We stayed at the WestCord City Centre in Amsterdam for a couple of days following the end of a Rhine River cruise. Hotel was in a nice, convenient location to the train station and easy access to the city.
Hotel itself was nice, clean, friendly staff. Our room was a bit small, but not unusual for a city hotel (I've stayed in hotel rooms in NYC that were much smaller).

Overnight stay before river cruise

We stayed here for the first time and I won’t be staying back here.
The room was cold, we had to keep ringing to ask to put the heating on as our dial wasn’t working.
I asked for a bucket of ice as I had damaged my foot and couldn’t walk on it and they told me I had to come down for this, eventually they came to give it me after 30 minutes.
The room was not cleaned properly, left dirty cups and stains on the bed sheets.
Best thing about this hotel was the location as it walking distance from where you need to be.
The breakfast staff were lovely.
4.2
The hotel was central to all the attractions and Amsterdam Central train station which made it easy to travel to the airport.
4.2
Great location with a very good breakfast.
4.2
The room was somewhat small and cramped, but still held a good standard. Did not appreciate the glass door to to the bathroom. Good breakfast, though not a lot to choose from. Excellent location.
4.2
Enjoyable stay. Good service, especially supportive reception. Cannot access hotel without room card from a security perspective. Decent breakfast. Would recommend free walking tours, especially as Anne Frank visit books up early. Nice day out at Haarlem. 15 minutes on the train less busy than Amsterdam but still canal trips, windmill and good food options. Rijts museum worth a visit. Hotel close to Damm square.
4.2
Excellent value, close to Central train station and most tourist sites. Friendly staff, clean room, free coffee and water.
4.2
So convenient to all sights in Amsterdam.
4.2
Great location for everything to see, unfortunately no fridge in the room.
4.2
The hotel location is very good and the service and lobby are lovely. My girlfriend and I had twin beds. The room was so small the we had to crawl over a bed to go to the bathroom! The decor needs upgrading in the rooms which we were told they were going to do. I would not stay there again.
4.2
The location is perfect - just a few minutes from the central train station, next to a tram stop, and smack in the middle of central Amsterdam, within easy walking to all of the shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel itself could use some superficial touch-ups like new carpet, etc, but the beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works great, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The police station is across the street, so you feel very safe.
4.2
Outstanding staff and perfect location. 5 blocks from Centraal rail station. Right on a tram line that can take you the Rijks Museum, etc. Room was small but very comfortable. Yummy breakfast. Staff helped me find a great place for dinner and with my train reservation.
4.2
Really nice n easy to travel about the city
4.2
The room was very small but had comfy beds. And to be fair, you aren’t going to Amsterdam to sit in a hotel room all day. Staff was fantastic: friendly and helpful. Centraal Station was a short walk to hotel. Good breakfast options in the morning. Tram stop right out front. Small market next door. The Amsterdam canal area is gorgeous but the amount of trash and cigarette butts on the ground really detracts from the beauty of the city. This is of course no fault of the hotel which was very clean, just an observation of the area itself.
4.2
Comfortable, would stay here again.
4.2
Great stay here spotlessly, clean room and bathroom.
Really central, so walked most places. Staff were very efficient with check in.
There was the negative of a giant pile of excretment right at the main entrance door, on the street but still not a good look.....or smell.
4.2
Stayed here 3 nights pripr to a river cruise - great location - tram right outside - Centraal Station 5 min walk - shops and cafes steps away - canals minutes away - staff could have been more committed to the cause - showed a reluctance to help with enquiries - most spoke good English

I encountered very weirded situation with the hotel .. they withdrew 275 USD down payment while my reservation payment should be at the property and it was 4 days before travelling. I need hotels.com investigation department to inspect the improper financial transaction which violates the reservation policy I received. I will be waiting a corrective actions against the unjustified incidente as they didn't respect the agreement which was mentioned my hotels.com.

Lobby was very inviting and the staff was kind and helpful.
4.2
Very central location with helpful staff.

Was great and highly recommend this hotel!

We love the location, this hotel is very central. We were able to walk to most attractions. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. We booked the City view rooms, and they are Very small. We don't like that the bathroom wall is frosted glass, prefer a solid wall and door. The buffet breakfast has a listed price of €21 per person. However, we paid €19 because we prepaid this at the time of hotel check-in. Breakfast is OK, we got this because of convenience. Overall, we would stay here again if in Amsterdam.
4.2
It was clean!

A great stay near everything

This property is in a great loaction. Easy walking distance to central station, dam square & other things. The staff was amazing. Super friendly. However, we wont stay here again simply because of the bathroom. We saw 3 rooms while we were there and the bathroom was the same. The space foe the toliet was super small. My hisband is 6 foot 3 and only 200 punds and there was barely enough space. He was basicly wedged in. So if you're a small person then this hotel is perfect. If you're a little on the large side you may want to reconsider.
4.2
Conveniently located within walking distance to the train station. Rooms are small but clean and perfectly maintained. They have yummy mint and lemon water available all day as well as coffee.
4.2
Perfect always
4.2
Very good starting point for all your journeys around Amsterdam.
4.2
Really good location, plenty of food options close by. Transport links really good, would stay again.
4.2
Great location and convenient to Centraal Station. Very small rooms. Staff was helpful and their English was excellent. They did charge more city tax than what was anticipated through Expedia.
4.2
Excellent location for getting about Amsterdam. Check in efficient, staff friendly. Breakfast was good and available early enough if going out on a day trip.
Did not find the bed comfortable, and don’t like having 2 single beds pushed together to make a double bed.
4.2
Great lobby, great building, great location. Our room slept 3, the bathroom was a bit small but otherwise a great experience.
4.2
Great location
4.2
The hotel's location was quiet given that street traffic is limited and a police station is directly across. A tram stop is a 30 second walk from the front door.
I did note that just outside of the back entryway is a small branch of the red light district. But it seemed more like a neighborhood than the more infamous part of town. Depending on your sentiments, the proximity may be a negative. I had no sense of a safety concern.
The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was well worth the money (I really enjoyed the still-a-bit-warm loaves of bread).

What a great find this hotel was. Having stayed at the INK Hotel across the road previously, but wanting a more wallet friendly option in a similar location I was extremely pleasantly surprised with this hotel, which has a lovely light and modern reception area with free hot drinks. As a female travelling alone I felt extremely safe with the requirement for hotel key cards to access both entrances, the lift and the reception toilets. The room was basic but very clean, with everything you would need, complimentary coffee machine and kettle, a good sized en suite and comfy bed. The staff were extremely friendly, and the location to the nearest Tramline was a matter of meters, the only slight downside to this was hearing them at night. Overall I would use this hotel again based on its excellent location, cleanliness and friendliness. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Location was perfect, tram stop out front
Walkable to central station. Great spot overall
Dam square a few minute walk down the street. Great staff, No complaints at all!
4.2
Extremely helpful staff
Will store luggage if needed after/before checkout, very convenient when waiting for cruise to start
4.2
The room was rather small. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was quite disorganised. Often had to ask staff to refill most of the items.
4.2
Excellent location, good hotel and staff.
