The staff on reception were very helpful.
Room was clean and comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good. Tram stop just outside hotel.
The only downside was one lift was out of order so there was long waits for the Lift, especially on the morning of check out.

Stop over en route to Burgen.

This is my second time staying at the Anker and it is now my go to location for a place to stay in Oslo. The beds are supremely comfortable, the coffee is pretty good, and the ambience in the bar at night is rather stylish.
The staff are friendly and everything is wonderfuly quiet at night, even when the hotel is quite full.

Supert hotell

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast is good. But the walls are so thin that you can hear people from other room snoring. Also they don’t provide a carpet on the bathroom and the floor gets wet. So I would say it’s medium comfort.

We loved it! Helpful and friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, comfortable beds and a location which allowed us to walk everywhere.
Highly recommend it!

Nice and clean room with a good bed. All I needed for my stay in Oslo.
Breakfast was decent, but the "orange juice" was below standard.

Veldig bra opphold. Litt flate puter- som eneste minus.

Great hotel right near the centre of Oslo. Lovely breakfast, clean room and nice lounge/bar area to relax in from a day's sightseeing.

Very nice hotel. Good location. 15 minutes walk from city centre. Tram stop right outside. Good breakfast selection.
Receptionists were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Only problem with the room was a very small shower.
Apart from that, this is a great hotel.

central quite big hotel with basic rooms. my single room had small tv, private bathroom with shower. possible to open one Window a bit. No extras in room, no fridge, minibar, kettle, glasses,coffee-Machines and so on. maybe a hairdryer, had soap. bed ok. heard snoring from next room. breakfast good. Price per Night normally in the lower end for Pslo, ok value.

Good hotel near downtown with good breakfast . Nothing super special, just a good place to stay. I'd stay there again

Room was two small . Bathroom was really small and no Facilities. Cleaning was not done properly, never changed bed sheets or pillows cover. Floor was not cleaned and kept dirty. Never changed used glasses and only provided plastic cups once. Not a good place to stay with family

Overall Good experience, rooms were clean & well maintained. Location is convenient for tourists due to trikk stop just outside the hotel, nearby area is also very neat & clean. Loved the 3 day stay ❤️😊

Perfect hotel, power shower, beautiful room, tram stop outside, amazing breakfast! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reasonably priced hotel. Though the room was very hot. We could only open the window a little and there was some construction in the back that woke us up early. The shower was leaking all over the bathroom floor. And there was nothing to wipe it up. The breakfast was ok.

The property was clean and the staff helpful but there are a few misrepresentations listed in amenities from Expedia. The restaurant or dining is ONLY breakfast - quite a full breakfast but nothing else. There are NO LAUNDRY services of any kind I was told there was a laundromat a few blocks away - no cleaners either. There was WiFi but it took us a couple of days to get WiFi in our room and we had VERY spotty television if any at all. No we did not come to Norway to watch TV but after a full day if you want to put your feet up for a bit and decompress don't count on any television entertainment. The staff appeared to be helpful but nothing really changed in regard to WiFi or TV. On a positive side fresh towels were delivered every day and the tram is directly across the street and runs like clockwork and there are many restaurants in the area.

Perfect for what we wanted. Big room, big bed, comfy. Great breakfast included

This is a pretty standard, although recently renovated hotel. We received a much smaller room than anticipated, street-side with no AC. It was particularly warm the nights we were there, requiring the windows to be open, but the street noise was crazy loud, even with ear plugs. The hotel was very busy with guests (Fri/Sat nights) and so the breakfast buffet was very busy as well. That said, we ate well and enjoyed our breakfasts immensely. Just didn't sleep well because of the heat and noise coming from all the partyers returning from their venues all hours of the night.

The staff here was so incredibly kind, respectful, and helpful. They were able to check us in right when we got there, even though we arrived an hour early. They also offer late check-out, which was really convenient for our late flight time. We were also able to keep our luggage there after we checked out and explored the city some more before we had to head to the airport. The bed was really comfortable, and the sheets, pillows, and comforter were all great—soft and supportive. Perfect location as a jumping off point for exploring Oslo and other surrounding towns in Norway. Fair warning to Americans: there is really no air conditioning, so it’s tough to get used to just relying on a cracked open window to keep the room cool. We were quite warm through the night. The bathroom was a bit outdated, but the rest of the room was nice. Amazing view from the 13th floor and great view from our room as well.

The place is a bit far from sights. But its breakfast is great. It provides daily cleaning which is better than others.

Aircon didn’t work and was too hot. Tram stop right outside and easy to walk to nice food places. Breakfast selection was good but quality was average
8.0
A bit shabby in parts but largely clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are lovely. However, it seems to be across the street from a drug user hostel/health centre/needle exchange and there were always people off their faces on drugs and police around. It didn’t feel unsafe exactly, intimidating at times for sure. Also there was a lot of shouting in the street all hours of the night. If this is all you can afford, as Oslo is very expensive, the hotel is nice enough. If you can afford better, I suggest you pay more and stay elsewhere

Great location
10.0
The location is excellent, very close to all the tourist attractions and transport links.
The quality and choice at breakfast was excellent.
The room was very clean and had extras not found in our other Scandinavian hotels such as - 2 easy chairs, fridge, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities.
If only BBC world news TV channel was available or possible, it would have been good on the night it was much too wet to walk around outside
