Great place, almost like living in a museum. Two Honesty bars, great service. Breakfast was good but I was surprised that eggs (of any sort) could not be served. Rooms only had bathtubs, no walk in showers.

Best hotel experience ever! The manager Charles provided extraordinary friendliness courtesy and great recommendations during my stay. The vibe of the hotel was amazing, circa 1718 with beautifully preserved period furnishings and architecture. You won't be disappointed!

Really nice stay,all round experience

Superb.
Has plenty of character and much nicer than a bland chocolate box hotel.
Price is high but you get what you pay for.
Feels special and won’t stay anywhere else in London from now on .

Very nice hotel in an upscale areas with lots of bars and restaurants. I was able to walk to all of London's attractions with ease. The only drawback I found was there is no elevator so I had to walk up 55 stairs to get to my room on the 3rd floor.

Very old and very fun.

Very central

As my room was on a top floor, the ceiling was low, and with the room's dark colour palette, I found the room very suffocating and claustrophobic.
The staff tried to find a different room for me, but the hotel was full unfortunately.
The decor is probably not for everyone either. The other things I did not like were that: 1. there were no slippers in the room, 2. there was no handholding shower head. The shower was only from the ceiling. 3. Their sink is one of those where the hot water and cold water come from separate taps.
The staff was very friendly and kind. If it wasn't for them, I would have given the hotel even a lower rating, but their loveliness made up for the discomfort of the room.

It just doesn't get any nicer than this.

Beautiful property. Plenty of options for dining and night life. The public rooms within the hotel were lovely. The gin bar was exceptional!! I would highly recommend this hotel.

For 1,100 USD per night, this hotel was just okay. The charm and history were there, but the hotel is lacking warmth. It was the first night of our honeymoon, as we noted on the reservation, and not one person mentioned anything nor did anything in our room upon arrival. The faucets barely work in the bathroom, which again, for a thousand dollars, seems ridiculous. I would just say the hotel is okay- has a lot of potential to be better since the real estate is cool.

Superb gem nestled in the heart of Soho, and an oasis of olde worlde charm and calm in contrast to the hustle and bustle of London's street vibe! One of London's best kept secrets

Exceptional hotel with exceptional decor.

So unique, antique, clean and welcoming

No longer as good as it was. Still a beautiful and unique hotel but at these prices the service needs to be better.

This is a special place, a haven of calm in the middle of the West End

We stayed in the sister hotel Batty Langleys in Shoreditch so we were expecting good things but we were a little disappointed.
Having paid almost £750 for 2 nights we were disappointed to be charged £4 for a bottle of still water especially when there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The water is not listed on the minibar menu so we assumed it was included (as in most other hotels in the world!).
We had a tiny bathroom with a wooden cover with ornate holes in over the window frame rather than glass so was extremely cold! The bathroom door scratched the plaster when it was closed, the toilet was stained and the sink had big cracks in and leaked onto the floor underneath.
Good points were the very comfortable bed and pillows, the main areas of the hotel were lovely and the staff were very helpful but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Hazlitt's is a delightful hotel which combines Georgian charm with contemporary comfort. Our room was attractive and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed reading in the lounge in front of the fireplace.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is served in the room. The menu is small but the food was well prepared and portions generous.
It's in an excellent location for Soho theaters, the British Museum, shopping and dining. Despite the lively weekend street life our room was completely quiet.

A time warp, really, like steeping back into the Regency era. Generally speaking the place was a tad dilapidated, theadbare, but that´s part of charm(sort of).Extremely nice staff, the only negative thing I can think of is, that the closed circuit wiring in our room wouldn´t have been out of place in a certain TV comedy series from the 1970s, starring John Cleese: the bed side lamps couldn´t be operated from the bed. The bank of switches for the whole room was/is absurd, you push one button and the light in the bath room turns on, but when the big chandelier in the ceiling lights up, the bed side lamps die. And so on...It also transpired, that our mobile phones couldn´t be charged overnight without the chandelier jumping to life at the same time, ie. third degree light all night long!
The nice gentleman who came to fix the mess, shook his head, apologised, left and...reurned with two bed side lamps, both operational from the bed.
I´ll definitely return at some point, bringing a miner´s headlamp, just to be on the safe side...

