Badet hadde trengt en skikkelig oppgradering.
Litt kjipt å måtte stå i kø for å bestille speilegg og bacon.

Lobby og restaurant topp stand. Rom litt slitne

Nice staff, very nice lobby, good breakfast

This hotel is at an excellent location for visiting the main street and highlights of the town. The restaurant Peder Hiort Mathus had good food and a good selection, so we went there twice.

Begynner å bli litt slitt og høylytt susing i radiatorrørene. Men gode senger, veldig bra frokost, og hyggelig betjening.

Nice hotel, fantastic staff. Well located near historic own centre - lots of restaurants within easy walking distance.

someone had smoked in the room?????

Hyggelig hotell. Rommet var litt slitt men OK.

Veldig slitt, overpriset.

Hyggelig opphold, men mye tull rundt frokost

Rommet ble ikke rengjort etter første overnatting.
De ansatte var veldig effektive men helt uten smil og vennlighet.

Jevnt over bra standard. Hadde rom i 4. etg. ut mot hovedveien. Mye trafikkstøy. Litt variabel service i resepsjonen, men bra fra to av tre vi ble betjent av.

very good breakfast. Kindly staff.Nice atmosphere.

Their Saturday evening buffet dinner (julebord) was out of this world for a meat/fish lover. I have never experienced anything like it for variety. I counted 60+ different meat/fish dishes. Made with love.
The lobby area is a great place, our room plain but nothing wrong with it.

This hotel is an institution in Roros. Its decoration is a bit tired, especially in the bedrooms, and these could do with a makeover, but it is run with enthusiasm and passion, especially where the food is concerned. It sits right on the main street, so can be a little noisy. Just round the corner lies the Unesco heritage town, with streets of old houses, interesting quality shops, and the mining museum which explains the history of the town, and all about the copper mining which is the reason it grew. We ate the buffet dinner and breakfast, everything was carefully labelled so that you knew which foods were local (a lot). There were staff on hand to explain the food if you were interested.

Based on the mixed reviews, we had decided to take an optimistic view but were disappointed with this hotel on several levels. We had asked in advance for a quiet room with good light and, ideally, a nice view. We were given room 203, which faces a solid wood wall that is about 10 feet away - so it was dark with no light and no view. The floor was covered with a dark carpet that was dirty and had several obvious stains - way past time for replacement. (The carpet in the elevator was even more filthy and looked like a health hazard.) The room was so small that I had to squeeze past the foot of the bed by walking sideways. The bathroom had mold showing in the grout. The toilet paper dispenser was of the industrial variety, with the next roll ready to roll down as soon as you finish the bottom one. We had a reasonably good sleep once people stopped walking the streets since we were in the back of hotel and had little street noise, even though we had to leave the window open because it was hot outside and there is no a/c. The pillows were foam and too hard for my taste and we were only given two pillows - one for each of us - which is one less that we prefer (and would have made it difficult to watch TV in bed, but that wasnt an option since the TV is not watchable from bed). The lobby is big, but not a comfortable - furnished with old, oversized leather furniture yet feeling very industrial. So, we tried to be outside the hotel as much as we could since we didnt want to be in

Nice hotel in the middle of town. Good prices and good food. A bit noisy at night.

My cousin in Rorus said this hotel was "old and tired" when I told her where we were staying, but my daughters and I were pleased with it. The staff is great, the rooms were clean, the food in the restaurant was very good, and the old section of town was just a block away so very easy to walk to and visit. The location is great. I would stay there again.

The room was clean, and equipped with the most comfortable bed. There were hot & cold choices for breakfast, and a good location to the museum & tourist information centre.

Later checkout at 2pm on a Sunday is an excellent service.

Staff was very friendly !! Bathroom can get very wet !! Need a drain under the shower head. Overall great stay !!

Wanted hotel with good location and close to train station. Short stay with early departure next morning.
3.8
Only spent one night. Mattress too soft for our backs, bathroom floor cold. Otherwise, perfectly adequate for a short stay.

Ok but not great. A bad smell in elevator and hallway. Girl at desk not very happy or servicemined. Same the next morning. A smile would help. Not very many hotels in Røros so would stay there again cause its in the centre not because of service.
