We checked into the hotel on the 10th and scheduled to check out on the morning of the 13th. We were in town for a wedding with our two kids.
Upon checking in we were upgraded to a suite by the lovely staff as our room was not ready. Unfortunately upon getting to the room at roughly 10pm the heat never came on and the suite stayed at a rather chilly 63 degrees after the heating unit went out on the roof.
We informed the front desk on the morning of the 11th and around 8pm on the 11th the hotel maintenance team showed up and fixed the heating unit on the roof. We also notified the front desk that during the day we lost water and that there were no trash cans in our hotel room, anywhere. We were told that there weren’t trash cans available cause the hotel is going under renovations. There was no running water to the suite to flush toilets or for running water to get cleaned up.
Due to the staff not being able to fix this issue we resorted to having to go to a friends house to shower and get cleaned up. Water was finally fixed the evening before we left.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would stay there agin but I will comment on things that needed improving... I did not realize how far away from the strip the hotel was and incurred 400.00 in uber fees but this is no fault of the hotel. Additionally, we were misinformed though that there was a shuttle from the hotel to the strip. We arrived late on Friday evening having traveled from South Florida. I thought it was impersonal and exhausting to drag our luggage from the hotel lobby all the way to the Palms tower on our own. A bellman or cart would have been helpful. On several occasions we asked concierge or front desk attendants about various hotel accommodations (one being about the pool, one about rampart card, and one about drinks) and the answers were brief and somewhat unfriendly. Lastly, I asked for housekeeping service on the Saturday of our first full day and was told we may have missed the time
(which we did) but then our room was not cleaned on Sunday either. Our towels had been refreshed upon request but our dirty towels had been piling up in the bathroom for three nights and our beds were never made. I am a Bonvoy member and always try to stay at a participating Marriot property.

A really lovely resort hotel. We had a large, first floor room that was clean and well appointed with a patio. The staff was universally friendly and helpful. Restaurants were ok. It is an approximately 20 minute ride to the strip (+\- $30 Uber ride).

The hotel property is expensive and requires you to pay an additional resort fee. From the photos it looks like a posh resort so price and description suggests its worth the price. However, when we went to the pool, the bar was all but closed down and no promised food service by the pool, the hot tubs was not working and the cushions on chairs were stained, torn and looked as old as the hotel. The food at the resort was extremely underwhelming but to go offsite required you organizing transportation. No concierge services. In summary, expensive, no wow, no services, no shows, old & tired feeling and way out of the way from everything Vegas is known for.

It was perfect for what we needed. I love that you can avoid the casino completely and it is quiet. Will definitely come back.

Love JW in Summerlin. Whenever we go to Vegas we stay here. I don’t gamble so I love that this is more resort than casino

I think the JW Marriott was a let down for me especially when me and my boyfriend traveled to Las Vegas for my birthday to be told 2 hours before check in that they had canceled 😞 our room it was devastating to hear, I have always stayed at Marriott, this was very emotional and stressful I reached out to have manager to give me a call, no response and have been back home since Wednesday,

Our reservation was cancelled an hour before we arrived. We booked this hotel months in advance for a family reunion and couldn’t be with our family. We were moved to a less than adequate hotel with a promise of conjoining rooms and a gym, we got neither

When booking this property, the hotel is definitely outdated to the pictures you show on your website. Also, the hotel started a renovation in which many parts are not usable, would have been nice to know this was happening when booking.

Fun trip with family. Hotel having construction made it a little loud. Front desk staff customer service could have been better!

We had a great stay at the JW Marriott. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. We were treated with care. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I liked that it was away from the chaos of the strip. Gorgeous views and definitely will be staying there again.

Big Property. Quiet. Comfortable. Need food & bev closer to rooms than the 10 minute + walk it takes to get a bottle of water or soda.
Aside from that...A+ experience!

We were in the Palms Tower which is in desperate need of a renovation. The bed linens where falling apart, the light bulbs in the hallway and bathroom if our room flickered the entire time. Housekeeping showed up at 8am and we asked them to come back as we had just gotten up. We had to ask another 3 times for Housekeeping to come and they finally came at 7:30pm. The cushions on the pool chaises looked very worn as were the beach towels they provided. Overall, very disappointed in the entire property and wouldn't stay there again

It has the excitement of Las Vegas, but you don’t have to deal with the crowdedness of the strip hotels

The facility is very dated with old mattresses. Needs a major refresh based on room rates.

We live in Arizona. It was the last leg of our trip from Northern California even though we have family in Las Vegas we decided to stay at the resort to enjoy all the amenities. The hotel room was very spacious and the jet bathtub and rain. Shower were a huge plus.

Great place to stay, especially if you’re driving to edc or the strip.

Cigarette smoke hits you the minute you walk into the hotel. There was no customer service/engagement from the front desk. Poor water pressure in the shower and toilets.
The pool was very nice except they were short on towels which resulted in making a call to the front desk about the poor customer service at the pool structure.

Staff wonderful. Pool and gardens are beautiful. Rooms are large and well furnished. Restaurants and casino are just average.