We were both excited to stay at Hazlitts due to its historical nature. The building and rooms are beautiful. The initial welcome and ambience is slightly cold and lacking in atmosphere. The staff were efficient, although slightly lacking in personality and conversation. The breakfast was nice and efficiently brought to your room at the correct time. Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room was rather odd, considering the size of the mini bar. I understand you can order these at a cost, however convenience and choosing the strength of your tea and coffee are important elements for me and my wife. Overall a well situated, beautiful hotel, however in my opinion certain elements could be easily improved.

The staff were not particularly friendly but were polit enough. The carpet in our room was filthy and covered in stains. The radiator didn't work so they had to supply a portable heater. The toilet valve stayed open so water constantly flushed until i fiddled with the flush leaver. There is no tea and coffee in the room so you have to pay extra for something that is standard in most hotels these days. The cost of the breakfast that you have to eat in your room is extortionate, as is everthing else. The room was tinny so there was nowhere to eat the breakfast. There was nowhere to store our cases.

This hotel gave me the best experience I ever had , So peaceful I could spend days reading those books drinking english black tea and looking through the window to classic London I was in 1930s . I already miss it

Lovely hotel in the middle of the buzzling city. Walking distance to theatre district, piccadelly and regent street. Calm atmosphere and historic features all through the hotel. Friendly and service minded staff. We got an upgrade to a delux room which was unexpected but very appreciated! Lovely room where we felt like aristocrats from another time. Can definitely recommend this hotel for everyone who is up for something different than than what you get everywhere else. It’s an experience in London in itself.

Another absolutely wonderful stay at Hazlitt’s. This is such a special place.

Great stay! We will be back!

Super quiet, tasteful and historic retreat in the middle of the city nightlife with quick access to underground for getting anywhere in the city quickly.
4.5
I loved this hotel. Very quirky but full of character. Comfortable bed, ancient building but clean and well maintained in an excellent area. Less than 5 minutes walk to Oxford street, Tottenham court tube station (direct to Heathrow), theatre district etc.

Absolutely stunning place. Loved this hotel. Great position and the room was just amazing. One of the best hotels I’ve ever been. I highly recommend it.

A must stay hotel. Great service in the middle of SOHO

We had an issue the first night we were there but the problem was corrected and our stay was fabulous.

This hotel is an absolute gem. From the decor to the delicious risotto to the absolutely wonderfully helpful, accommodating and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay. I was sad to go home!

Amidst a sea of soulless modern minimalist hotels, Hazlitt's is a characterful oasis of Victorian poetry. With gorgeous period gothic furnishings, inspired interior design, & amenities like drawing rooms with gin bars, en suite sitting rooms/garden balconies, and Victorian cast bronze tub fixtures, Hazlitts is an attraction unto itself. The staff was gracious & attentive. It is immaculate & lovely. We will return.

Hazlitt's is a beautiful hotel, it feels like you're walking back in time into a fabulous English parlour. Room was quite small, and bathroom as well was small but was fine for what we needed. It wouldn't hurt for there to be a bit more storage for visitor's personal items in the bookcases, which were loaded up with old books (part of the decor) and the mini fridge. A drawer or two would be just enough. Location was amazing, close to so many pubs, restaurants, and a short walk to all of the sights.
4.5
Everything was excellent. I was impressed by the attention to details and thoughtfulness of all of the staff. The bed was also very comfortable!

Gorgeous hotel, the staff were super friendly and the beds are possibly the most comfortable I’ve ever known. Breakfast delivered to your room was superb…a real gem of a hotel
