Not centrally located. No ameneties in the area. Quite a drive from catania....;
Expensive;
Hidden charges- they charge for everyting including plain water;
Basic service and decor. Hotel needs a good upgrade;
No access to beach! Pool closes at 1900!;
Pros:
Good parking area;

Definately wouldn't recommend.

This was my first stay at the hotel. We were overall happy with our stay. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view, despite being located in the southern wing. AC worked well. Ample parking space which is valuable as well.
The highlight of the hotel is the (salt water) pool area which is stunning and spacious with sun from morning to evening. The hotel also offers easy access to the sea if you prefer that, with rental SUPs etc.
The restaurant serves really great food - very pricey for the area, but reasonable given that’s it’s a hotel restaurant. Great service and generous portions.
On the negative side: the hotel has no concierge which surprised me, and when I asked for help booking tickets I was offered none other than a website name.
The sunbeds are plastic, uncomfortable and poor looking. Would be nice to see them acquire new sun beds would elevate the overall experience.
The cushions/bedpillows in our room were flat and hard - it’s an Italian thing, not worse or better than most hotels. But would love if the reception could offer other types of pillows. Might be that they do, didn’t ask, but wasn’t marketed either in the room information.
All in all a very good experience - looking forward to go back for sure

The hotel is sourrunded by a natural reserve. The settings are stunning. The hotel communal areas are beautiful and well cared for. The rooms are somewhat dated but still very good. choose a seaview room if you can. Staff was very friendly. Huge swimming pool. Access to the sea via a gangway, just hidillic. Lot's of fun!

Fantastic place. Beautifull hotel directly to the sea. We loved snorkling in the sea. Very comfortable rooms. Ours with at nice big balcon with sea view. Very helpfull and friendly staff.

Hotel was lovely... pool area was fab with plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Plenty of free car parking. Restaurants were good but they lacked air con as did main hotel areas. Eating outside in 38degrees at night wasnt pleasant.

Staff went out of there way for our late arrival, even told the kitchen to stay open so we could dine in the outside restaurant. Property is well maintained, clean and updated. Great place for the price and only 45 minutes to Mt Etna. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only negative was mattress was very hard, I like a firm mattress but not solid.

We stayed here for two days and had a wonderful time. The views were incredible..the photos online do not do it justice! All personnel were kind and very accommodating. Room was clean and just the right size. Will definitely be booking again the next time we’re in Sicily.

The location is great if you have a car. The staff is friendly. Especially the young couple at the pool, but one guy was so rood that we didn’t feel welcomed. The hotel was filled with local people not living in the hotel in the weekends this changed the standard of the clients. At breakfast we had to stand in line for a long time to get coffee but the the view was great. We complained about an animal on our rooftop waking us up in the morning at 6:30. It was a big one size of a dog and no one took us seriously. We have visited the place 3 times and stayed two weeks, this time the price was double up. It’s a pity as the hotel was almost empty with better prices the hotel could be full. The restaurant is really good but the system with some staff that can take orders and some not makes it slow. They are all kind I have to underline. The hotel shows signs of not being maintained for a long time.

Disappointing, infested with little bugs flying in the room. Bathroom much to be desired, old and barely any water pressure from the showerhead. We were given a room in the old part of the building in spite of having several rooms available in the renovated wing. Service is certainly not with a smile.

Amazing location with great swimming pool. Very good breakfast including brioche with granita. Very good room with nice balcony. The only small negative point was a bit thin walls as you can hear the people from the room above is you.

The situation of the hotel was excellent. The overall look of the lobby was beautiful. The pool was very clean and the pool attendants were helpful and friendly. Claudio the bellboy was really attentive and courteous. One of the reception staff was rude when challenged about the condition of the rooms. The electrician was incredibly rude. The bathroom in the room we booked had black mould in the bath and we were told that it was the silica. The room also smelled musty. The alarm cord was filthy. We asked the bathroom to be cleaned...but it was not done to the standard we expect of a 4 star hotel. We saw 4 other rooms...one had a bathroom in the same state and two others had no working aircon. When we informed front desk, he told us that he is the one who works in the hotel therefore he is the one who knows and asked us "whether we were the master of the hotel ? We eventually picked up the last available room with a clean bathroom but the paint was peeling of the ceiling. we were told it would be sorted but it was not done.

This hotel is all about the pool and sun deck area but the location is in the middle of nowhere. Nearby you will find a few restaurants and one market. Hotel room was nice and spacy, a bit tired but the sea view was great. Food in the hotel area is over priced and the quality is poor, sushi lunch was delicious. Breakfast needs to be updated, some healthy options would have been great.

