We got there and the front desk rep was on his cell phone for around 7 minutes until I asked him if we could check in. He gave us keys to a room that was completely undone and dirty so he came upstairs and gave us keys to another bedroom. The elevator was out of service so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs that were creeping quite a bit. The whole property was in disrepair with peeling paint and not upkept. The mattress was hard. The new room was relatively clean.

On the bright side, we appreciated that the staff allowed us to check into our room early, which was convenient after a long trip.
The elevator was broken for the entire duration of our stay, which made it especially inconvenient since we were staying on one of the upper floors. The hotel also advertised breakfast as included, but this turned out to be limited to packaged pastries—hardly what we expected.
To make matters worse, there’s a nightclub located in the hotel that played loud music all night. The noise was so loud that it made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep.
While the location and early check-in were helpful, the lack of basic amenities, subpar breakfast, and constant noise made this stay far less enjoyable than it should have been.

Quite literally the worst place ever. I swear I body was murdered in this hotel/room. The windows and walls are paper thin. There’s a club literally next to the hotel so you can hear drunk people screaming and coming out the bar, waking you up at 1-3am. Sirens going on all night. Expect to get no sleep. The worst parking lot if you can even call it that ever.

Smelled like pot smoke . Elevator broken. Really nasty location

This facility was unkept, unclean and unfriendly. It did not offer an elevator (out of service), one of us was handicapped with no offer to accomodate the 30+ stairs that sound as if they were going to collapse. They did not publicize that it had a nightclub under the rooms. It propped open firedoors and in the daylight it looked as if something exploded on the walls of our room. There was a sign above the front desk that said 24 desk. No one answered when I called @ 10pm to get additional pillows no one was there. There were not enough washclothes and no tissues.
There were homeless people on the side of the building and I issued concern and was told "they are harmless". The front windows were tagged with graffiti, the "breakfast" was pastries from costco. I was very disappointed with this facility. I would not give it even 2 stars. What's more, I can't believe Wyndham has it's name associated with it.

Disappointing breakfast - squashed pastries in plastic. Chose this place for the convenience of breakfast at that location.

Traveling with my wife and 6 month old child, we arrived at this run down hotel and discovered the elevator was not working. The attendant then said we had a room on the fourth floor and refused to put us on a lower floor. I explained we had a baby and all the extra baggage, but they refused to change the room or offer a discount. The room was dirty and we saw several cockroaches, we will not be back.

I mean it’s a super8 motel. What do you expect. Bring a candle, and sheets. You’ll live.

We had to change the room twice.
Every room we got was missing some items like towels, hair dryer. One room had water clogging issue. Another room had mattress issue. Finally we got one room which had all items needed in the room.

The photos definitely show better than the the actual condition of the property. We stayed there for 6 days, as it was convenient to friends in the area and attractions Universal studios and Hollywood Blvd. The immediate area had an over abundance of drug users and there’s a nightclub in the same building that gets really loud after midnight from Thursday to Saturday night. I found the room dated but spacious, as a person with a disability I found it extremely difficult to climb the 3 floors to my room one night when the elevator broke down. The desk staff did the bare minimum in fact one gentleman was asleep at the desk when we came in at 10:30pm. The breakfast is a pass only decent thing was the orange juice, but there’s a place called Norms 2 blocks north open 24 hours that serves excellent food.

Breakfast entitled of toast and butter only, no milk for coffee. If you love Breakfast. This place is not for you!!!!
I had to request 3 times for my room to be cleaned. And the cleaning was not good.

This hotel should be torn down. A motel-6 would be a 5 start compared to this old worn out building. The hotel chain offering this crappy hotel will never get any of my business again.

The ice machine had black nasty crud on the inside of the ice chute so couldn’t get any ice because I didn’t want to get sick. The one vending machine they had was empty and wasn’t refilled. The shower stopper was caked with hard water residue so I couldn’t put the stopper down . The whole shower faucet was loose along with the toilet running if you didn’t jiggle the handle. Breakfast is just toast and prepackaged danishes so nothing special there. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Check in went well, but that was about it. The first room we stayed in appeared clean. Surface areas clean, bathroom walls had what appeared to be toothpaste splatters on the walls around the sink. The floor looked clean but when bare foot could feel and see dirt. Went to get ice from the machine and there was black mold all over the dispenser. The soda/water machine was empty, I asked when it would be filled and the guy said "I don't think it will be.
We asked for a room change due to being across from the elevator and it being noisy. The second room was worse. Toilet was loose, A/C unit clogged with years of mold and crap. Asked for another hair dryer because the one in the room was sparking and smelled like it was melting. The second shift person said he would get us one and never did and never passed it on to the day shift person. The drawer front fell off as I opened it to put my clothes in. I dropped my charger as I was plugging it in at the head of the bed and was discussed by all the nastiness as I retrieved it.
No where in it's advertisement did it say there was a Lesbian bar in the basement Thursday-Saturday night playing excessively loud music until 2AM. I took pictures of many things wrong with this place and would like to share them. There are many things I didn't take pictures of. NO ONE should stay here with children! Hookers out side the front door and many homeless people around. We didn't feel safe! I'd like a refund.

This place is not clean. Everything seems dirty. And it is super noisy during night time, which made you not able to fall asleep.

I asked for a handicap friendly room. I had to sleep on the first bed because I could walk around the room with my walker.
The shower had no hand rails or bench and the shower door would not stay open to allow me to get in.
NONE ofthe rooms offered secure locks!
I parked in a handicap space ans some idiot parked in the marked off area for easy access to your car. The spaces are so close, i had a hard time getting out of that space. Sorry I was so upset I didn't take any pictures!!

The location in regards to Universal was good and the price was reasonable. The parking lot was challenging. There were generally mentally ill homeless individuals in the parking lot which made us feel unsafe. The room had a few roaches and the TV did not work. The coffee maker did not work.

The location of the hotel was close to the subway but there were a lot of homeless and junkies around which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe as I was with my daughter.

This hotel is close to our son's house, so that's a win. It's in a slightly seedy neighborhood -- a few homeless around, though we walked past them to Target every night without problem. Target, CVS, and Walgreen's were in easy walking distance. My husband said our hotel staff got out every morning and cleaned up whatever had been thrown out or messed up on the sidewalk -- very thoughtful. We also didn't expect them to make up our room every day, but they did. The property is old, but our room was spacious with a terrific large bathroom. Our curtain's blackout curtain was half torn away (leaving just the ordinary curtain, so no one could see in), but otherwise it was a nice room. There IS a parking lot, despite what Expedia said. The desk clerk has a security cam on the parking lot, which was nice.

It was an incredibly shady place; my daughter heard loud banging on her door around 4:10AM and saw two guys outside the room shouting: “OPEN UP”, and they were surely not guests in the hotel. When I informed the receptionist (a guy who was on duty on July 7, 2024 from 8am until the night), he dismissively had said that what happened was fine. He was persistent on immediately hanging up the call, without even checking the security cameras or if the situation was dealt with, and was safe.

It was horrible. There was a club diectly next to us, the music was so loud until 2 AM and the parking was terrible. The shower did not drain good so the shower would get full of water when you showered. We will not stay there again.

It would've been nice to know there was a nightclub underneath my room with 3 small children.
