This Embassy Suites was a very nice property and the staff was helpful and friendly.
The breakfast, however, was far below the standards for the Embassy Suites brand. Instead of the traditional cooked-to-order breakfast, this one has only a limited buffet on a Saturday. The qualify of the food served was also sub-standard for this brand. Home fries were deep fried and very hard, sausage was overcooked, tough and dry, the eggs tasted like reconstituted powdered eggs. I have never before given a less than 5-star review of an Embassy Suites.

Everyone I encountered at the property provided excellent customer service. Check-in was smooth and easy, as was checkout and everyone’s willingness to answer my questions and I very much appreciate that.
My criticism is of the room. While it was clearly an attempt to present a quality space. I do believe that there are some concerns that need to be addressed. The first one is the lighting. I do appreciate that they wanted to present a comfort level with the lighting, but it was just too dark. There’s no option to up the lights, especially at the mirrors, so getting ready was a challenge. Not everyone can see with low light. The other issue was the dust. There was quite a bit of dust on the furniture. I had to take a washcloth and wipe down the dust over the headboards above the beds, as did I have to wipe dust from some of the table tops. My other issue was the bathroom. I could see stains in some of the corners but because the low light Im just not sure how bad it was. The room is set up nicely in terms of size and furniture placement but the bed was very uncomfortable for me. The mattress was just too thin.
I think part of the reason why I picked up on all of this is because I know I’m gonna need to stay in the area a few times over the next six months. I’m just not sure where we are going to book at this point.

Everything was great except for the enclosed parking. It was a bit confusing to me due to the multiple entities with designated parking and me driving a large SUV made navigating tight spaces without contacting another vehicle a challenge.

Had to switch rooms when I checked in because the first one was not cleaned. The second room also had trash in the waste bin, but I stayed because everything else was cleaned. There was a lot of construction happening on the first floor of the building, so it was inconvenient to get in and out, and the accessibility entrance was closed and elevator to street level was not working (which was not helpful for a friend on crutches who had to use the stairs).

Nice hotel. A little run down. No breakfast buffet on weekends. I understand people come and inly stay weekends. But at least we should have gotten that. Because we stayed 1 week

Easy check in. Breakfast better than expected. Beds could have been a little more comfortable. Enjoyed drinks in the evenings.

It’s was great with amenities and close to transportation services and shopping, the area seem clean and safe

The mirror in the bathroom is peeling from the interior. One of the main elevators was not in service.

Good location - close to a Metro station however the bathroom left a bit to be desired. Tub was chipped, the tub spout leaked and the toilet run area was filthy.

Great, the people there are great.

Poor cleaning! Seen hairs all over the bath room. Shower runs very slowly making it very difficult to have a shower.
Invoice was not provided at the check out. I am calling constantly to get it through email but no one is answering the phone!

Very clean. Suite was a decent size. Good for families. Parking was free, which was a nice perk. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Highly recommend

The hotel was loud - both in the hall and outside. We had to call down to have security come up and find who was running in the halls (which they seemed to have done!)

Hello,
I am a formerly, long time DC resident, now relocated to be near grandchildren.
On my last trip back, was sick the first 2 days and so spent all my time in my hotel suite. It was very comfortable and Uber Eats, very convenient. There is no food ( except Breakfast) offered at the hotel, no concession machines for snacks either. But there was nothing I could not get from Uber Eats or Amazon Fresh. The staff was very friendly. I am well aware of the hotel location. It’s extremely convenient to DC Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, including Amazon Fresh, restaurants and emergency clinic. If you take Metro, the stop is right across the street. What I noticed, this time around, was increased security around the perimeter of the hotel. That was reassuring since crime in DC is up. And there are always staff members walking around inside. I plan to make it my choice whenever I go back. Perfect for a writer ( which I am) for appointments and visiting with friends. I do hope more stores come into the hotel space. I miss that from the old Embassy Suites.

The hotel is on the metro line which was very convenient. We appreciated the friendly staff, reliable service, and overall quality. The room was clean and well kept but needed some updating. The mirror in the bathroom was functional but had seen better days. The surface on the bottom of the tub had some areas where the finish had cracked or peeled off. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but would suggest they do some cosmetic work. The hotel also did not have a gift shop or anywhere for us to get convenience items past 8pm, which would have been appreciated.

The hotel was great. The free breakfast provided a delicious choice of many options. The drink coupons for the bar meant you got to know the other guests.
My only complaint is that the hotel has no easily identifiable signage outside. When trying to find it through the rain, it was difficult. And they have three sets of elevators which are not labeled and can be confusing which one to use as they go to different places.
That aside, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I definatley would use Embassy Suites in my future travels.

Great hotel is in a nice area with a metro station underneath. Good restaurants around. Very eadu to get into the National Mall and other sights.

This location doesn’t have a good room for family of five. The room has two double bed, which fits two people uncomfortably, and one sofa bed which was not comfortable for my 11 year son. He could not sleep and when his sister gave him their double bed for one night and slept on the sofa bed, the sofe bed was about to collapse.

We needed access to the Metro for sight seeing… this was a great location for accessibility to the D.C. Area
The front desk associates were so accommodating & helpful with some minor issues that came up. Breakfast staff were so willing to make our mornings brighter. Housekeeping staff attended to any extra requests we needed.
It’s a busy area.. but this was a perfect location for our family of 5. Thank you!

Did not like the fact that unlike other Embassy Suites they don’t make fresh made to order breakfast

Overall, this is a really nice hotel. Front desk and house keeping staff was very pleasant and accommodating but the breakfast staff was was not pleasant nor accommodating at all. They (the servers) had attitude problems and acted as though we were getting on their nerves. Pool was grossly over chlorinated rendering it intolerable and unenjoyable (even though other guests seemed to be enjoying it

Spacious room. Excellent maid service. Good breakfast (better during weekdays when omlettes were available) with friendly staff. Well equipped fitness center but needed cleaning and wipes were not available. Weather was hot and humid during our stay, and the room temp seemed to fluctuate between being too stuffy/humid in day to too cold when AC kicked on at night. Overall, a nice hotel with great location that we will consider staying at again in the future.

Too far from the convention center and we were told it was a 6 minute walk. Uber got quiet expensive over a five day period.

It kind of sucks that the mall has closed I guess since COVID but the area is really nice nice convenient breakfast and in the evenings they have a bar and snacks basically complimentary.

We asked for connecting rooms and it was confirmed via a phone call. When we arrived, we were informed no such rooms were available. It was a big disappointment for our children who were looking forward to spending time together

This hotel was beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our rooms for the price! We enjoyed the free happy hour drinks and the breakfast was *delicious*!! Very conveniently located next to the metro and the staff were super nice…we would have liked to have known about the $30/ night parking fees though!

Beautiful facility! Loved the set up, in the same building as the cheesecake factory and right next to dopamine land and marshall’s! didn’t like the breakfast being the same everyday. not alot of options and the alcohol choices were very slim as well. had fun overall, would recommend to a friend!

The shopping mall this hotel is in is closed and under renovations. the rooms are outdated and floors dirty and old. Staff were so friendly and nice but hotel was too dated and not that clean for us.

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we absolutely love it. It’s convenient, clean and has a delicious breakfast buffet. The happy hour is always good too.
Love that the metro stop is at the basement of the hotel.

Everything was perfect, except the mold on the shower ceiling and the queen beds were full size. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious and fast. We would stay again.