The hotel was very nice, clean and friendly. The opportunity to swim in the sea, via steps also nice. Take a snorkel for a great experience. So in summary a beautiful place to relax. The area is a bit quiet, but a maybe 5 restaurants in 20 minute walking radius.

The hotel has an impressive location with a wonderful outside pool area and access to the sea via stairs falling directly into the sea (overseen by lifeguard). Rooms are a bit tired but perfectly functional considering the time you would spend in them (mini fridge and safe). Free parking and excellent free wifi. The outdoor pool and multiple sun deck areas flows into the multiple restaurants/bars making the most of the sea view. Easy walk into town if you want to try the local restaurants specialising in fresh fish. Reception were happy to let me continue to ise services post checkout and offered to extend my checkout time.

Nice hotel with excellent staff but the Manageress was extremely rude and hostile! The room they originally allocated us was ridiculously small so we upgraded to a suite.......at double the price. She begrudged giving us a small discount due to inconvenience - her attitude was most unfortunate and unprofessional.

Good hotel that is popular with tour operators so expect to see large groups. Hotel was well equipped with sunbeds (attracting paying day-guests) and dining options.1 swimming pool only. No evening entertainment on-premise and the local area doesnt look promising either.

A very stylish hotel but with few surrounding attractions. If you want a romantic out of season hideaway this would be ideal. We might have expected a little more attention to detail considering the price. While our room was clean and spacious and had a wonderful sea view, several items were broken or 'tired'. The Hotel offered few facilities out of season although service was friendly and attentive. Good location for exploring the Eastern side of the Island.

Very relaxing hotel with very polite staff. Rooms extremely comfortable and al a carte menu extensive. Buffet breakfast could have been more varied over the week long stay. Pool was superb. Would recommned hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday and a good central point for the east of the Island

The hotel is beautifully appointed with an infinity pool and landscaped grounds with a very well designed terrace. The entrance,common areas and restaurants are very good and food quality excellent.
Unfortunately because of the size of hotel it is used for conferences/package tours from France and UK and weddings. If you enjoy people watching this is great, especially the weddings but it can get a little crowded at times and the terrace is dismantled for events.
The 2 days the hotel did not have events were bliss and during the day it can be quiet if no conferences and weddings. I am sure this was high season for weddings-we had zero rainfall in a week and 3 weddings. This is an excellent location for touring to many spectacular east and south coast sites and climbing Etna. Just choose your season well.
Also we asked for a room with 2 queen beds and were given twins. We still had a good time but it took the edge of it and reduced comfort levels.

This hotel was a good location for us because we were traveling to Taramina and Syracuse it was in the middle. Great little towns around. We had a sea view just great.

Broken shower head, a tempermental air conditioning unit and no balcony - if you do not speak adequate Italian, then you are unable to complain about any of these things. The staff on reception only scowl when you attempt some Italian and claim not to understand you. A rough shake of the head when you ask if anyone can speak English. A smile would not have gone amiss for this increasingly unsettled and foreign guest who tried their best to speak Italian. The service was in all, a major disappointment. The restaurants are confusing. For lunch, you have to make a booking, only it is not clear where to book and the staff turn you away if you just turn up despite the restaurant being empty. Poor quality breakfast and no room service makes this a challenging place to eat and given its location, there is nowhere to go as an alternative. Taxis are difficult to come by (on that note, prepare yourself for an expensive ride if getting a taxi from the airport). No entertainment with the only English speaking channels on the TV for early evening are the news (sky had been fitted but needed a card - something which I did not know how to obtain). The only excursion information available was a leaflet on diving - again only available in Italian. This is not a hotel I would recommend for a lone traveller. You also definitely need to have a solid grasp of Italian - not a place for someone who needs a phrase book to order a drink.

Yes, a nice hotel but the staff didn't have a clue. No information in rooms and restaurants took some tracking down if you weren't staying half board. Once found though the food was extremely good although a bit on the expensive side for what it was. However, my biggest issue was with wireless internet access. I bought 24 hours thinking I was being charged 15 Euros - the figure I was given by the guy at reception. On checking out I was told it was actually 50 Euros! All they could do was apologise. THIS MUST BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE INTERNET ACCESS IN THE WORLD - EXTORTIONATE!

The hotel it's self is fabulous. All areas are clean and well maintained, and the staff are all helpful and friendly too. You can get by with just English, and the menu's in the restaurant are translated too. The hotel is in a quite secluded spot, we rented a car, and would recommend you do too. The are a few villages along the coast within 20 minutes drive which offer, a 'local' experience, great seafood, cheap lunches and again very friendly people. The coast in the area is made of dark volcanic rock and wouldn't be great for little children, and the rocks get very hot too!!. All in all, I would reccommend this hotel in every respect!
