The entrance was beautiful. Modern. Clean. The room was much older in comparison. It had a terrible smell and a damp feel. I would not stay here again.

The Metropolitan Hotel was a great oasis for our trip to Delhi. Every need was accommodated. The breakfast was a lovely large buffet with many Indian and western choices. The room was very comfortable. I would stay again.

Will never use this hotel ever again due to some of the staff being not attentive and rude.
1. When we checked in, the reception guy that was dealing with us, got us to wait whilst attending another customer whom is currently staying at the hotel and attended to his query. These are all European or English people.
2. A few of the canteen staff were only attentive to the Europeans and didn’t care if we needed more coffee or drinks but table next to us got asked constantly.
3. We had to leave at 7am for a tour and ask the receptionist can we come in 15 minutes early to get a coffee and fruit before we left and he said he can’t do that, then asked him if they could pack something for us and he said no. 2 days later another couple got all they packed breakfast for their tour.
Have spoken to the manager and he seems nice and apologetic which was nice but never again this hotel and puts me off Delhi.

So as a lover of nature and someone who believes in sustainability - I was fairly unhappy as the windows of my room won’t open and there was no fan inside. The entire hotel was centrally air conditioned with little room for maneuver. I actually ended up staying at a friend’s eventually since I felt suffocated inside the whole time. I wonder if they leave the rooms shut during winter and rainy season too - I find that a colossal waste of resources. The staff told me it’s the regulations to keep windows sealed but not sure.
What I found appalling was the complete absence of women from the staff - not a single lady in the entire waiting or reception staff. On my brief stay, I also met another tourist who yelled racists slurs in the lobby in front of the entire staff and nobody did anything to contain that.
I feel the hotel runs only because of location but otherwise has little of value to add to the stay. I won’t recommend it at all.

Quick check in. Lovely welcome drink. Room upgraded. Lovely spacious rooms. Cleaning was exceptional. Big pool, working gym. Staff go out of their way to help you. Delicious breakfast with so many options. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Average hotel, room was fine although it was noisy from the adjacent road. Take ear plugs, it’s not well insulated, you can hear dogs barking and we were on the 8th floor. Housekeeping man super happy and friendly.
Gym/fitness area is poorly equipped, also has carpet flooring which was pretty gross, wasn’t clean. Had massages which were good. Had a swim in the pool which was fine but not a relaxing place to relax beside, but it is central Delhi. Breakfast decent.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of a colleague. The hotel is ok, a little old, but the room was in clean and in good condition. There were two drawbacks.
1. I could not get my PC to log onto the wifi no matter how I tried. The wifi system logon is a little cranky - not like other hotels now. My cellphone did log on but the PC did not.
2. The food and drink is too expensive - not good value for money.
Will not stay there again

Very clean property. Very helpful, polite and welcoming staff from security to doormen to front desk and cleaners. Cleaner Ashok and Waiter Gaurav and Chandran at Front desk were all outstanding, very polite, helpful and always with a smile.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Lovely swimming pool and spa area. Great breakfast and dinner buffets, nice bar area. All in all very good value for money and spacious rooms are comfortable and well equipped.

Nice room, but not very fency as expected from five stars. Breakfast is also nice but not special. Room is very clean, service is excellent and the location is good!

Average .staff not very cordial or service oriented. Cleanliness can be paid more attention to . Appliances need service . TV needs to be replaced with bigger screens . Breakfast service is poor . It starts very late - 7AM is the time but doesn’t start at 7 - takes few more minutes to actually works. So if you have to leave early - you would be left totally hungry . Very strict about water bottles too . Doesn’t provide more than 2 at all . Linen were probably not actually changed between different set of guests .

Property was fine. Mostly clean except so many dirty finger smudges on the bathroom mirror.
There were like 7 workers at the front door, but only a single worker at the reception counter. He answered an angry call while we were trying to check in and it took forever. He needed more help. It was the same at checkout- many employees standing around the front door, but only one at checkout counter. Again, it took too long.

I cannot recommend this place. I booked two rooms and both had major issues. One ac didn’t work and we were switched a few days later and the other had the most pungent mold smell which I think made us sick. They did come and clean the vents that improved it for a night but came back again. I just didn’t enjoy my stay at Delhi bc of this. It was bad enough that we checked out early and spent our last night at our family’s home.

