We had a very good stay, great location and everything we could expect from this hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Only slight issue is parking but resolved by free parking a few minutes walk. Would recommend especially if travelling by train.
4.2
Room was nice, spacious and comfortable. The spa bath was very dated and wasn't like the pictures advertised so wasn't used which was a shame. Location is great, 5min walk to Byres Rd with a selection of restaurants and bars.
4.2
We really enjoyed the neighborhood and the experience of this location. The walk up three flights was “invigorating” but that’s what you get with this kind of old hotel.
4.2
Nice building, nice location but most definitely not good value. Staff were friendly. No lift in hotel. Room was spacious but sparsely furnished, stain on chaise longue at end of bed, cobwebs on ceiling, bathroom very cramped, shower unit awkward to access, noisy bathroom door closure. Clothing rail rather than wardrobe. Would not stay here again.

Nice little hotel is a beautiful area of Glasgow. Bathrooms were a bit odd and need a refresh but everything was clean so no complaints. There was a loud gushing drain pipe in our room (7) but it didn’t keep us awake.
Really good breakfast.
4.2
Nice location ; most of all I required assistance in a couple of matters & the front desk staff were most helpful & understanding & considerate
4.2
We had a wonderful room with a large window, an amazing ceiling and a great view. The breakfast was very complete.
4.2
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room, bed and bathroom were undersized. The location was on a quiet street. Several shops and restaurants were in an easy walk.
4.2
The Belhaven was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and plenty of eating locations in walking distance.
4.2
This was a true gem, the brilliance of which is only outdone by staff. They were helpful, friendly, and amazing. We had no problems coming early and storing our many bags before a later checkin. The staff moved our bags to the room. The room was large and so beautiful. High ceilings. Gorgeous fixtures. Large windows. Two big comfy beds. A plush carpet. A spacious table and chairs in our room for breakfast. The hotel was also in a great location. Easy to walk to places. We had a rental car when we dropped off our bags and the little street is pretty tight with parked cars on both sides. I don’t think I’d want to have a car in Glasgow, but they had a turnaround spot and the drivers in the city are courteous and safe, so you could if you needed to.
Would definitely stay here again. Wish we had had more than one night!
4.2
The view from the room was great and the bed was confortable.
There are many things to see and good restaurants near the hotel, such as Botanic Park, Glasgow University, and Calvin Grove Art Gallery and Museum.
4.2
The hotel is beautiful with elegant, spacious rooms and comfortable beds.
4.2
A comfortable and clean room in an ideal west end location

A brief overnight stay in Glasgow for a concert at Hampden park. Lovely old building, well maintained. Room was spotless. We were on the 3rd floor. Stairs all the way, the last set quite narrow. I’d have liked to stay for a couple of nights at this side of town. Very nice

The Kings Arms Hotel, Lockerbie, Scotland- If you want modern, bright and shiny, this is not the place for you. I like comfortable, good bed, clean accommodations with a historical angle if possible. We are traveling with my young adult fraternal twins. This location had a “family room” that could sleep 5 (1 couple and 3 individuals), so 1 bed went unused. We had 3 large windows for lots of daylight. No special view out the windows (roof top of building next door). We received a friendly greeting upon arrival and offers to carry our bags up (not necessary). Parking is limited, but we scored a spot just a few steps away. I feel the cost of the accommodations was reasonable, and by the way, the brand new, spacious bathroom was a surprise treat! Towels were fluffy. We were very happy here.

Wonderful room at a great location.

Wonderful place

Comfy bed, large room, clean, decent location for the purpose of my visit around 10mins drive from the centre. Parking ok and easy enough to find.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Quite large and clean room. Would book again.

We booked here to celebrate our anniversary and our engagement.
Pros -
Spacious room and I loved the vintage furniture
Bed was super comfy
Huge spa bath for 2 people
Really good breakfast the following morning
Cons -
The room is tired, wallpaper peeling from walls, plaster peeling from ceiling, and the carpet was dirty with iron burn marks on it
The room was constantly cold. One radiator for a big space (not double glazed windows) and it kept turning itself off.
The noise was from outside was really audible - you could hear the traffic from the main road.
From about 4am till 7am there was a strange noise like water whooshing in the room. We think it was maybe a pipe down the side of the window but it was so loud neither of us could sleep. When we said to reception they said they were unaware and never had any complaints.
They did give us a free breakfast to compensate but it would be a deal breaker for us to stay again.
All in all nice enough hotel but needs some tlc. I wouldn’t be likely to stay again.
4.2
The perfect place to explore the West End. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The family room was very spacious. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but it looked great and was quite affordable.
4.2
Very welcoming staff. Comfortable room and spotlessly clean. Would stay again
4.2
Don't take a room on the top floor room 17 if you want a descent bed. Creaky frame and very flimsy. Window cord broken on the right so couldn't open window.
4.2
Great location , friendly and helpful staff.

Really nice hotel, great location, very clean and comfortable would definitely stay again

Disappointing stay, room 7 was very cold (even with heating on), no curtains at windows just blinds, water pipes very noisy on either side of window obviously was waste water from upstairs rooms, no hot water on Sunday told new boiler switches off overnight and they have to put it back on in morning and takes few hours for hot water, we had to boil kettle for hot water, beds comfortable, breakfast good. My bank card was charged for another room prior to our check in was told they must have your bank card when I said no I had it myself I had to show them I had it, asked for manager to phone me Saturday no call, on checkout on Sunday asked to speak to manager told she was fixing a toilet and to give it a week for refund, asked for evidence refund processed and was given receipt for other room with the other residents personal details name and address on (receptionist wasn’t bothered when I explained she’d gave me the other persons details breech of data protection).

Nice, simple, effective

We stayed as a group of friends for 1 night to attend a concert. Gorgeous building. We had the family suite which was spacious and a good selection of teas and coffees.
Beds were really comfy and our room nice and warm
Staff couldn't have been any more helpful even allowing us to have breakfast even though we were slightly late in getting up in the morning. Our hangovers Definately thank you for this. Food was well cooked and great selection of fruit, pastries etc
4.2
Great stay, very friendly team! The family room really met our needs (family with two children). Huge room, including a table and a large couch.
Breakfast was made to order and very tasty.
Would stay again anytime.
4.2
The room was not the one advertised on the page.
No heating (the system turns off after 1 minute), not sound isolated, there is a constant sound of dripping water. I expected more for 150 euros per night.
4.2
room ok small but clean the bar was not open rugby on ITV but tv did not work
rather spoiled the evening

Rooms need an update

Great location, palatial room, top-tier staff!

Basic but good value. Clean, but at the cost of a strong small of disinfectant

Parking was tricky.

For the first time ever, I sleep in a hotel with good mattress and pillows!!!
Breakfast was really good, friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are huge, but maybe the toilets are too small. But overall, I recommend it! Good choice!

Overall excellent service
