We received some of the best service from any resort hotel that we have stayed in, which we have experienced a countless amount of hotel and resort services. The entire state was so relaxing and the amenities were top-notch and very convenient! We will be back!

Everything about this reaort is Everything. The staff was very helpful. The amenities and hospitality is outstanding. This location is near Everything that we wanted to do. Definitely will stay here again. Book now you won't be disappointed.

Rooms is dingy, needs upgrades and cleaning. The ocean restaurant is completely closed and that created an eye sore as well as an inconvenience. We were not informed the restaurant was demolished and the area fenced

The stay was pretty good the first night we came back to the room and our door batteries were dead and had to wait to get in that was a hassle Every time we went to our room the hallway smelled like marijuana the second day it smelled so bad we could smell it in our room I complained they said they were going to investigate but I never saw anyone come up to investigate

This hotel is central to many key areas and well situated. It is clean, quiet, safe and secure. The staff go out of their way to help you feel at home. Internet is stable. The food at the poolside was fun. You have to try the chicken wings and Tamarind drink. The lobby had a nice aroma to it.

The hotel was beautiful, but the first room I checked into had a food tray sitting on the refrigerator. I was then moved to another room on the same floor and it was cleaner, I removed the pillow to sit o the chair and found a room key hold from the previous day. That made me question the cleanliness of the room, so I cleaned the room myself.

The Royal Sonesta is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff throughout. The pool area is clean with nice chairs and umbrellas and great swim up bar. The hot tub is huge and clean as well. Inside, everything is sparkling and looks like it has been recently redecorated. Our room looked out over the pool to the ocean, giving us nice sunset viewing, a comfortable bed and sitting area. One thing I think they could do better is get a handle on the humidity inside the rooms. While everywhere was well air-conditioned and clean, our room had a slightly damp musty smell and probably needed an industrial dehumidifier for a day or two. I know you can't control humidity on a tropical island but nothing would dry in the room, even in over 24 hours.

Sadly a mixed review. It’s the second time I’ve stayed there. I love the property, I love the amenities. The location is perfect, and it is beach front. It’s a great adult party hotel. Located with many restaurants and near car rental and airport. But my issue was the first couple of days we encountered a problem with the shower. We called several times , but it didn’t get fixed. So the staff was kind enough to upgrade and move us to a different room. And offered us a free breakfast. Not what we expected , but appreciated. The problem with the second room though is that we encountered bed bugs. I got bitten all over, legs ,chest,back arms and back. . I did approach the front desk about it and they did take pictures. They offered to comp my room, but I haven’t heard back. Anyway these bites are still on my body, itching and oozing blood and pus. I can’t stand it. I was conflicted in doing this review, because I like everything about the place. I just don’t like the end result .

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English which was very helpful. Javier was amazing and he gave great recommendations for dining. The food at the hotel restaurant was great and Manuel was top notch as far as service goes. Whatever he makes it should be doubled! The pool and beach were amazing Overall, our stay was one for the books. I wish I could give this hotel a million stars!

Although the property is nice and lovely, it's not worth the $400 daily rate. Rooms are simple like every other place. Food is basic like everywhere else. I wanted to get massage but at 500 for hour, I'll pass. Nice place but I wouldn't be booking there anytime soon.

Right on the beach! With a huge pool and a swim up bar. All the restaurants had delicious food with reasonable prices. Great location in Isla verde. Room was well appointed. Definitely returning!

Stunning ocean view, definitely the highlight of the stay. However consider the 500 per night rate, this hotel is overpriced and overrated. Only one restaurant provides dinner so the options were quite limited. The room was clean but had a smell of musty which might caused by humidity. Zero hangers in the closet and the tiolet flush button was broken...

We absolutely loved our stay! Resorts food and drinks are a little pricey but that is expected. Beautiful view of the ocean. Didn’t go to the pool but it was nice. Beach area was nice, clean and relaxing.
