This could have been a much better experience - all our negatives are easily fixable things except for the noise. Pros: great location - all the things you’d want and need are nearby, clean rooms, heated bathroom floors, good breakfast. Cons: while the location is good for getting around, it was next to a bar that would get quite noisy around 2:00am and last a while on Fri and Sat nights; and while the bed was comfy, the pillows provided made for tough sleeping- one was tiny and flat and one was sooo big; bedside tables were ottomans which is just weird as things tend to fall off; as for the breakfast, they did offer a nice variety however, the items that should’ve been warm, such as eggs were often quite cold. ; no counter space in the bathroom despite having plenty of room to accommodate that; toilet was so high my feet dangled when sitting. The problem may have been we were put in an accessible room, though we didn’t need it. Based on this experience, we would not stay here again.

Location and staff are great. Very expansive breakfast. Lovely view of the harbor but at night was quite loud from drunken visitors until about 0330 Saturday and 0030 Sunday-Monday

Even though we just stayed for one night, everything was great! The room was very comfortable and clean. Bed and the bathroom were amazing! The breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had, it was absolutely outstanding and delicious!!

Lovely hotel very close to the harbour in Bergen so easy to get round. Spacious room, bath with shower over which was a little tricky for my mother but all clean. Faucet was loose in bathroom but still worked. Very good breakfast. Quiet in spite of being a busy hotel.

Very central. But with the parking garage on the other side of the street, very comfortable. Room quiet and comfortable. Service was very friendly. Breakfast very tasty with a lot of variaties. We enjoyed a lot our stay. And will comd back as soon as possible.

The rooms were extremely small, shower too small and leaked. Rooms were poorly appointed. The bathroom door locked with a small hook on a small nail.

Located in a nice area of bergen with many dining options (and located in front of a parking - very convenient), this hotel is very functional with very nice and efficient staff. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast buffet that was excellent and with a large choice ! Excellent value for money for a stay in Bergen

It’s an adequate hotel. A solid 3 .5 star The breakfast is very good and included. But hotel is dated and there are no dining options inside. However it’s convenient and easy to walk to restaurants and Brugge is few steps away. No AC and gets hot at night. Fan helps but noisy

This hotel slightly falls short of four stars. No AC. Good breakfast. Slightly dated, Hotel team polite but indifferent. Hotel does not provide the umbrellas but you can rent or buy one. The hotel could have a view but the town chose to build a big parking garage between the hotel and the waterfront. Overall we have had better hotel experiences in Norway than at this one.

Had booked a single room, but I have never stayed in a room with such a poor floor plan. When opening the door it hit a hanger that was placed on the side of the closet. There was nowhere to put you suitcase due to too much furniture. I contemplated moving a big chair into the hallway outside, but it was too heavy. The bed could not have been more than 80 cm wide. When the room is that small why do you take up space with a cupboard for an ironing board?? Went to the reception and was told that my room was 13 sqm and that it was the biggest single room the had...

The Thon near the waterfront in Bergen was a convenient location. Just a few steps away from the waterfront and Bryggen. Paid parking is available across the street. We booked two standard queen rooms. The rooms were very small. One was so small that we could not move around the room when our carry on luggage was inside. The staff tried very hard, but appeared to have inadequate help most days. Outside of early morning hours, only one or two front desk staff were available to assist. Notably, many coffee and tea cups placed in the lounges and rooms were not adequately cleansed and had dried residue on the bottom of the cup. Finally, the breakfast buffet was mediocre. Many items ran out because of understaffing and the quality of the food was mediocre.
