Overall not a bad hotel. The room is average - clean but has a faint funny smell. Arrival was a little annoying. The entrance has a traffic circle for temporary parking but the area is so tight despite the large property that is was very hard to maneuver around other cars stopped there. It seems like a few cars were there long term despite all the 10 min parking signs. The lobby was overly hot. Check in staff was very nice and helpful. As usual, connecting to the free WiFi was difficult. The pop-ups when connecting to the bonvoy WiFi network were blank and had to be reattempted multiple times. Front desk staff attempted to help with connection but was unsuccessful so they gave me a number for their WiFi provider but I opted not to waste my time with that and just used my cellular data and hotspot for my kids devices

Fire alarm went off multiple time early in the morning. The second time after everybody was allowed to go back in their room the emergency door wouldn’t open. I was told it gets stuck.

Generally great experiences here, but this one was a clunker. The room had been cleaned, but sloppily - open soap in the bathroom, garbage not emptied, small details like that. However - I was on the second floor, looking out over the roof of a section of the first floor. At about 7am, a man (not a guest) found his way up to that roof, was peeking in windows including mine, and screaming obscenities (racial and homophobic slurs) for about 30 minutes. A guest in the next room finally confronted him, and somehow the man found his way into that room where there was some sort of altercation, and police were called. Obviously this is an extenuating circumstance, but I was disappointed when the hotel would only reimburse half my stay for that evening, claiming no responsibility. I agree that the hotel can't be held responsible for the surrounding community or individuals who are clearly going through something intense, but the question remains how the man found his way onto the roof, and how he was able to stay there for so long with no intervention. THAT, to me, is a security threat, and absolutely the responsibility of the hotel. Again, I've had great stays here most of the time. But this one was alarming.

This was the worst night of sleep ever. The AC unit Sounded like you were in an airplane the whole time. There was nothing the front desk could do. Let alone the bed was as hard as a rock but the AC until was the worst.

staff was very good, and was receptive of my requests. However. the only accessible parking was in a garage that cost 21.00 dollars a night and there was not even a continental breakfast. I paid 12.00 dollars for a breakfast sandwich and another 3.50 for a Starbucks coffee. That puts the actual cost of the room well over the advertised price.

Awkward arrivals. Small parking area that got overcrowded. Needed to check in then get your luggage drive to the tiered parking garage. Leave luggage unattended or take bags to room and then go move car?? Took a shower and washed my hair to find that there was no hairdryer in the room. Called front desk 5 times to request one. No answer. Ended up going out with half wet unstyled hair. Went out for dinner and returned after dark. Lot was not well lit and being a woman over 75 I was quite nervous. Wished for valet parking. Noisy during the night with multiple times sirens waking me. Ended my stay this morning with the toilet not flushing well.

You have noise from traffic no matter which side of hotel your room is. On the backside of hotel you have distant never ending sound of cars on 84. On the front side you have close local traffic from Grand St. The traffic from Grand st. louder, but dies down at night. I like the Grand st. side better because local traffic sound does not bother me that much, and like I said it dies down at night so it's not a problem. At 2am in the morning on one of the nights I stayed there, landscapers were using leave blowers and it was extremely loud. How dumb it that to have that kind of work done while people are trying to get a nights sleep. I give the eco friendly a low grade because the shower only has full blast. So strong the force of the water hurts. there may have been a way to adjust it but I couldn't figure it out, unless it was broken. All in all it was a great, comfortable stay. I had stayed at the motor lodge a year ago, and the traffic on 84 was unbearable, and I stayed on the back side which does not face 84. Courtyard is the only way to go if you're a light sleeper. I will definitely stay there again next time I visit Waterbury.

Coffee shop was supposed to open at 7 am on Sundays and when asked for a coffee at 7:15 am to the employee said that we have to wait 15 minutes to order it.

Liked the ambience. The bed (mattress) was horrible, back pain and restlessness had to sleep on the sofa, constant dripping on a metal plate in the shower. Front desk notified at ckeckout.
