The power was cut by PG&E for a period of time without any pre-warning during our stay. This was known but the hotel didn't let guests know in advance. Not sure why.

With COVID things are a little different here and not as quaint as before. The room was still comfortable and perfect for a weekend getaway. Grounds were still nice to walk around in. The breakfast was good however, serving coffee in paper cups and then not offering more coffee left a bit to be desired for the price point. We had to ask for more coffee and then only received enough for a half a cup each! Coffee is cheap and should have been in regular cups like the meal and should have been more available as there was no where close to the place to get coffee.

This is a wonderful place for a getaway, the staff helped with a good wine selection. The staff also helped with good selections for winetasting and dining in the area. However, I think it is odd no one from the hotel was present providing service after 5 pm. We could only get ice from the front desk, because of Covid, but no one was at the front desk after 5 pm. So, you can't get ice for your champagne after 5 pm? The room was spectacular with lush bedding, but there was not any coffee in the rooms. The breakfast was tasty. I am sure this would be a fabulous place to visit after covid.

The property had just recently reopened after the Covid-19 closure. The room was clean and properly disinfected. The property staff was doing a good job trying to maintain safety standards. The room size and location were outstanding. The decor could use upgrading but overall a very pleasant stay.

Very lovely property. I stayed in a room in the carriage house and it was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very nice and the food provided for breakfast was very good. There are good views of different vineyards. I didnt have a car and walked to downtown Healdsburg in 20 minutes. Lyft rides around the area were not expensive. I would love to come back to Madrona Manor in the future.

Lovely historic property in a beautiful garden setting. Well maintained and comfortable. We stayed in the Carriage House on the second floor. Breakfast was simple, but very good. Staff was very responsive. One caution: if you want to sleep late and are sensitive to sunlight, you may want to bring a sleep mask (no blackout drapes and one small window had no window covering of any kind). All in all, we totally enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Beautiful facility with a friendly, supportive staff. The grounds are planted with gorgeous flowers and plants. There is a small vineyard and vegetable garden that the award winning chef uses in the kitchen. Drinks on the large front porch are a must where you look down on a large vineyard and the mountains. Very relaxing and an easy drive or walk into Healdsburg.

This is our first but not last stay at the Medrona. Be aware that this is a bed & breakfast style hotel. Very laid back. But it is only a 3 minute uber to downtown Healdsburg. The town itself also wraps up pretty early. It is in the heart of most of the wineries. We stayed in the house that is separate with 8 rooms--4 upstairs and 4 downstairs. Our room had a large terrace overlooking the property. Wonderful way to spend late afternoon after visiting wineries! Highly recommend.

Let me preface my review by stating that I am well-travelled so my expectations are higher. The grounds were lovely. However impersonal service. We were on our own finding our way to room. Small tight tub with glass shower doors that you might find in your first apartment. Sink with zero counter space. Toiletries on floor and curling irons layed in sink. Only one window had a screen so no outside breeze. Blinds let light in so had to cover window with stacked pillows and a robe. Bed was super firm. No minibar or welcome half bottle of wine as you might expect from a $400 per night stay. Two oatmeal cookies were provided though. Mine had a fly trapped inside still flying around. Breakfast buffet is very average. This place has so much potential to be so much better. I feel bad but am speaking the truth. We stayed in #511 I think carriage house. Hotel is close to downtown.