My recent stay at The Metropolitan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who ensured a seamless check-in process. The room itself was immaculate, with modern decor and all the amenities one could ask for.
The dining options were equally impressive. Breakfast offered a wide array of delicious options to start the day, and the on-site restaurant served mouth-watering dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.
Kudos to the entire crew of the Metropolitan. 😊

Poorly maintained, ordered room service. The food quality and quantity both were terrible

Service and all service faculty .. they consider for me to check out late whenever is possible.. housekeeping , dining, front desk and their staff is totally praiseworthy.. no words can match their hospitality .. I walk to Guruduara Bangla sahib, market is walking distance and Janpath market and Connaught place is very close by .. hotel spa is good too. For me it’s a home away from home .. Thank you 👏👏

The most expensive place we stayed at in India, but it was still a decent value. Very comfortable and well run property that offers lots of services and a professional and courteous staff. The rooms and the building are not historic, but it is clean, efficient, relaxing, and inviting and the decor of the room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and unlike other places we stayed at, it was a true queen or king bed. (Some places like to push two twins together and call it a queen or king.) This is a hotel that caters to a more discerning customer. It was a good splurge for the end of our trip. The food from Sakura (one of the three in-hotel restaurants) was very good. We did not use the spa, but it looked like it was a well-run spa. My main quibble was that there was some construction noise from the building next door that strangely lasted intermittently through the night, but this is not something that the hotel has any control over. Perhaps this was because it was too hot to work during the day in the heat. The hotel offered to switch our room. We would definitely stay at the Metropolitan again. We might just ask if there is a room on the north side of the building rather than the south side if the construction is still going on. We appreciated that the Shivaji Stadium Metro stop on the Airport Express Line was just a short taxi ride away, so we were able to use this to get to the airport. Much cheaper than taking a taxi all the way to and from the airport.

Good hotel at reasonable price. Smiling staff and comfortable rooms. Good cleaning by Sunil and staff.

Had a great stay.
Staff all very friendly, especially to my 4yo. Room was lovely.
Pool beautiful and clean (main reason for staying). Most the time it was just us in it.
Breakfast was great, lots of options. Very much enjoyed the fresh egg station (fried, scrambled, omelettes). They even brought us Bananas when they were not on offer at breakfast. My 4yo was very happy with this.
Great location, easy to get taxi/Uber/tuk tuk from outside. And a 2 mins walk to restaurants and little shops and ATM.

The propertyis goid and in good location, but WIFI net was very bad, drops et every 3 to 5 min. Its configuration issues not hardware. Since i didnt complain to front desk i dont think its a serious issue.

Great location, hotel and staff. Their breakfast buffet can benefit from additional choices.

Location is only good thing about this. I could give better rating if they advertise this property as 3 star. Its 5 star but doesn’t file like one. Small and very outdated rooms. Mattress are in desperate need of replacement. Encountered a security risk and Kiosk at front desk caused by a stranger during my checkout time.

Very helpful staffs especially Mr Pankaj and Faisal. Pankaj provide us dinner on the house too.

Me and my sister stayed one night only. The room is smaller and they didn’t seem to have a good breakfast selection. The staff are helpful and the place seem clean

It is a very good hotel, close to CP and Bangla Sahib. The service was excellent. The restaurants have great options and superb food.

Hotel is a solid 3.5 star. Room was spacious, shower was amazing. Zero sound proofing in room, could hear everything. TV is very small and analogue channels. Location is convenient to Connaught Place, but there's really nothing in terms of retail or commercial facilities right outside the hotel - ie have to walk quite a bit or take 5 minute by transport to Connaught Place. Restaurant was OK and breakfast buffet had many options. All in all, a decent place but unsure I'd stay again.

The only complaint I have is that the free WiFi internet was capped at 1MB/s and choppy. I've stayed in far worse hotels which provided much faster Free Wifi internet service.
I the internet were faster I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Great hotel for our first time in New Delhi. Staff are excellent, accommodating, friendly and want to make your stay memorable. Used the pool and took advantage of the spa facilities. Minor point is that some aspects of the hotel could be refreshed like the seating in the bar, pool towels were clean but are close to needing replacement. These things are not as important to us as the incredible service provided by all areas of the hotel operations. They really made our stay special.
