The hotel itself really lacked on the room service & cleaning of our room. I’m used to my room being cleaned a certain number of times during a long stay (old towels being taken, trash being removed, beds being made) & that didn’t happen organically. Also, for the hotel to charge 22 dollars a night to park without it even being valet or a garage or even covered for that matter was a little ridiculous. The location was pretty but could’ve definitely got a hotel actually on a walkable beach for a comparable price.

A wonderful location with basically a private beach in front (walk across road) and lots of fun things nearby (Legoland, museums, and The Flower Fields). Jacuzzi was a great temperature which is the main reason my wife picks a hotel. Uniquely they have fun games available for free to play (ping pong, corn hole, darts, etc.). Service was top notch and friendly. I loved their buffet breakfast though my wife was disappointed in their continental breakfast not having the berries and greek yogurt as advertised (only Yoplait and Mellons).

Great location, outside of the busy downtown Carlsbad and directly across the highway from the beach. But upon arrival for check in, which is 3pm, we arrived at 4pm and our room wasn’t ready. They offered another room, but up charged us for it. Restaurant is convenient but limited on choices. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was a definite plus.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, despite paying $746.50 per night for what was supposed to be a "Deluxe Room, 2 Queen Beds, Ocean View." Having stayed in everywhere from Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons to budget motels like Motel 6, I can honestly say this hotel was worse than a Motel 6. First, the room was far from luxurious. The bathroom door was broken, and despite notifying the front desk, they failed to fix it during our stay. The "Ocean View" room we paid for was a disappointment—the windows were so dirty that we couldn’t even see outside, let alone enjoy the ocean view we expected.Soap holder broken, bathtub Drain Stopper was broken overall dirty hotel . To add to the frustration, the hotel had ongoing construction, which was not mentioned prior to booking. The bar’s draft beer machine was also broken, and the bartender was not only rushing but also had a very unwelcoming attitude. It was clear that the service, much like the room, lacked quality. After reporting all these issues, the only compensation offered was a meager $22 discount on overnight parking—insulting given the overall experience. Save your money and avoid this place. It’s nowhere near the quality you'd expect for the price, and you’ll likely leave frustrated as we did.

We did not get the room that we booked for. They said that they can get us roll away beds but we never received it. A couple of us had to sleep on the floor. Housekeeping never came to clean or replenish toilet paper, tissues, or towels. The property had very little amenities and the food was terrible.

The beds were hard. There was no working lock on the bathroom door. We ate at the Coast restaurant and the salmon was so bad we got sick. The pizza and kids’ food were good. Their bar made amazing cocktails. The staff made good suggestions on where we should go. My poor rating for this hotel is because for the price we paid (equivalent to Shutters on the Beach), we were expecting a certain level of comfort (bed and sheets) and dining experience. We opted not to eat their breakfast buffet as dinner the night before was not great food quality.

Overall, was a good stay. Main thing is it's location which is close to the ocean, to a surfing site. Can get gorgeous sunsets. Though does not have access to the beach but it's close enough if looking to get to the water. Rooms are pretty big and renovated, the beds very clean. A super small refrigerator was a bummer. A few other things could improve like they can provide a map to get to the rooms upon arrival. You get towels for the use at the pool at the reception which is also not convenient. The property and the pool could be cleaner.

My only complaint is with the room rates which are not cheap which I can accept compared to other hotels but I think charging for parking with the abundant amount of space I think it’s a little greedy! Beautiful property with ocean views. Walkable to the beach and only few minutes away from Carlsbad Village. I believe the pool was heated and my husband and I enjoyed the jacuzzi. We will consider booking this hotel in the future.

The hotel is amazing but the customer service at the front desk horrible! The restaurant was good but the front desk would stare at you till you talked first. The manager and staff never smile and talk crap about guests checking in asking for early accommodations. Luckily the location and hotel is amazing. The food was really good and affordable in the restaurant. I would get rid of all the front desk staff and start over with customer service training.

Thanks Andrew for being energetic, providing restaurant suggestions and making check in super easy and flawless. The following days of conversation with you and the other employee working with you made the stay and experience fun and a would come back. The restaurant at the location made the mornings or end of the day an easy choice to grab food and a drink and chill by the pool and courtyard.

The hotel is nice enough, but the beds need to be replaced. They creak and are not very supportive. The bathroom in the Disabled bath was wonderful and everything you could want. I've been coming here for 3 years now and the room felt like it could be upgraded and was looking a little old. The lobby and the eating areas are very nice. They have a good breakfast buffet or you can order a regular breakfast.

The ground has trash at the entrance of the door, old mattress outside and pool and spa not clean. The sheets had dirt and stains and the remote for the tv didn’t work that good. The staff was very nice, food and entertainment was good I like the hotel but need to clean a couple by of things

Hotel has a nice resort feel to it. Room was very spacious, bed was comfortable, lots of room in the bathroom. Our room had ocean view which was nice. Only complaint about the room was how the A/C vents are aimed across the bed and seating area. I also wish there was a love seat or couch instead of just a lounge seat with ottoman. Hotel is about 10 minutes from Legoland. Gas station and other amenities are much closer. We were charged $22/night for parking as well.
