Amazing ambiance from start to finish even if it was just 24 hours or less the stay was absolutely wonderful. Front desk was ready for us when we walked in and then the bellman and door men were so attentive and lively. Checking in was a breeze and it was fast and easy no waiting, she walked with us to the room and showed us everything inside and how everything worked. Vesper bar vibe at night was such a staple in the stay, they made everything good to great, Jacque's team is amazing and the bartenders are one of a kind. My husband's first time in London so I had to show him how to do it the right way, that was to stay at the Dorchester.

This is a wonderful hotel. However, unfortunately, my son got food poisoning eating at the lobby restaurant. We ended up in the Princess Grace Hospital Saturday evening and had to be put on medication for a few hours. While the hotel staff are generally professional and wonderful, I think they had a real problem i with the lobby restaurant and it’s staff.

I chose your hotel because I heard it had been recently refurbished and was ranked among the top five best hotels in London. I am always drawn to beautiful places, and when I saw the pictures of your lobby, I knew it was the one.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by beautiful art. Lalique pieces and so much beautiful art at the promenade.
We enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea and were then escorted to our room, which had a bright flower wallpaper and was simply beautiful. We got a wine bottle and hand written note.
we had the pleasure of meeting Veronica at the spa while booking a massage, and later, we met Dayana on the stairs. we discovered that we shared the same nationality. She sent a courtesy to our room, thoughtful gesture.
Great diner at Alain Ducasse.
Next day they sent balloons and cake for Father’s Day to my husband.
I had a cold, they arranged a doctor appointment and had my medicine in my room. They sent lemonade and well wishes
Best hotel. Felt like home. So cared and so many kind people.

We had a lovely stay at the Dorchester but just a couple of things let it down for me. I didn't expect the renovation work to be so extensive and I didn't really appreciate the hoover being put on during my breakfast at the next table.
The staff were A1 though. Excellent service.

I have been for a meal here several year ago for engagement and my now wife loved the look of the hotel so I thought for my 40th I would book us a weekend stay. The room itself cost over £2000 for the weekend and I can say the following about our stay.
Room: Very nice carpets and reasonable bed. Well stocked mini-bar and the hotel had arranged some cakes and champagne to be in room on arrival - very nice!
Bathroom: Nice fully marbled but shower not very powerful. Bath nice and big. The toilet roll was dreadful and cheap - better toilet roll in public toilets. It was very thin and tore easily.
Bed: Ok but the worst pillows ever invented. Look nice when not lying on them but "deflate" with the slightest pressure. I would have brought my own if I had known this.
The staff were very attentive and polite and the young lady at check in was excellent.
There were renovations ongoing so it was limited as to where we could go. The promenade was closed off as was the main bar and I would have liked to have gone there.
On the whole, disappointing for a once in a lifetime trip.
All in all final bill was over £4000 as we went to spa, bar and michelin starred restaurant etc. but looking at my CC bill it appears that close to £5000 has been taken (I am ringing to check this out).
I'll go to Premier Inn next time and don't even get me started on Restaurant Alain Ducasse.

Absolutely amazing stay! Celebrated my birthday and the hotel spoiled me with balloons, a small cake and gift to take home. While the hotel is undergoing some renovations, they have definitely gone out of their way to ensure guests aren’t impacted and don’t see any of the works. Love it and would definitely love to return again one day!

Our experience at the Dorchester was absolutely amazing; we did not want to leave! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are great, and the staff is so friendly! The pool is super nice, as is the gym! We had drinks/snacks at the bar, dinner at China Tang and breakfast at The Promenade, and every single drink and menu item we had was spectacular. The bar has very creative and tasty cocktails - my favorite was "All You Need Is...A Cup of Tea!" I had a small accident during my stay (face planted while running in Hyde Park - uneven ground and klutzy people don't mix), and everyone at the hotel was SO nice and helpful! I just had minor scrapes and bruises, but they sent someone up to my room with a first aid kit to make sure I had all the supplies needed to patch myself up. We hope to be able to come again soon!

The staff are outstanding at the Dorchester. There’s always someone around to help with a smile. They are just so friendly. I only had coffee and drinks at the restaurant, but service there is very slow. You can’t be in a hurry. But really friendly once they get to you. Coffee very weak unfortunately, even after I asked for a strong one. I paid £8.50 plus tip for a coffee I first had to wait ages for, and then couldn’t drink as it’s too weak. Staff at the bar are excellent. Overall, The Dorchester is outstanding. Beds very comfortable too, with blackout curtains.
