The harbour and the view of the opera house are the stars here. The hotel is excellently located and because it is only 3 levels feels really intimate and comfortable. Everything is in its place and the room was excellent with a beautiful view of the opera house and surrounds with our own balcony to soak it up. We had one experience though that dragged on the whole stay and spoiled it overall. We booked in December 2023 for two nights and the hotel policy is that one night is paid for as a deposit from a credit card. When we checked in it was noted that we no longer used the card we paid the deposit with. As we no longer had this card the hotel insisted we pay the full amount again and then to arrange a refund on the old card by disputing the transaction. The reasoning being that if we didn’t pay the whole stay again we might dispute the first transaction leaving them short. I did not like the insinuation that we would do this and I’ve certainly not enjoyed the inconvenience of paying an additional $1,600 for an extra night I did not stay and then make numerous phone calls trying to arrange a refund through the old credit card company. I still don’t have this refund two weeks after my stay. In my view, this is really bad service in a day and age where card not present transactions are made across all businesses everyday.

The property was located straight across from the opera house. The view was spectacular. I’m very lucky because I get to stay in some of the finest five star luxury properties, this park Hyatt is as good as it gets. The staff was extremely professional. Get the breakfast package with your room, you will not be disappointed

Amazing property! Location is great for the views and proximity to the heart of Sydney. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Nothing was too complicated. Not all the rooms had the promised views - we had to go out to the balcony to see the Opera House, but that didn’t detract much. The rooftop pool is awesome, as is the breakfast room. Definitely a fun hotel to stay at in Sydney!

4th time and last . Tradies turned up outside our balcony at 8am working on the Astro turf, looking into room , we were both not attired for this and we shut blinds . Paid for opera view looked at blinds . Complained to reception and they said basically to my shock bad luck . I said I was going to write an our review , Marilyn at reception said she didn’t mind . We booked 3 rooms that night for a business meeting and were at the property the week before . We will take our business elsewhere

I proposed to my fiancé during this stay. A very special time for us. I did not expect an upgrade but expected a good room in our category. Nothing could be done. Trying pre-arrange a surprise Spa visitor for my partner and then a small group celebration in the bar were not simple. A request for a vase for flowers took 2 reminders and over 3 hours to be addressed. Just another number in your booking system. It was the most impersonal experience - and for the price almost unforgivable. The property is delightful. The service - less than ordinary. The Cartier store and Quay restaurant went out of their way to create a special occasion for us.

This feels like a small Hotel and is nice because it is low rise and i think you feel more connected with the immediate surrounds. It is also located in an amazing spot on the harbour with many activites happening all around you.

the hotel is well appointed, but not to the standard to expect for the money. For example went to have a scotch- ordered a single malt on rocks - got a white rye and when asked why i was advised the malt in that brand was out of stock- so i chose a different brand - Mccullun 12year again advised that was out of stock but suggested a 25 year at $265 per shot. i would expect a reasonable range of scotch at fair prices

Brilliant stay and the staff is what made it amazing and as you would expect with a Hyatt the facilities did not disappoint either. We required a room change mid stay (no fault of the hotel) and it was swift and seamless from intial call to concierge to sending someone to assist in the room change. The food for both resturant and room service delicious and lovely cocktails ij the lounge bar to finish off a night. Will be returning.

I am aware covid is a issue in Sydney. However the communication from the hotel before the stay or even during was poor. There was no mention of the bar and restaurant being closed the whole time due to them being understaff. It was 6pm on the second day when we received a letter to our door that explained they were understaffed and will not have their restaurant or bar open. If we had known prior to our stay or even when checking in, we would have prepared ourselves and book lunches and dinners elsewhere before missing out. The only offering was a simple in-room dining service. The pool upstairs also had a simplified menu and no one around most of the time to even make an order. I understand the hotel is understaffed, however to pay the rate we did was for the full experience which wasn’t available. It was disappointing and unfortunate.

Check in was fine. Room fantastic. After check in ordered some wine and nibbles next to reception. 30 minutes later it hadn't arrived so reminded them and it was clear they lost the order somehow. Next morning at breakfast they messed up the coffees and a little later, waited 15 minutes for a 2nd coffee that never arrived so gave up and left the restaurant. Later, by reception again, I ordered a light lunch, which also never arrived until I reminded them of it. A hotel like this should be able to anticipate your needs. This experience was quite the opposite
