We had a great experience. The front desk and hotel stuff was fantastic. We really enjoyed Sofra the middle eastern restaurant, and we had a great time with the spa.

Location outside the hotel compound is not a very nice neighborhood

Beautiful pool. Staff was very friendly and courteous. 5-Star service. There are also on site shops that make it easy to browse local goods without the high pressure tactics found elsewhere.

Gorgeous property. Friendly, helpful staff.
It was a perfect holiday! I can’t wait to return.

I can’t believe this hotel rates as a 5 Star. It’s more like a 3 star. I’m glad we only booked one night because I don’t think I would have survived the dirt of the hotel and sub standard offerings in their rooms and dinning offerings.

Friendly staff and nice place to stay

Property was well-maintained, clean, and spacious. The main restaurant had good options. The bar was nice for afternoon snacks and drinks.

Nice reception staff, good breakfast and cleanliness.

Magnificent view of the nile. Very relaxing and incredibly nice staff. Try not to book excursions through the travel agent on site as I found them more expensive than others. I definitely recommend the hot air balloon at dawn trip.

Excellent staff and hospitality!!

Large property with Nile views. 3 restaurants and 2 pools. However, the "heated pool" was the same temp as the unheated one, wifi didn't reach my room so I had to go to the pool lobby to use the internet. The staff insisted the wifi was fine... Don't think I'd stay there again for the price.

My stay was only for a night, but it was wonderful! The staff was more than helpful and so incredibly kind. I arrived a little before check in and was happy to grab lunch and wait, but they went above and beyond and got me in my room early. They could probably tell I was quite tired. This was my first trip to Luxor, but I have no doubt I will be checking in here again!

Everything was great. One thing I would recommend, is to advise the cleaning staff to double check before walking in the room. We forgot to put the do not disturb sign. Before we knew it, the cleaning guy was walking in our room.

The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very friendly. The hotel manager helped us when we needed some help.

The location and views are stunning, service excellent and great value for money. Pool is lovely by the Nile. Highly recommend

Great hotel, beautiful decor and facilities. Loved the safety aspects the hotel adopts with gates outside which allows tourists to wander around without all the harassment. The addition. Of a small shopping mall within the safety confines of the hotel grounds was very much appreciated. The staff of the hotel could not have been more accommodating. The restaurants etc were all excellent we would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone

Lovely hotel and staff were polite and respectful. The grounds were well maintained and the pools were nice. Food for breakfast and dinner for half board were good. Luxor was too hot when we visited recently so it was nice to have a place to just chill out at the spaciaous big airconditioned lounge after tours. Resort felt safe. The only thing i find hilarious was, when people check-in and are shown the room, the door access card doesn't work and then wait for a while for them to go down sort it out, and for this type of hotel, i find that crazy. And i noticed it happened to other hotel guests too. Very strange and don't understand why they would allow it (?tipping purposes?). Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.

This is the nice located praportie. On front of the Nile river. Hotel had a gate and was close to public axes which was providing a extra security. Staff was freandly and polite. Down part was that they couldn't speak English well ( eaven front desk ). Rooms where outdated. Overall was a good experiance.

It took us half an hour to check in, very slow staff
The room needs renovation, old linens
Food was good
Restaurant staff were too lasy cleaning the tables so we had to walk around 15 min to find a clean table to sit and eat

Great resort with beautiful garden right on the Nile. Lots of good facilities and friendly staff.
Some small items like power points and electrical appliances are outdated, there is a ferry dock next door which had a running diesel engine all day on one day. It spoils the pool area - don’t know what, if anything the hotel could do about that though.

After bouncing around city to city and having a less than stellar room in a cruise ship, Steigenberger Resort Achti was like an oasis. Very reasonably priced, a comfortable bed, and a really quite tasty breakfast buffet with a view that will stay with you the rest of your life. Best breakfast spread I've ever had at a hotel. In the States, hotels that are twice the price give you everything half the quality of Achti.
My only complaint is it feels a little too secluded. I know that sounds silly considering it's called a "resort." But it just kind of felt like I was stuck buying what the hotel was selling.

Normally we booked this 5stars hotel for relaxing and to be calmed, but our last night the hôtel management booked the garden for wedding,Soo Noisy until around midnight!!
Mean we have to still wake until the wedding is finished to sleep 😪
Dommage beacouse the hotel it's very good but when we are in vacation we need relaxing ...

Very accommodating with early check in (came in on night train from Cairo). Staff pleasant - shops around the hotel grounds had shopkeepers that weren’t pushy which was unusual for our experience in Egypt.

This is a dated property on the river bank but away from town. WiFi offered is less than 1mbs reminiscent of speeds from 20 years ago. Hotel staff doesn’t respond to emails from guests before arrival. Hallways are lined with old stained carpets. Bathrooms in the rooms are cramped. Food quality is decent but forgettable. Stay elsewhere.

Inside the property everything was great, but we felt threatened walking outside as local people started asking personal questions

Great Nile location. Breakfast buffet was good.
The bad. Dried feces on top of comforter. Replaced with yellow stained comforter and sheets not properly dried. Replaced with clean comforter no sheets. No apology or acknowledgment from staff. Said the tour director untruthful overpriced say anything to make a sale. Not to be trusted. Friendly staff on arrival ignored when leaving
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Overall not a 5 stars standard. positives: breakfast, great views to the nile and nice shopping area within complex. Negatives: internet, service and size of room and beds. no option for late check out or day use.

The rooms are dated and needs updating badly, but the overall hotel is ok. The shopping located out and to the left of the hotel is great, especially the jewelry store that you see as you first enter the shopping area on the left. The owner of the store is very friendly, kind, welcoming, honest, fair, and will treat you with the greatest respect and care, he's a really cool guy and so is his associate, they're very nice people!!

The hotel is not in the best condition. They definitely need new towels and new sheets. Also, when you eat in their restaurant and put the bill on your room, make sure you take a picture of the bill. When we checked out, the charges weren't correct (it was more than what was actually charged). Welcome to Egypt ;)

The Resort was beautiful but the garbage around the property was awful. People need to quit throwing their garbage into the beautiful Nile River.

A very roomy and comfortable resort right on the Nile. Great room, good breakfast spread and very nice staff. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is an oasis of calm in Luxor. Beautiful location overlooking the Nile with pleasant gardens. Staff as always are delightful.
