Excellent(862 Reviews)4.2
Hotel was doing massive construction in the lobby between the hours of 11pm and 5am. Worse noise I ever experienced in a hotel at these hours.
4.2
Stunning facility and great staff. We were there for Labor Day weekend and loved all the activities. There was certainly not a shortage of things to do. Only negative is the food quality and prices for the food and drinks?
4.2
Everything was absolutely wonderful except the air conditioning unit in the room was very loud. It woke me up a couple of times during the night.
4.2
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy time with your family.
4.2
Short staffed throughout the restaurants and the food was a disappointment everywhere we ate on the property. That is not considering the outrageous price of the food either. A/C unit was loud and clunky in the room and did not work consistently either for the 4th of July weekend.

Amazing experience.
4.2
Beautiful property. Very hard to get to though. Small roads. No cell phone service for most of the drive

This destination was so perfect we have already booked again and added 2 days to the next trip. The golf was relaxing, the food in every restaurant was excellent (including room service which came within 20 minutes). When we played The Cascades our clubs were there, delivered by hotel.
4.2
Service and friendly staff

Luxurious weekend. Ambiance is superb. The only thing is that the food experience for every meal is only ok. Everything is good but it lacks…..a finishing touch. The recipes are outdated. The execution is hotel-chain quality. Not many healthy options. For such a gorgeous place and such price point I think the facility should invest in a more refined culinary team.

The Omni Homestead, a stunning historic resort, nestled in the mountains among hot springs, offers delicious dining options and a plethora of activities for all generations. But, what stands out most to me is the gentility and professionalism of the staff who made me feel like family. Can't wait to see them again!

We enjoyed our visit

The trip was very relaxing. I wanted a relaxing place to celebrate with my wife our anniversary and this was everything we wanted (and needed). The resort was quiet and the room was comfortable. The staff was friendly, polite and professional -excellent all around. The couples massage was top notch, thank you Noah. The food was delicious. My only request would be more luxurious towels in the room to really complete the feeling of being pampered. I highly recommend for a relaxing getaway, any occasion!

Beautiful resort. Stopped halfway on way to pick up our daughter from college in GA. We did not want to leave. Beautiful pools and grounds
Our dog loved it too. Easy for pets you can walk them right off the porch

Very interesting history and property.

The resort itself was beautiful but we arrived while a cyber attack had hit the resort, so the experience was not as planned. Staff was friendly, but very unhelpful in the fact that they weren’t forthcoming with information such as our reservations for activities having been erased or certain activities such as the arcade not being usable. It was very much figure things out and be disappointed as you go. We were first led to a one bed room when we had booked one with 2, and also had to have someone walk us to our room whenever we needed to get in because keys were not able to be made. They didn’t seem to have things staffed well, especially eateries, so some meals took a really long time to be served. The website was very frustrating, and so was the answering service. It was very hard to get consistent information on everything from activities, food, spa……. The place is beautiful, but very overpriced for the experience..

Hotel is beautiful. The pools are amazing. We paid for a day pass to the spa pools and it was worth it. The mineral springs were so relaxing and the aqua therapy room was too! The only negative comment would be that there were never pool towels when we went and it wasn’t that early

Waking up to a dog barking at 7:45 am in the next room. Ugh

Our stay was truly a pleasure, from the food to the activities to the kind hospitality. There is such a welcoming charm to the Homestead and its location that set it apart from other resorts. I enjoyed the tour led by John, highlighting the history of the hotel and surrounding area. We highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing!

The service at Woody’s restaurant was horrible. We were told the wait would be ten minutes( it turned out to be 45minutes.) We waited at the bar which the temperature of the room had to be 50 or less. They keep saying they were understaffed but if they were so so unstaffed, they should’ve NOT opened the restaurant. The food was delicious but not worth wasting an hour and an half before getting it.

Great family weekend getaway at the Omni Homestead! The property is stunning and well kept. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food was good in all restaurants we tried. Lots of activities for the whole family. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We will return for sure!

