This hotel is superb. Unbeatable location and fabulous rooms!
This hotel is located in the heart of Porto! Waking distance from all the main attractions. We were able to walk to all places.
The personnel is simply amazing. They gave us great recommendations for places to go and eat.
Everything from this hotel was great!
We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Porto!

Friendly staff, good breakfast spread, great location

Incredibly located on the riverfront, this is a splendid hotel. Since the area is pdestrian only you can't drive up to the entrance to drop off your bags but their staff happily meets you at your car and carries them for you. This is the kind of touch that gives them a "10" in my book. Lovely rooms, excellent service.

This hotel is centrally located so once you step out the front door, you are in the middle of it all. It was great to explore Porto with this as our home base. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was very nice.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the river. We had a 2 twin room with a balcony, spacious and very comfortable. Hotel staff was helpful and hotel was walking distance to many restaurants in the heart of the city.

The hotel was incredibly welcoming when we arrived, they offered us breakfast whilst they finished getting our room ready very early. The breakfast was fantastic with so much variety and a few hot things included too. We were then escorted to our room and our bags were brought up for us, the room was comfy and clean and attended daily.
The location is also ideal in Ribeira and near lots of restaurants and bars. As I walked around on holiday I didn’t see anywhere I would have rather stayed.
I did at one point ask at reception on any suggestions of places to visit or things to do and they weren’t able to suggest anything, which was disappointing. I do think this was just bad luck on who was at reception though as the people who checked us in had recommended a restaurant and seemed much more forthcoming.
The only actual issue we had was our 4am check out, despite booking our transfer and therefore knowing our departure time there was nobody at the reception, and the doors were of course locked at that hour. If I hadn’t managed to find the staff room by the bar and luckily knocked on the right door we could’ve been waiting and stressed and missed our transfer. We did get out fine and he was very polite and apologetic, I would just recommend planning breaks around expected departures in future.
Overall though one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, really pleasant to enter and walk around, ideal location, lovely staff, would definitely stay again or recommend to others.

The service was amazing!!!

My sister and I visited the hotel for a 3 night city break in September. The location of the hotel was fabulous right on the Douro. The building is beautiful and the interior very stylish. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and service generally excellent. Breakfast was great quality with a lot of choice.
Only a few minor grumbles on our stay. The coffee, tea, water etc was not replenished properly and I had to ring several times to ask for more. It would also have been nice to have some complimentary biscuits along with the tea and coffee. The hangers kept breaking so we didn’t have enough and they weren’t replaced. The Aperol spritz ordered from the bar was the worst I’ve ever had and so expensive!
Apart from that our stay was most enjoyable. Porto is a beautiful place and we very much enjoyed our time there.

The property is centrally located along the river in a very popular area, breakfast buffet was not up to expectations, room and bathroom were updated and very nice and they did have a bottle of wine for me as a VIP benefit which was very nice

A hotel with a great location. The room was nice and spacious. Good breakfast, also with selection of typical portuguese pastries.

The Pestana Vintage Porto is ideally located with many of the historic sites within easy walking distance. The staff in the hotel are professional, friendly and very helpful providing a warm welcome and excellent service. Breakfast is delicious with a wide range of options and dinner in the Rib and Beef is an experience not to be missed.

Very nice location. Good breakfast buffet.

The hotel is located in a historically protected area and you cannot bring a car. The hotel / Expedia must be very clear that having cars do not work with this hotel in summer time at least. There are two city parking lots nearby but they are full and cannot be used. We had to park 20 minutes away by car and get an Uber to go to the hotel and pay 15 Euro daily to park the car.

Great location on the river bank and great views of two bridges and across the river.

Lovely hotel in perfect location! Hotel is on the Ribeira Square. There is a bar attached to the hotel with tables outside overlooking the square and the river. Our room was on the fifth floor overlooking the river, restaurants. Just perfect. It’s definitely busy area but also relaxing while you’re sitting in one of many restaurants and cafes. The views are spectacular!
Stuff working at the bar was lovely, always nice and welcoming! Sitting outside the hotel was one of the highlights of our stay.
I gave five stars to the stuff working the front desk, breakfast etc. Although one of the girls from the front desk could be nicer and less rude. Her attitude wasn’t good. But it didn’t spoil our stay there.
I can’t wait to go back!

The location was so fantastic, we had a small balcony room looking out to the main walking next to the river, It rained two of the days, we were able to move our comfortable chairs to the open balcony and watch the people and the boats, we ordered room service and ate our bread and cheese board, It was one of the best places I have been to and I am 61 years old.

This was a great hotel. Located right on the water. Great views and lots of things happening there. Lovely location, lots of restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like were the steep hills but that’s all over Portugal.
2.0
Beautiful building, rooms, and lobby. Front desk staff are very friendly and more responsive but housekeeping is terribly inconsistent - room wasn't even fully clean up on arrival, and there were stains on carpet and chair. But bed is very nice with excellent linens and blankets. NOT soundproof rooms. Over-the-top breakfast works for those who want a giant breakfast. Location is outstanding for view, but is not easy to access by car for drop off. Also has mobs of people outside, some of whom are dicey, but staff really do try to keep vigilant. Those crowds are rowdy about 20 out of 24 hours a day, unless it's raining (then it's quiet). Some guest requests were handled very well, others required repeated inquiry. Expected more from a hotel of this reputation, but can recommend it with some caveats.
