Second stay in two weeks. Friendly staff. Excellent, copious food in Restanques. Relaxing surroundings with great views. Family room (accept) had super sea views. Saturday breakfasts can be busy with the odd slip up such as cold scrambled eggs.

Impressive surroundings and classic hotel design.
Shame there’s no water in the room, or fridge.
More care should be taken of room upkeep - tissue container empty and toilet seat not attached. Quite dangerous.
Staff are delightful.

The resort was efficiently rum, very clean and well maintained, had an excellent air conditioner and the staff was equally as outstanding! Really enjoyed our stay.

Check in was one hour late, pool was overcrowded due to check-out guest was still there, which the pool security guy stated was normal (no system), but we got no sun chairs so we could not use the pool during our stay, so we ate at the resturant, it was hefty overpriced and barley eatable. The staff was lazy. The hotel is in great need of an upgrade. Just avoid this hotel, you are going to be disappointed.

The hotel is in a great location, with ample parking. It is getting old and tired now.

It was good stay. Friendly personnel ready to help with everything but need slight mprovement with English language.
This is an old facility and needs to get little bit of modern touch such as usb and usb-c outlets.
Hooks and shelves in the toilets needs to be better maintained and attached properly. The internal doors in apartment were not aligned properly on the hinges so could not get closed properly as well as locks on the doors.

Our apartment room was very comfortable and convenient for our family. We loved the view from the balcony.
With a comprehensive well maintenance for all areas, Le Fregate can easily reach higher level.

The lack of WIFI, we were told since day one that they were working on it only to find out by a staff member that no one was actualy working on it since it has always been like these and was a known issue from management.
The hotel is old and in need of serious maintenance.

This is NOT a 4 stars hotel. Perhaps, a 3 stars. Overpriced, this hotel looks more like a tourist trap than a golf resort hotel. Example : the buffet breakfast. Overpriced ! Automatic coffee machine, automatic juice machine, not even the famous french baguette ! Just some piece of bread (the same used at the restaurant) and some pastries. Some low-end cold cuts, and various fruits. yes, there is a station to make eggs on demand, when there is someone. But all this does not justify the ridiculous high price of breakfast, as expensive as in an Intercontinental hotel, 5 stars. The rooms are worn and not renovated, the wifi works more or less well, depending on the position of your room. And the unfriendliness of the reception staff does not help to feel comfortable.

Wonderful staff of both hotel and restaurant. Beautiful rooms with lovely views. Love that there are refrigerators in the rooms!!

We stayed for two nights intended as a relaxing weekend with use of the spa. Overall the hotel was nice, set in amazing grounds with a vineyard next door. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. We had unintentionally booked a room in the Bastides are of the complex which is a separate annex about 5 minute walk from the main hotel. This wasn’t clear when making the booking through hotels.com. We had an issue with the radiator in the bathroom, and due to it being in a separate annex the bathroom was freezing. After maintenance trying to fix the radiator and not being able to, We asked to be moved rooms. By this time we’d already waited around an hour of our Friday night so requested an upgrade. Unfortunately the manager wasn’t available so the helpful receptionist said they could move us but it would be subject to a fee, but if we spoke to the manager the next day they may be able to remove this. We didn’t get a chance to speak to the manager as apparently they were only in on Saturday day so we ended up having to pay the fee. The new room was probably worth it but would have expected better customer service if I’m honest. Especially considering the room was free I think the charge was unnecessary as we didn’t move into the new room until late Friday evening. Other than that, spa was nice, swimming pools well designed. I believe one restaurant was closed and the hotel could do with another bar area. we didn’t use these facilities as beautiful towns in area

Spent two nights here. The bedroom was very large and comfortable.Reception staff were polite and friendly. The service at the sports bar was very slow. The indoor pool could do with a facelift and somebody to clear the dirty towels left lying around.Despite these few niggles it is a lovely hotel and we would stay here again.

I always look forward to playing the golf course each summer when I am in France. The course layout is excellent, though the bunkers are terrible unfortunately, other than that the condition is AAA+. The hotel room was excellent, i had a great view over the pool and 18th hole, towards the ocean. Awesome. The food was very good, service was friendly although a little flustered at times. Will be back this weekend to play 2 more rounds.

Hotel is good but the rooms are getting a little tired. Service very friendly and nice. Poor availability of food in the bar area. Breakfast a little limited. The location makes up for everything though. Stunning!

