The Hotel ran out of tourist map. Not the best start for a tourist not speaking Turkish. We were assigned a room that has drainage issue with the shower bath tub. Our shower took longer than usual bcos we had to pause the showering water to avoid flooding the bathroom. Still, the bathroom floor was very wet after. We requested for a change of room & they responded quickly & changed our room after breakfast the next morning. Other than this blemish, other aspect of the hotel was fine.
Although, the pebble stoned roads from the hotel to the tourist hotel spots are hilly & uneasy to walk. Would be challenging for older folks & those with leg issues.

Nice friendly helpful greeting for two travel weary, jet lagged people made for a more comfortable late night check in. Nice room overlooking the water although silly shower design resulted in all towels getting soaked (tired travellers part of problem) lovely rooftop dinner with friendly waiters and same place for continental breakfast again with views and sun.

Ibrahim gave us such a good service

Great staff, responsive to requests

Our stay was great. The staff were very friendly and even helped us with our beginner’s level Turkish. Hospitality couldn’t be better. Our rooms were comfortable though we did have a little difficulty with the air conditioning. It was sorted out and the room was cool. Beautiful terrace views! Görüşürüz!

Hotel is good: clean, good breakfasts, good staff and service, good location, but area around the property is not clean, as everywhere in old city
2.5
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Hotel room clean and spacious. Location very close to Hahia Sophia. Breakfast needs a little refreshment.

The location in walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Castle, Cistern Basilica etc was what initially drew our attention to Armada Old City. The bonus is that the hotel is clean and quiet and very comfortable, and the staff were great. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Armada hotel was the best choice for us. There are plenty of options around, but after waking through the area for over a week, time and time again we were proud of our choice. The service was excellent, Nico and mahya we're absolutely amazing and on top of delivering the best service. The location was great, it was just behind the wall of the old city, a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk to walk along the Bosphorus. The breakfast was suffice, the rooms were simple, clean and totally effective for our stay. We stayed 9 days. It's perfect for solo travelers, couples and families. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the hotel so much I decided to extend my stay for a couple more days. Maya is an absolute amazing hostess. She was very kind, very knowledgeable, very pleasant and super sweet. In fact, the staff is very kind and hopeful. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, the room was clean and comfortable. There was a young guy who delivered coffee and tea to my room every day, and he was very kind as well. Nico, Ozan and Ali were also very helpful and kind. I love this hotel. The location is excellent.

We had a great stay in this hotel. Would absolutely go back. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that would need improvement is the water temperature for the shower (in our room anyway): a bit on the cold side. Otherwise, we would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is super centrally located with a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia and the Bosphorus. It is also not far from the hotel to the cisterns, which were our highlight of the trip. The hotel staff were nice and welcoming.

Hotel was clean, friendly staff, good breakfast , good location. The only one complain is bad WiFi in the room.

Great "old city" location. Easy uphill walk to the major Sultanahmet sites and many restaurants (each with a tout inviting you in!!). The room was very cute and clean. I do warn that my room did not have electricity directly at the bedside (other rooms may have it), but the hotel was able to provide an inobtrusive extension cord that solved the problem well. My room was in the back and looked up to the Blue Mosque...so exciting. Rooms on the other side would see the busy Bosphorus entrance. The Terrace restaurant breakfast was among the best I've ever had anywhere, with an outstanding view. Too extensive to detail, but high points for me were fresh breads, quiche, honey, yogurt, juices, and very decent coffee. I would absolutely stay here again.

We liked the location of the hotel to main attractions in the old city and their on site restaurant especially breakfast option included in the price.
The hotel needs some updates in the rooms.

Close to tourist sites with friendly staff

Staff is well informed and helpful.

The rooftop view photos you see on their website are a bit wishful. I'd love to know what sort of photo wizardry was used to quadruple the size of that outdoor area!
We liked our room but had a cold feeling from the staff. Customer service did not seem to be a priority.

we got a room in the first floor; the heating and AC was broken, there’s no power outlet next to the bed. The shower unit was broken. The Wi-Fi did not work. The front desk staff had to be reminded several times of our requests.

Excellent location near the coast

Very helpful service. Very clean

The location in the Old City is good and the interior decor is very attractive. But most of the customers stay only a single night so they don't use the laundry service which, I think, is why the dry-cleaning service is so unreliable.
I have stayed several times and at the weekends the hotel is very noisy due to the wedding parties that they host and the hotel across the narrow road also blasts out loud music.

I really liked this Hotel than others in Istanbul. Its like a home which i preferred unlike mass skyscraper Hotel. The Staff's can speak very good English. I would definitely recommend it for short stay. The Hotel has no swimming pool or Gym etc i was there for one night and slept like a baby. The price are a bit too high but the free breakfast makes it worthwhile. If they were to compete with top hotels in Istanbul like Hilton they need to provide a similar facility