Liked all the dufferent social areas. the social hour was nice -live music! staff was very good.
4.2
Very historical property. Everything to do is on property.
The town is very small and not worth talking about. The restaurants on property are good but quite expensive. Our room smelled musty but not too bad. The SPA is okay and expensive for what you get. I'm glad we went but for me it's a "one and done".
4.2
We went Tues-Friday and it was VERY empty... gave us "The Shinning" vibes. By Friday it was getting busier for the weekend, which was nice. The spa was expensive and half of it was not working. The hot springs pool had a lot of algae and we didn't go in. The pool and hot tub were nice. The massage was okay. The day use spa is supposed to include a warm room (nice) warming chairs (ok), cold room (was broken), steam room (broken; only was 80 degrees). It was dated and kind of gross. It's an historic building, so probably should give it the benefit of the doubt, but it seemed too large to manage and constant repairs/broken areas. Pet peeve, but not a major issue is that valet parking is required ($35/day) and the car is 5 minutes away, so every time we left felt like a hassle even thought we are in the middle of nowhere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, which was lovely.

I enjoyed the activities and dinning experience in the resort. The Warm Spring pool experience was amazing. The food was great. All the staff are super nice. The only complain I have is my room. The heat unit was very loud, and it keeps going on and off, making it very difficult to fall asleep, and would wake up multiple times by the noise even after falling asleep. Our room was right next to the elevator which making it worse. There were a lot of ladybugs on the windows, I am talking about over 50 of them total in 3 windows total. For $500 a night, I am expecting better than this. Besides the room, everything else was amazing. But not getting a good sleep took all the bonus points off for me.

Simply wonderful resort with a great staff. We are impressed!

Great place. Only issue were the small double beds. Way too small for two adults - need to change out for Queen size

The Omni Homestead Resort is breathtakingly beautiful! The new renovations have saved the history and character of this grand hotel while updating it with more modern conveniences. The beautifully decorated grounds and common areas, and especially the grand hall with it’s two story Christmas tree, burning logs in the fireplaces, and gifted pianists playing Christmas tunes on the grand piano made our two night stay here our favorite part of this Christmas.
4.2
The Homestead does not disappoint.
4.2
The decor is brighter than before and pleasant. However the windows no longer can be opened... they were painted shut and therefore there was no fresh air and the room was stuffy.
FYI...There was an undisclosed charge of $35 for 'parking' on top of the 'resort charge' of $49. And add about 20% for taxes to the room and those charges. Theatre popcorn $11! Its a nice place but beware of the real cost.

The Omni Homestead Resort is an outstanding remote location that has great service and comfort. It is tucked away in Hot Springs, VA and is majestic during the Winter Holiday Season. Food is expensive but lodging is very reasonable.

When we arrived we were greeted graciously by the valet. (Best thing about the trip!) I registered for 2 queen beds w/a view. We got 2 doubles w/a view of a dumpster. Dead bugs on the window sill and windows so dirty we could barely see out of them. I had to request tissues bc we there were none in the room. Then I called again because we were out of toilet paper. I proceeded to take a shower and discovered that there was no shampoo in the bathroom either! The next day we discovered that refrigerator was not working because we had put some leftovers in it and it was warm so we had to throw them out. My daughters went to get a manicure and the heat was out in the spa. So one of my daughter’s nails wouldn’t dry and the other one’s nails started peeling the next day (gel nail polish usually lasts 2 weeks) not worth the $244 I paid!!! So they offered to pay for our trip to the hot spring pools,(a $90 credit) but I got charged for it anyway! After telling management all of the problems, they still did NOTHING!!!!! I DON’T recommend this place unless you enjoy spending A LOT of money and letting a company like Omni taking advantage of you and steal your money!

Loved the history of this hotel, especially the history tour of the hotel. Finally finished with their renovations so everything is quite lovely. Very friendly staff, beautiful common areas, amazing front porch with comfortable sitting and expansive well kept grounds. Great escape in the Virginia mountains.
