans heavily into self-service, but it’s poorly managed and adds frustration rather than convenience. The one positive note was breakfast, which offered good food, but even that was served buffet style in an underheated area where dishes didn’t stay warm.
Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere; you’ll have a far better experience.

Great location, very clean, and helpful staff!
4.2
Great hotel and location. Excellent buffet breakfast. Nice workout area and sauna. If you can get a room with a view, do it! Rooms are a great size and you can open the windows to great some great Nordic fresh air. Bus system in this quant small town is great and very convenient to this hotel.
4.2
Great location to n Tromso. Everything within walking distance. The hotel had friendly helpful staff and was a hub for transport. Great breakfasts!
4.2
Car parking was expensive
4.2
excellent location, water front, close to every action and use as pick up point for activities.
nice bed and clean
hotel staff is very helpful and friendly (Christian)
4.2
Helpful and friendly staff. The views from our Sea and Mountain View room were stunning! Very convenient location for bars, restaurants, shops, and the airport express bus. Great buffet breakfast.
4.2
Help and support provided by their great staff during the event for ~1,000 guests. Hotel has GREAT facility, courteous staff that went above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction. I am grateful for the service/support received during our 11 days stay at the hotel. I am highly recommending this facility.
I would like to specially recognize the excellent support provided by Mr. Kent Are (manager), Christian and Jasmin (front desk).
4.2
Cozy room with bed within 3 walls. Well kept, clean but a little tight.
4.2
Very small showers and aircon wasn’t the best so had to leave the window open and a busy area around the hotel (especially during midnight sun)

Lovely

I didnt find anything unique, but it sufficed after a long international flight.
Parking is a bit of an expensive joke. Maybe a more experienced Tromso native could figure it out, not me.

Went looking for aurora borealis, unfortunately there wasn’t any but a very honest tour guide told me not to pay for a tour because there weren’t gonna show, so that helped save some money. Beautiful town, lots of things to do out in the nature, many coffe shops, lovely views.

Pros:
- Close to transportation: the airport express bus stops right in front of the hotel. The public bus stations are 2 blocks away.
- Close to Tromso city center: It is 3-4 blocks away.
- View: You can see the port if you select the right room. If you upgrade the room, you can get a beautiful ciew to the water and mountains.
- Services to Attractions: if within season (winter) the service office is at the entrance of the hotel, so you do not need to get out to get to tour agencies.
- Front desk: everyone speaks English. Most of them are knowledgeable of the area and can give you good advise and ways to move around the city and get to tourist attractions.
Cons:
- Noise: EXTREMELY noisy (loud). It is right in front of the pub, so you hear the base thumping until they close (1:30 am).
- Cleanliness: did not believe the reviews until we got there. They are true. 1) The side of the bed had spills dripping to the floor. 2) The carpeting in all the rooms was stained. 3) One room had a strong cigarette smell, yet the property is non-smoking. 4) When you open or close the curtains, even if you do not have allergies, you start sneezing and coughing from all the dust and dander they have.
- Maintenance: Rooms have chipped paint (wood too) everywhere. The ceiling lighting covers are broken (separating).
- Food: NO vegan food. Their restaurant (same as the pub) say they have vegan food, but they give you everything with cheese. Good luck lactose intolerants!

Great location, small but clean and comfortable rooms. Could walk everywhere and handy for excursions

The view from the sauna and exercise room is stunning! And extremely good breakfast!

Excellent stay

Location was perfect. Walkable to warf and shopping. Best Arctic tours has a service desk in lobby - perfection. Bus to/from airport is just outside.

Great

Breakfast is fantastic. Super convenient for anyone doing tour excursions, as a lot of tours have meeting points right out the door or across the street. Airport bus shuttle runs from right across the street.

I love Norway now, my first time here and people are all kind and accommodating even in my hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended for its location as well.
4.2
Great hotel in a great location, easy access to transport links and very close to main area of Tromso. Staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent with a large variety of options. Room very comfortable and clean.
I’d definitely recommend and would stay here again.
4.2
Great hotel, we paid for an upgrade for a sea view which is really worth it, the views are spectacular. Super breakfast and front of house staff are really welcoming. As with most good hotels, the bed was super comfy. Where do they get their bed linen!!!!
4.2
The breakfast was really the highlight of our stay. Our room (standard) was smaller than expected although it was quiet and we slept well. We signed up to not have our room cleaned everyday but we were there for 4 nights and we didn’t get our towels changed once (and the suggestion was that we would). The shower set-up means that the floor was soaking after we showered and so 2 of our towels were used to soak up the water. Separately we found the staff to be pleasant on the whole and the views from the hotel were lovely. The hotel was very expensive for us but we accept that is the norm for Norway.

Utmerket service.
4.2
Pros: Very convenient location, close to everything. The room is decent sized. Nice harbor view from the room. Good breakfast selection although there could be a line during peak time as we were there during February. Local tour desk is located in the lobby for easy booking.
Cons: Customer service not the best - On the first night of our stay, there was a school party going on on the floor beneath us, and the music was so loud we can feel the vibration in the floor, it went on until 11:30PM. When we checked in, the hotel did not inform us about this event at all. And the front desk phone line is always busy when we tried to call multiple times. The next morning when we complained in person at the desk, the reception person just shrugged it off and gave us a free breakfast as compensation.
4.2
the location was great and Christian was very helpful when I checked kit. I was very disappointed in the lack of food options. There is only a $23 breakfast buffet, no food at all other than that. I had to go out for coffee every morning. The pub has no food. Also a very limited number of TV channels for an international hotel.

Friendly staff
4.2
Great location, comfortable rooms, though a bit pricey. That’s Tromso I guess. Appreciated the service of all of the staff. If you’re interested in the gym, note that it was a bit small for the size of the hotel
4.2
Excellent hotel, with elegant and confortable rooms. Breakfast was amazing and the gym is incredibly well equipped with a nice view on the fjord. Staff was nice and helpful.
4.2
Main Pick-up point for all the excursions right on our doorstep. Harbour for boat trips, seafood, great food/restaurants, main high street and supermarkets really close by. I’m a bit unsteady (age and hip replacement!) so being able to not feel rushed/stressed and enjoy the snow underfoot, feel part of things and start all the tours feeling happy and confident was fantastic.
Room was lovely and warm, housekeeping excellent and plenty of working lifts to get up and down. Breakfast had fantastic choice and good value.
4.2
Super nice hotel, in the center of everything. Convenient location and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful!
4.2
They must pay more attention to the cleaning amenities.
4.2
Rooms not too soundproof and a bit expensive for what you get.
4.2
Everything so good, just room too small for 2 persons
4.2
This hotel was situated close to where a lot of excursions depart. But otherwise the better dining and shopping options are on the main street. The sidewalks are not shoveled and the snow turns to ice, it's a treacherous walk to restaurants. The room had a nice view, breakfast was ok, the housekeeping staff was aggressive. I was woken up every morning with the sound of their carts and vacuum, one entered the elevator with the giant cart before checking to see if anyone was inside (I had to shout hello for her to notice me). I wouldn't stay here again.
4.2
Excellent service from the staff at the hotel even over the very busy Christmas and New Year week!
Loved the spacious and comfortable rooms!

Great location.
