Overall good, and we got a new room when we had bad smell from bathroom

Very nice place. Clean and friendly. Great buffet breakfast! On a major BLVD - close to Centro and you can walk to other attractions along that BLVD. Buses are right out front, and metro a couple of blocks away.

The hotel is very old, the carpet is very stained, the shower has mold everywhere. The rooms are not well cleaned everyday. We noticed that they do not vacuum the carpet daily. The only good thing is the location.

Great hotel, great staff!

5 star price tag for a 3 star hotel.
1. Rooms are dated.
2. Mould in shower
3. Hair-dryer broken after 3 mins use. Twice. Took 2 phone calls and one visit to the front desk to have it fixed next day
4. The coffee machine is very old and basic, hard to operate. Requested a kettle, got a 5 dollars boutique which did not cut off automatically.
5. No English communication in general
6. Room not serviced when back at 5pm. No one came after half an hour, even reception promised to send cleaner.
7. Complimentary wake up service in the morning by cleaner even DO NOT DISTURB sign hung out. Cleaner did not get in as we locked the door, not as BAD as the other reviewers experienced.
9. The breakfast is dull, service us poor, coffee terrible, and fruit not fresh.
10. If you want a hot shower, make sure to turn it on 5 minutes before you need it.

The Barceló continues to be a favorite in Mexico City. Its location is perfect for exploring both the historic center of town and Reforma Boulevard south towards the Zona Rosa. The staff is eager to assist and the food is wonderful.

I’m traveling a lot to your hotel with my team.
This stay is one that I took the decision to move out to other property when I was diamond at Hilton.
I made 4 rooms reservation this time and all the rooms were under the 5th floor when I a platinum meme bet from Expedia. All my team complained to me for noise and missing regular amenities plus quality of linen.

Property is very nice but in an area that had protest all weekend. The A/C did not work well. When they came to fix it they said it works but never could get the room under 20c.

Nice hotel, very clean, nice spa and pool. The only downside for me was the service. I called down twice for a corkscrew that never did arrive. Not speaking Spanish was a hindrance for me.
I was on the “premium” level and that was fantastic. Separate area for breakfast with a good selection and coffee/ latte machine.
