Really Loved the place we will use it again

Beds aren't the most comfortable (got a room with 2 double beds). Last time we got a room with a king size it was a better mattress. Vacuuming by the housekeeper could be better. The women working at the breakfast buffet were miserable. Ladies at the check in counter were friendly and helpful.

My family stayed in a 2-bedroom suite at a great value rate. Very comfortable and breakfast was included. Can’t beat that!
4.5
The rooms need updating and maintenance. The shower faucet was loose and furniture was very dated and in disrepair. The staff was very friendly but a better job cleaning and vacuuming would be helpful.

Service was good. Room clean only issue was a mildew smell on hall as well as in my room. The complimentary breakfast was good as well. I was overall pleased with the stay. Was in town for game between my alma mater NCCU vs UNC. Would definitely recommend though.

We have stayed at this hotel before in 2020 and it was all good. This time our car plus another 6 or more cars were all broken into. Our windows were smashed in and we had to get our car home that day since we had no glass in the windows.
We had to walk over to the home Depot nearby to get supplies to clean car seats the best we could and tape the windows for the 3 hr drive home. We spoke to the police and he said because the hotels in area we stayed at are close to the interstate that vandals smash and grab and get back on the interstate, plus Durham NC is one of the highest crime cities in NC now next to Charlotte NC.
If you take the chance there, the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfy. Too bad we can't stay there anymore. We only stay in Durham for my husbands Drs appt at Duke. We had an appt this morning ( Sept 10th) but we left yesterday the 9th due to this incident. The hotel had cameras but that doesn't matter to vandals.
Hope this helps others. If you stay un Durham Id say stay where there is a parking garage. We were NOT charged for the 2nd day. Everyone at the hotel are very nice. Others who work at the hotels said this has happened several times at this hotel so beware.
Good Luck.

Pleasant stay. The hotel is dated somewhat and the first day there were issues with hot water in some rooms including mine. This was quickly fixed. The staff were friendly and helpful. As always, the room layouts were great.
4.5
Location was great. Staff was friendly. The property however needs deep cleaning on the furniture and carpet. The bathroom tub faucet constantly leaks. Sofa bed has blood stain on the mattress.

Wife and I stayed in a double bed suite with our 15 year old. Beds were a little small for 2 people and the couch and carpet were very dated. We put a bed sheet over the couch. The rooms have a fairly nice layout and worked for a family of 3. Any more would have been right. Small kitchen was nice.

Dirty, crunched up dorito in the carpet.

Its getting a little older but still maintained and always very clean and pleasent stay.

Great Value

The hotel was quiet and in fairly good condition. The pull out bed in the couch had a big stain on the bottom, which was a little off putting. Everything else was pretty clean. The suite was nice size and the kitchen was nice. The hotel staff were very nice. At breakfast there were various choices - cereal, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, juice. The only suggestion I would have is to maybe label the muffins and maybe have another sweet treat like danish or cinnamon rolls. Overall our stay was good.

Traveling with family and friends for my grandson little league football game. Just 15 minutes away from the park plenty of restaurants in the area. Staff were excellent.
Only thing was we asked to get towers n for them to get the trash we got the towels but the gave us trash bags n told us to bring trash n put it in her trash ben. That was a NO

Rooms was very clean and big. Walkable to many restaurants and shopping

The Hotel was quiet, front desk agents and staff were friendly & apologized for inconvenience but then again low stars for not offering a discount for the AC not working properly at night. AND the fact that maintenance was scheduled to check the smoke detectors in the rooms but at NO moment did they send out a flyer to let quest know that they needed to get in the rooms. I had someone knocking on the door, but they never identify themself and why they needed to get in the room (I had the "Privacy door tag" on the door & he INSISTED that he get in without asking if everyone was dressed!? If they would have slipped a flyer under the door the night before to let the guest know!? (I WORKED AT A HOTEL AND YOU HAVE (MUST) NOTIFIY THE GUEST OF ANYONE OR ANYTHING THAT WILL BE HAPPENING IN THE RESERVED PAID FOR ROOMS)!!!!! But yes, after that they did send out a flyer for another maintenance check after THAT!!! I was appalled that the maintenance staff member DID NOT identify himself & then accompanied by an outside company (Fire Inspectors) as well!!!! SAFETY first for me and then you can say I was or may have been wrong to NOT let them in at the moment WHICH I DID due to the fact that I know the inspector had a job to do!!!!! Another reason for low star is breakfast (brunch)! They had tacos on the BREAKFAST bar. We had breakfast meat at least 3 times in a 9 day. AND I saw a staff put the ice used to cool the yogurts in the water cooler that we drank!! I'M GLAD I BUY WATER ...

My stay here was great, the only complaint that I have is the Hilton apparently doesn't have but 2 washer machines and 2 dryers in the entire hotel which is insanity.

I enjoyed staying at Homewood at Durham-Chapel Hill very much. The suite was large, very clean and extremely comfortable. The staff with whom I interacted were professional, yet friendly and were very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel was very close to restaurants and an easy drive to the Triangle cities.

1. Door to suite allows extraordinary amount of light and noise through gap, disturbing sleep.
2. Bathroom sink quickly backs up and is slow to drain.
3. Bathroom door does not close securely.
4. Bathroom tub quickly backs up and is slow to drain.
5. Bathroom tub drips loudly, disturbing sleep.
6. Privacy doors to bedroom do not close.
7. Several lights do not work.
8. Stains on pull out sofa bed mattress cover.
9. Carpet is dirty and spongy.
10. Kitchen counters have caked on dirt.
11. Unknown why an electrical circuit box is accessible within the suite?
12. We all felt irritation in our sinuses and throats which I can only guess is due to HVAC in need of cleaning.
13. Wire shelving in closet has caked on greasy dirt. Uncertain if this is from cooking in the suite or prior smoking, either way appears they have not been wiped down in quite a long time.

Stayed here whilst travelling for work. It was very convenient. Restaurants close by, easy to park and the hotel was clean and well looked after.

The Property was unable to hold up there end of the reservation. Drove 7 hours and was on a tight timeline to meet family for dinner then attend our event after. We were in a hurry to get ready and 10 minutes before arrival I get a call saying that the hotel does not have a two bed bedroom available and all you all have is a King Bed left. We are two older gentlemen with back problems and using a pull out couch which is acceptable for kids, NOT ADULTS was the only available room. Then come to find out I was charged on my Credit card an UPGRADE. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and very FRUSTRATING that I even had to call AGAIN to remove the charge! The front desk lady was not accommodating and I asked if you all had 2 rooms available, her excuse was they were not ready yet. So she put us regardless in a room with a pull out sofa and had the edacity to charge us more! What kind of business is this. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will NEVER STAY in your hotel chain again, and have been a frequent user iof the hotel chain in the past!

Needs updates. Not very tidy in places. Pretty average.

This place is amazing. We booked a long term stay with them and the staff was very friendly, easy to accommodate any needs. It was clean and they offer a free breakfast every morning.
4.5
The only problem I have is I reserved two rooms with double beds. The day I was traveling there they had only one room with double bed. They said they try to contact me to let me know about that but they could not. I never heard from them even wI talked to them s couple of days before my trip and they never mentioned anything about that. They were all booked out and we had one king bed for the 4 of us. Other than that , the place is nice.
