Nice hotel. Great location close to most sights and many bars and restaurants.
However, the neighbourhood is noisy.

The staff were amazing. Friendly and informative. The hotel is between the train station and old town. It is easy walking to all major services, museums and historical sites. There a LOT of interesting shops and cafes nearby. Breakfasts were lovely.

A beautifully decorated hotel. Very close to the old town market place and surrounded by a large variety of eateries in the area.

PARKING IS BY METER, BUT AT 7PM-9AM IT IS FREE. HOTEL WAS COMFORTABLE AND THE OWNER WAS ON SITE AND VERY EASY TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. ROOM WAS INEXPENSIVE YET MUCH BIGGER THAN I EXPECTED. AND NICE BED- WE SLEPT IN!

Very good small French hotel, convenient and great value.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights.
It’s a perfect location in old town, just few hundred yards from Saint- Joan of Ark Church.
Unfortunately, there is no information on hotel’s website that it’s pedestrian street only. After few rounds on nearby streets ( our GPS got “crazy”), we parked the car on another street and I walked to hotel. A very nice front desk person opened the metal boulder, so we could get to hotel to unload our luggage. After that we had to drive to parking garage which is two blocks away and costs 15 euros s day.
Our room was clean, bed comfortable. As usual, website pictures are more impressive that a reality , but we knew that it’s a small, old hotel and it’s location was more important to us.
However, both nights we couldn’t sleep till 3:00 am, because of outside noise. There is a bar across the street that stays open till 2:00 am and “ happy” customers didn’t care how late it is.
Also, please note that shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all in one, as in majority of European hotels.

The owner and his team were so kind and helpful. This is an old property and very very french. Small rooms but clean. Very central. Great little find .

Quirky property with lots of narrow stairs. We booked a family room for 4 but actually got 2 adjoining double bedrooms on the top floor accessed by their own staircase. Rooms were lovely, well presented and clean. Bathrooms were slightly old-fashioned with only handheld shower attachments to taps so showering was a bit tricky, but lots of hot water.
Didn't eat breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on the food, but the dining area looked well presented. Staff very friendly and really helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Only real downside to this property is the access as it is on a pedestrianised street so you can't park outside. We ended up paying for 4 hour parking on a side street and then moving the car to a 24 hour underground car park. Would have been good to have been given directions straight to the car park prior to arrival to avoid having to move the car around.

Stayed 2 Nights. Very central hotel with short walking distance to most places we wanted to see in Rouen

Good location, older style building, very compact bathroom but good value.

Small hotel in a great location. No traffic in the street outside the hotel. P-house just a few minutes away where we payed 15 € a day. Small shops and restaurants near by. The rooms are small and clean. No air condition. We loved Rouen, great city and friendly people.

the hotel manager, Stella, was extremely helpful with all requests, and made this an excellent stay. the property itself is well situated and has all the amenities, is comfortable and very clean. great view of the city from the top floor (where I stayed). (but the top floor requires climbing one flight of stairs).
If I could make a suggestion -- please try to eliminate all single-use plastic items from the hotel. There aren't very many, only a few things this hotel uses, like plastic cups in the guest rooms, and yogurt containers on the breakfast buffet. Please find a way to use re-usable (washable) items or at least paper (decomposable).
Merci beaucoup for everything!

Hotel charged me 4 times on my card for a 1 night stay. When I sent them proof they still denied and refused to refund. I booked via hotels.com and despite the assurances no help in the end. A budget hotel cost me a 5 star price for 1 night. Do not go to this hotel

We spent three nights at the Hotel Dandy, and found the staff (singular when we arrived) friendly and very helpful. The room was nice, the bed very good, and there was lots of room to move. The hotel could not be better placed in the heart of the old town. The breakfast room was very pleasant, and breakfast was very good, in the French manner. However, we do not think the hotel is suitable for people with disabilities. While there is a lift to room levels, it is small, and would not accommodate a wheelchair of any size (which we didn’t need, but we were on sticks). Our room was on floor 4, and there was a step down to the lift level, and the lift door swung in such a way as to make movement quite difficult. The bathroom was ok, but I could not use the shower. There was a bath with a shower in it, so getting in was tricky, but the slippery bath floor and the lack of a non-stick matt meant I could not use it.Parking could have been a really serious problem for us. We were told by the hotel that there were parking spaces we could pay for. When we got there, they were all taken, and in any case, we were told that they were not suitable for disabled people. We were told that we could park on “Suave disabile” spots on a nearby road. They were also all taken, and we parked illegally until one became free (found for us by the hotel, for which many thanks). So as blue badge holders, we didn’t pay for parking, a plus if a space is available. Good holiday, though.

This hotel was the perfect location for walking anywhere in the city, and within a very short distance to and from the train station. Very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, natural light filled room and bathroom with great windows that open for ventilation. The service from staff was excellent. The Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby , but we didn’t mind. It was a little bit noisy late at night from the bar across the street; but we think that was because it was a Friday night. We still loved our stay here !

Not suitable if you come by car because it is not possible to drive and park outside the front door. The parking available as advertised turned out to be an underground parking deck in the market area, means difficult driving in and out of it. We got the impression that the hotel did have parkings of their own but they were booked already. Nowhere on the site is it mentioned that a reservation had to be made. The room was okay, close to all the interesting places in the city. Simple, functional breakfast. Had a laugh at their hour-glasses to set time for your toast.

We stayed one night on our return from Spain. The hotel has parking for only 3 cars and this was booked so we parked in an underground car park 3 mins walk away. The hotel is in an older building, very central for sightseeing. We were up in the roof, which gave us lovely views from the skylight windows, but my 6’3” husband found the bathroom a real challenge. Even I, at 5’1” was struggling to stand upright in the shower. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. There are bars and restaurants nearby - bear that in mind if you don’t like city noise especially in summer as there is no air con.We didn’t have breakfast but the croissants and coffee smelled great!Great value hotel too for such a fabulous location.

Friendly, helpful hotelier and staff and hotel in good central area of Rouen which is very interesting historic city. We felt that breakfast price was a bit high per person, relative to lunch/dinner prices of local restaurants. We liked Hotel Dandy and will think to book again for a future visit.

Wouldnt refund my money even though we had a medical emergency that prevented us from staying at the hotel that night. Front staff was extremely rude and had no sympathy at all.
