the water in the room had low pressure and on full hot, the water was barely warm. Therefore comfort was questionable. The breakfast was just okay, had better quality last year.
Price and location were good.

There was only luke warm water in the shower in the morning and the shower head even made it colder.

We were upgraded to a suite, no extra charge, and were overwhelmed with the size and luxuriousness! The breakfast was outstanding, the staff especially friendly and attentive, and determined to make our stay extra special! The breakfast staff was constantly busy keeping things stocked, tables cleaned, etc. All around it was an EXCELLENT experience, a beautiful hotel, and we most definitely would stay there again!

It was very nice for an older property. Breakfast was great, rooms really nice. Very close to the freeway.

The lock didn't work on the first room, either key card. The arriving people were loud talking and doors closing.

I showed up to the hotel at 11 o’clock. It was myself and 5 children ages 3 months - 12. When we went to take my infant out his seat he had a mouth full of blood. It was genuinely terrifying. The woman working the counter quickly opened lobby doors. Allowed all of my kids to come in and called 9-1-1 for me. When my son was being put into the ambulance she respectfully asked if the room should be held or cancelled. I asked her to cancel. She could not because I booked through hotels.com, but stated if they called her she’d tell them to process. And that is exactly what ended up happening. I am so grateful for people like this woman. We never found out where the blood came from in the baby’s mouth, but after an hour or so at the hospital and a 6 hour drive we are home and keeping an eye on him. Thank you to this employee. You helped take care of my family in a. Scary situation.

They were considerate enough to provide ear plugs for the many trains that run all night lol.
Train service is alive and thriving.

It’s just off the highway perfect after a long day of driving. The staff(especially the breakfast ladies-just delightful) was professional, efficient and friendly.
It’s not a resort but had pool and such. A good and fair value.

Amazing. Great tv. Lots of Chanel’s.

Average older hotel remodeled just enough where it looked decent but still had things like the tub making a loud noise in the wall when you turned on the water, toddler-sized toilet and hard as rock beds. Pool was ice cold and smelled and there was no hot hub. R but clean. Great customer service at the front desk though.

It is an OK motel for Barstow. They try. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The check-in guy was grumpy.

Good place for stay.

On our way back to the West Coast we stopped at the Best Western Desert Villa Inn.
The room was quite comfortable, definitely clean, although the air conditioning was noisy. The hotel is right next to the freeway and railroad, which makes it easy to get to, but also adds to the noise. We even found earplugs in the room provided by the hotel...
All in all, the hotel is ok for a short stay and we can definitely recommend staying there...

At 105 degrees out, we looked forward to using the pool. There was no covering on the pool ladder and it was red hot; the steps on the ladder were so far apart that it was necessary to pull yourself up on the ladder or should I say impossible.
Also, the mattress was horrible; lumpy; could feel springs and sheets were thread bare at edges.

The room was quite basic and at 10pm our A/C broke and the room stank of smoke so we had to change rooms which was quite inconvenient.
Breakfast however was very nice and and extra thank you to Maria who was making breakfast extra special for us!

Noise from nearby rail traffic. Heater was excessively loud.
Breakfast was very good and managed well.

Great for a one night stay. If it's good enough for the Bonneville Hotshots, it’s good enough for me! Overall good value. Also recommend eating at Los Domingos up the street.

Driving out of the hotel is dangerous with people going fast around the turn next to the exit... the beds were awful, stains on the blankets, sheets, and most of the pillows and strands of hair on the pillows. We won't be staying at that location again

Although the room was clean just stepping outside the door was filthy. Rain puddled in front. A dying kitten was lying nearby. A homeless man was knocking on doors. Breakfast was barely edible.

I loved that the pet friend rooms have no carpet. Close to the freeway and a little dog run :-)

Overnight stop on way from LA to Vegas.

I reserved one night but got there a day early. The staff did not know how to handle that. Instead on 2 nights, they charged me for 3. Still waiting to get my refund for the 3rd stay i didnt need.

It’s clean, I love their products for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The refrigerator worked great. It was a quiet and pleasant day. The staff was very helpful. It is right off the highway and an easy return right back on the next day. I recommend it highly.

First, I want up say that the staff member I spoke with was very kind
My son and I left less than 5 minutes after we arrived and didn't go back. The pictures did not look like the room, the bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, and I don't see it mentioned anywhere (although it's on their main sign) that this is also a mobile home park. This is clearly an extended-stay VERY low-budget motel. I think they tried to do the best with what they had. The lobby is very nice and welcoming. However, unless you're used to staying somewhere like Hunts Point, do your research and avoid this accommodation and, arguably, Barstow as a whole.

The room was too hot and the ac didn’t work very well. Also the shudders didn’t block out light very well so it was harder to sleep than usual.
Breakfast was great though and the staff were really nice and the place was well kept

We decided on Best Western Desert Villa Inn because of the pool. Only reason! When we arrived the pool closed a few hours before we got here. VERY disappointing, will not be coming back.

Upon checking in the dude at the front desk warned me that the hotel wasn’t responsible for anything and had me sign a waiver! Outside there was homeless bums and shopping carts full of their crap. Nobody cares at this place. The room was dark and had an unclean feel about it. The other Best Western I found looks bright and welcoming and is in a much better location!

Left Vegas to stay half way to LA. Arrived at 10pm. The staff was delightful. The room was nice. Only complaint, air was not on , so the room was very hot . Took most of the night to cool down.

Clean room. Comfortable bed, nice front desk staff. The amount of homeless people in the area made it a little uncomfortable leaving our packed cars in the lot but the lighting helped.

I needed a last-minute place to stop after driving 12 hours and I picked this hotel based on the good reviews. Other travelers raved about the cleanliness, safety, and location. When I arrived, I honestly wondered if I ended up at the wrong place.
There were stray animals and random people wandering in the parking lot upon arrival in the late afternoon, which didn't make me feel safe. The room was not cleaned properly. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the bathroom door, a sticky dark stain on the floor, and some hairs in the tub. I was too exhausted to deal with it, so I just went to bed. Luckily, the sheets were clean. In the middle of the night, I was awoken by the whole room shaking. I thought it might be a small earthquake, but it was a train going by.
I got up and left first thing in the morning. The breakfast was meh, so I just grabbed a banana and a muffin on my way out & those were fine.
I hate giving poor reviews. I stay at a lot of hotels because I travel a lot and I'm usually pretty forgiving, but this was definitely a disappointment.

It was amazing
