This place is hands down the nicest resort in Mazatlan. Check in was great, and was able to check in early. The room was very big and beautifully appointed. The all inclusive includes several restaurants with very good food. There is also a bar called "Kellys" which had very good drinks and live entertainment. But the best thing of all were the grounds, I have no idea how they keep them up .. b ut they were the best I have seen in any resort.

Massive classic resort!! Top quality amenities

Accommodation (fixtures, fittings, and furniture) are dated and need an update - not 4* standard for sure. Cleanliness was good/very good though. Great main pool area with a great pool food/drink service (Roberto is the man!). Beach was good for a 30 min morning stroll/jog. Resort lacked any evening entertainment/activities so catered for those wanting a more sedate holiday. It was certainly too quiet for us and we don’t consider ourselves party animals; but a little something in the evening would have been nice. The lack of the advertised shuttle service to sister resort was disappointing and meant you were isolated to a degree. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not quite enough to return.

Beautiful resort

Superb resort, a tropical paradise. Excellent food and service. The area around the resort doesn’t offer much, but the free shuttle takes you closer to the Golden Zone.

The resort is very old and is in desperate need of repairs/upgrades. All the lamps in our room were damaged, only a couple outlets worked, outlet in bathroom worked half the time, no where to plug a phone next to your bed, the last day NO WATER came out of the shower and no hot water in the sink. I told the front desk and they did nothing. If you enjoy protein or seafood this is not the place for you!!! The food was lacking any flavor, especially the desserts. There were minimal shrimp options...maybe two. It tasted like they watered down their liquer because I would order double drinks and still not taste the alcohol. The pools look dirty, the floors and stairs of the pool were filthy. The hottubs were crowded with kids and babies in diapers! The outdoor bathrooms surrounding the pool were in need of repairs and filthy. This resort needs to be remodeled, they need some professional chefs to upgrade the menus and they need to put money into the food and drinks they are serving. I have gone several years prior and will never be returning. I will also be discouraging others to visit.

We really enjoyed our trip, the front desk employee Jacob made a great first impression and was so welcoming.
Alejandro and Oscar in the bar area of Kelly's took great care of us and was a pleasure every time we went.
Jose and Jorge at the swim up adult bar were so attentive and nice.

I did like that the property was secluded but the room needed lots of updates, broken lamp, bed was not comfortable, no amenities like iron and iron board, lotion, robes etc we felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff the entire trip. They acted like they really didn’t care that we were there and language was a huge barrier. If you don’t speak fluent Spanish its not for you. Things that I had emailed about including transportation we not correct, i had specified transportation that did NOT stop at other resorts- we spent 3 hours on a shuttle- also when going to the sister resort in town again they were not helpful and we got in a jam after taking taxi ride and had to give him all of our money for 2 blocks ride. All in all i would not return with so many things on the negative side, however the town itself was fun and we enjoyed the culture and especially the cooking class we took and the old town.

We had 5 nights all inclusive and ate all means on site. After the first full day my wife became violently ill with severe cramps, vomitting and diarrhea. She was like that for 3 full days, unable to leave the room and not able to eat anything. She drank only electrolites purchased at the store on site. We contacted our personal health provider in Mazatlan who said all indications pointed to food poisoning or salmonella. As we live in Mazatlan we wanted to leave and asked about a refund or credit for the remaining days at Expedia and daily at the hotel. Our request was denied by the manager and Expedia did not reply to us until after our stay was over. We are unhappy with this experience.

The junior suite rooms were much better than i expected. high ceiling, mini kitchen, nice sized patio. Plenty of choice for food and drinks. The property is very far from activities however, taxis are fairly reasonable.

I liked the safe feeling. It was not crowded. We were able to walk and enjoy the place. The food was great. We were treated really well. The only thing I did not like was at check out we told them we had a VIP credit from Expedia and It took them too long to verify that it was true.

Did not like the food offered for room service. Hotel room was kept clean daily I liked that.

Enjoyed everything except during peak hours, cars take too long to pick you up and take you to your destination. 15-20 minutes waiting time is excessive.

The resort was beautiful and extremely clean. The staff was very attentive and polite. The beach was a little rocky but the free shuttle to the other resort was nice to get in there ocean.

The staff were all very helpful and kind. The food was phenomenal. The beach access was a bit rocky but still beautiful. A free shuttled was offered to and from Pueblo Bonito Maz., allowing use of both resorts. PBM had more user friendly beach access but was a bit more of a lively resort, less relaxing than Emerald Bay. If you're looking for a pampering, chill vibe book Emrald Bay!

The amenities are awful. I received a bottle of shampoo with either toilet water or urine in it: I spoke to 2 staff members to have different products sent as the ones they provide were drying my skin. No one bothered to assist. The staff at the restaurants are amazing but guest services are not helpful at all. The food at the property is disappointing and not worth the cost of all inclusive.

The entire experience was lovely and only made better by every single staff member we encountered. Our room was clean, beautiful, well-appointed and quiet. Fine dining and drinks at our leisure made our stay easy and economic. Pristine beach and pools everywhere. A feast for the body and eyes!