Bandol is upmarket. Like almost all towns on the Riviera, it is centred around its marina. The main street is lined with cafes, from executive to above average. Over, or around the hill, is its clean beach which curves a calm warm bay. The town (almost) competes with St Tropez (about 1 1/2 hour's drive north-east) for class (size of yacht) and expense of purchases. But Bandol is not so pretentious.
The towns on either side (Sanary-Sur-Mer and Saint-Cyr-Mer) are similar to Bandol, but less pricy - good places something to eat. Cyr-Sur-Mer's beach is at Les Lecques. It stretches for miles, with rolling waves. Perched villages sit in the hills behind. The area is unmistakably French, off the tourist run from St. Maxime to Monaco.
Dolce Fregate is a classy golf resort. The complex is idyllic. Circled by villas for rent, the large, well maintained pool over three levels is an oasis of tranquility.
The resort is about half way between Bandol and Cyr-Sur-Mer (each about 3 miles away). An amazing coastal path is nearby. Otherwise, car hire is a must if you want to go outside the resort.
The rooms are clean and well sized, but need a little refurbishment. Their balconies look over the pool (though are far enough away that noise is not a problem) and on over the countryside to the sea - picturesque.
Critisism - bar service is slow and unorganised. The food and drink is over-priced.
Holidaying at Dolce Fregate is superb, as long as you have cash and eat out...

I haven't taken many vacations were I didn't want to leave, but this was one place I could have stayed for a very long time. The grounds were beautiful, veiw amazing, and room was so Italian Cute. I felt I was in a movie with the view out the window and the room a fun little italian, southern france villa type room. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel because it is very expensive. However the small frig in the room was prefect for fun breakfast treats from the local grocery store and the the terrance with the view in the morning was priceless. Absolutely worth the money.

6th trip back to this hotel so explains a lot! Hotel has undergone big facelift so has feel of a classy hotel in its own Provencal village. Facilities excellent - unbeatable golf, beautiful vistas, pools in nice surroundings. Real place to relax. Warning - "suite resorts" are a LONG walk from the reception, several elevators or stairs. Although have kitchenette comes with no equipment so a waste of space BIG gripe - restaurant service apauling, staff not able to cope once a few tables are occupied. You are left without menus, you can wait an age for an apperitif which comes after your starter course if you are unlucky. After waiting nearly an hour for a bill one night we gave up and walked out, some people gave up in disgust and never got to eat. Don't ask for anything out of the ordinary - it is just to much for them. Check the bill, there is a high chance it is wrong, especially if you have kids as they charge for the adult menu even if they have the kids buffet. All the head waiter does is waft around waving his arms - totally out of control of his waiting staff who seem to be a bunch of students - this is supposed to be a high end place. Bar service is similar - you can sit for ages with no service, you have to flag someone down before anything materialises.

we loved this hotel - helpful, friendly staff, beautiful sttting and grounds. would be even better in season i'm sure (we were there in January)

Pleasant hotel in a pretty location - but too far from any village to walk there so mostly reliant on what's on offer at the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful but the organisation of breakfast and rooms on arrival meant lengthy waits. For those who don't want to play golf there are attractions half an hour to an hour away, but the coastal towns were very difficult to get into because of queuing traffic and insufficient parking.

Food/presentation was excellent. All staff were very friendly and spoke enough english for us to have a great stay. Vineyards and winery on the sight and a golf course. Easy access into the two towns within 5 minutes. Easy to find as the signage was easy to read.

This hotel is a real gem. The location and view are stunning. It is loccated on a hill in a very nice envirnoment with spectaluar views of the ocean and the rooms and service are excellent. Just 5 minutes from the town of Bandol and about 1 1/2 hour drive from major cities worth seeing in the Provence, like Aix, Avignon and Apt the location is very convenient

My wife and I are traveling Europe for 6 months and have stayed at hotels all over Europe. This one was one of the best so far. The service was excellent and hotel was very clean. It had wonderful french country charm. Our room was great as well. There was a little balcony that overlooked one of the holes on the golf course. The indoor pool was nice and the workout facility had enough for a good workout. My only complaint is that the rooms was a bit dark a night. I had to take off the lampshade to get enough light to see well. Also, the hotel isn't very close to anything besides the golf course. We didn't have a car so it was a pretty expensive taxi ride to the hotel. There is a bus that stops about 10 minutes (by foot) away, but it only comes a few times a day.

My wife and I are traveling Europe for 6 months and have stayed at hotels all over Europe. This was definitely one of the better ones. The service was very good and hotel was clean and a good representation of it's location (Southern France on a Vineyard and a golf course). The rooms were great. They were two levels with small balcony. The decor was very nice, but the room was poorly lit. I had to take the lamp shades off for better light. The lobby was pretty nice as were the indoor pool and workout facility. The food was expensive as was the Internet. The location is remote so either visit with a car or be prepared for expensive taxi rides to nearby towns or a 5 minute walk to a bus stop where the bus only comes every few hours and stops running by dusk. We didn't play golf because of the excessive wind but our room overlooked one of the wholes. The course seemed to be of pretty good quality, though we could only see one hole. If you're looking for French charm, and relaxation this is a good choice.
