4 day trip to Saigon we decided to stay and this naturist hotel.
The location is ideal, central and within walking distance for shops, bars, restaurants, shopping, tour bus etc.
The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings. The furniture is of old style, but in good condition. In keeping with the building itself. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the hotel.
Breakfast others an big selection of buffet or cooked options, catering for western and Asian taste.
The area outside is busy with traffic, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet.

Everything was as expected except noise from outside. I was unable to sleep before midnight due to continuous noise and loud voices from outside. This hotel is recommendable for those travellers who like noise in the night.

I love this Hotel. I always feel special. The rooms are spacious, staff always helpful and the breakfast delicious. It is also in a very central location and its history makes it interesting.

Old colonial hotel in the heart of Saigon. Bedrooms are large, very clean and a delicious breakfast is served in the courtyard every morning. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

During our family trip, we stayed at Continental at 3 different times because hotel staff treated us like a family. The manager, Ms. Xương was welcoming and accommodating. She chose the best rooms for our family. Hotel staff from bell boys, concierge, porters, receptionists, waiters/waitresses, room attendants … went beyond duty to make us feel like home. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with different cuisines, fresh fruits, homemade yogurt, pho, banh mì thịt, congee, cheese, beef stew … (too many to name). Location of the hotel is unbeatable, right next to the Grand Nhà Hát, within walking distance to shopping centers, high end shops, Chợ Bến Thành…
Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Excellent central district 1 location, with historical vibe.
Staff very helpful and responsive.
Good Buffet breakfast
My garden room was clean and certainly satisfactory for my needs, however some may consider the amenities in the room “ spartan.” They were perfectly satisfactory for me.

The staff are not service oriented. And cannot cater to Western tourists. Most staff don't understand English.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel has a long time flow and elegance.
I think this is a 5-star hotel for those who can enjoy the historical atmosphere of the hotel, even if there are some small problems with the facilities etc.

I’ve stayed here before and it didn’t disappoint again! Located very centrally for all of the tourist must-dos in Ho Chi Minh City! The hotel itself also had so much history surrounding it so it’s definitely worth staying here! Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

I think this was a wonderful place to stay; however I was a bit upset with pricing as they did not recognize my price I got off the web site - besides that minor thing I would stay here again!!

We booked this on Expedia and paid in full. Our plans changed and we arrived a day late. We worked with Expedia within the cancellation time, but the hotel refused to give us a refund for the night we were not there. Expedia tried several times. We were put in a room that had a window that overlooked an open air court yard. When breakfast started at 630 am the noise started, then they booked a wedding with DJ on our last night that was so loud it was impossible to sleep. They would not refund the room. At 5 am the next day a film crew arrived and set up for a filming that was also noisy. The room smelled old and damp. A repair person arrived in the middle of the day to replace a door knob on the closet, which could have waited until we left. Maybe it was in the contract, but the staff helped themselves during the breakfast buffet and we had to wait behind them. A staff member used the washroom for guests to do her make up in the morning. The location is good.

This hotel is a complete waste of money. It may be the oldest hotel in Saigon and from the exterior very beautiful but once you’re inside it’s very clear it hasn’t been updated in decades. We left after one night. Spoke to a few other people and apparently that’s a common theme. Be warned!

Nice colonial area building right smack dap in district 1 of Saigon. The al fresco breakfast with a choice of western and Vietnamese delights provides a great start to the day. Also you get a dragon fruit served to your room everyday, which is a nice touch.

Super nice hotel, very classic, efficient staff, impressive impression. They even provided complimentary fruit basket for the guests, which I had never experienced in other hotel in Vietnam I stayed. The bottled water is a plus, too because another hotel in HCMC only provided water in a jar that you don't know how old or what kind of water. When I had a problem with the safe, the staff handled it very quickly. Housekeeping also did a great job and made the room pleasant to stay. The breakfast had congee, variety of fruits, yogurts that I loved, and the dinning area is in open warm air rather than cold AC.

The reception lady with looked like ghost, unpresentable was so rude and unkind..how can you serve your guest with rudeness..apart from that, the hotel was beautiful and exceptional except the staff.

We had one night in this hotel and as we did not arrive until after midnight, we did not get to spend much time. We wanted to stay at the hotel because of its history and we were not disappointed. It is obviously a bit dated but the furniture is beautiful. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was great. The staff were polite and very helpful. It is expensive by Vietnam standards but we would definitely recommend it.

The Continental is a hotel that I stayed at for its history and flair; for the price one can have much better in Saigon, however it was a pleasant stay with friendly - albeit at times not very attentive staff, particularly in the Cafe. The room was clean and spacious and a little dated but fine. Check in was great, they could take us in a little earlier than official check in time of 14:00. Breakfast was (a good) average. Worth staying for the experience and central location.

I was traveling alone and stayed three nights in this iconic building! Ut is perfectly situated in the midst of district 1 and gives you easy to all the sights and restaurants in the area. Good service. The building is old and the rooms and decor somewhat dated but it also adds to the charm of the place. You are taking a little step back in history!

The style and character of the hotel, with its history, are just amazing. The room is spacious, clean and I adore its "old" design. The breakfasts were very good -I specially love the home made vietnamese yogurt. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful.
