Motel 6 has a representation for being a bad hotel. I thought maybe it will not be so bad but it was. Ended up leaving earlier due to safety concerns.
0.5 / 5.0
It did not even closely met my expectation as the room was said to be a queen size but looked more like a full. The door knob to the bathroom was not fully attached. The toilet seat looked very uncomfortable as there were some paint chipped. There were some dog crappings on the ground. The environment gave off a vibe like there were some drug addicts and/or dealers. After about 10 or 20 minutes of checking in, i shortly left to go to another hotel.

Very last choice. They accept pets so đź‘Ť

What you expect from a budget hotel. The floor was kinda creaky and had some sticky spots, might've been from cleaners not being fully removed.

The price is good and the size is ok for a single night, you can tell the room was given a makeover, it was within walking distance to a little mall and some restuarants, however I would not go there again. The walls are paper thin and I had a hard time sleeping due to all the commotion outside at night time, you can even hear the traffic on the road, the air conditioner vent was very dirty, the smoke detector was missing, the door looked like the corner was chewed off, the shower head was leaking water everywhere when it was turned on, the desk chair was broken and there was no label on the phone so no idea how to use it. I felt incredibly unsafe as someone traveling alone.

This place had a lot of not so good people, looked like they lived there. Gurls hanging out of the doors, with lots of guys coming and going. I would not recommend this place. Not a safe place for kids. Glad i had my gun. It was very sketchy.

Spider webs on in corners of walls, toilet ran all night! Sink hardly had any pressure. Looked like confetti on floor, that was never pick up from the last people that used the room. Room was not a smoke free room. Strong smell of smoke in room. .Paper thin walls. Heard the conversation of the people walking by & the people up stairs had to ask for the TV remote from office. Coffee cup with coffee in it was dropped in front of door, was not picked up until 3 hrs later. . The location was great, close to shopping, restaurants & friendly staff.

I like the price for the value. All basics are there. Rooms very bare bones but ok. My toilet didn;t work well and light above sink was out.

Not only was my room full of flies and dirty but the next morning when I was getting ready for my appointment, I went to take a shower, and there was no running water, and they refused to move me rooms or do anything as far as compensating me for this.

There was a few little things that were damage before I got there so I am not responsible for them. Would be nice to have a bathtub/shower and not just a shower.

Worst hotel ever. Run down disgusting rooms. No fire alarm…. This room was not supposed to be rented out. Refused to give me a refund.

My bed had dirty sheets on it that stunk. They didn’t prepare the room before I checked in. The room smelled like dog and on Thursday when I was gone all day, I came back around 1 am and my room stunk of marijuana and someone was on my bed because there was shoe print on the blanket.

Never ever ever stay here. I had to switch rooms twice. The first room smelt so bad of urine. The second room had no air conditioning. The third room had a/c and a clean looking bed so I gave up. Upon spending some time in the room after the state fair we found the room was missing the fire alarm. The door to the room looked like it was falling out of the frame DO not go outside. Your greated with drug addicts and the security guard does nothing. Just walks around smoking a swisher….

The room had a strong smoke smell, the door to the room had large gaps.

The first room the ac was not working. The second room it was clunking along but worked. The toilet took a few flushes every time. One of the lamps had a burned out bulb. The door you could see daylight through. Rained in during a thunderstorm. Had to use one of two bath towels to stop the water from coming in. The shampoo was used by the sink. The second night we couldn’t get in the room had to have the staff get us back in. The bed was decent, two pillows make one nice one. Never had an issue but the clientele’s iffy. We stay every year but after this year might have to rethink it. We just need a shower and a bed so the price is right. The staff was nice.

The room smelled like a smoker lived in it for the last 20 years. Even Odoban could not take the smell out and I’ve never had that happen before.

There were spider webs and spiders on the walls, the rug in front of the door was soaking wet, it stunk like mildew, black mold growing in the bathroom, bugs flying around. The walls looked like they were melting from water damage behind the walls. Dirty walls and doors and flooring.

Very cheap. Allowed pets. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning was pretty good. Pool looked fine. No fridge, microwave in lobby. Lots and lots of drinks in the soda machines. Ice machine worked. Beds didn't have blankets just sheets lol but they gave me one blanket.

The rooms were very clean at least my room was. My partners room had a broken chair and the room smelled like a dog but they happily changed his room. The employees were really nice and accommodating. Unfortunately their pool was out of service that was the sell feature of my booking the room.

The guy at the front desk was quick after the onsite security went and got him. The room was humid and smelled pretty musty. Everything including the sheets felt wet. I slept on my own blanket after eferything felt wet and smelled.

For the most part the room was clean but we got in late and realized in the night that the toilet leaked all over the floor. They offered us a reduced price on our next stay.

“Non smoking” room smelled like smoke. Second room smelled like pee. Cat in next room howled all night. Place was filthy. Stains on bed, dirt and hair in bathtub.
This was after being given two rooms: one didn’t open and the other didn’t latch shut. Very unsafe, disgusting place

Ehh, you get what you pay for here. I've stayed in much, much worse places. Generally it was comfortable, but the small blood stains on the side of the bed sheet and the (potentially) painted over blood stain on the wall was a little gross. The motel complex was dirty and rundown, but the room was largely fine and comfortable enough for sleeping in.

It was such a bad experience security was a joke my room card deactivated every day and my room almost got ran through at 2am by 2 men knocking on my door with backs turned and when asked what they were doing when they were walking away they kept walking and got in there car and drove off!

The Motel is the worst motel I have ever stayed in in my life of 60 years.. There were people living in their cars in the parking lot. There was drug dealer next door. (people going in all hours of the night). The motel must be a motel for homeless. Grocery carts of peoples personal items coming in and out. We had no fridge. he floors were so dirty you would have to wipe your feet down. The front door was broken down so many times it didnt close. The sink spayed waster everywhere. There was loud fight in the room above at 2 am on of the nights and we need to be up at 4 am for entrance to a car show. I have a reservation for the Motel in Iowa , I may cancel our reservation due to our experience in Minnesota.

Was concerned about the safety of the place and the noise, but first was good and 2nd was overall quiet.

This property did not feel safe. Our flight was delayed and we got there at 2a.m. The person at the desk was not welcoming. A couple of people were milling around the outside of the hotel which has all outdoor entrance doors. It was designated a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke in the room. Maybe rooms next door were smoking rooms? I'm not sure. I know it's an older hotel and in need of updating and repair. It was inexpensive, so not over-priced, but I would not stay there again.

This property gave us a bad vibe from the moment we drove into the parking lot. People lurking around staring at us as we pulled in and went to the office to check in. Families feeding their young children on the outdoor staircase. Families sitting in their cars for hours with blaring noises coming from them. All of the exterior doors had dents and scuffed paint, showing they had been beat on at some point. The outdoor pool was unavailable and was a murky green color-I booked specifically because I wanted a pool. Upon entering the room, it had a stench of smoke, that WASNT from cigarettes. There were light bulbs that were burned out and the door seal had light showing all around it. When leaving the room, we attempted to shut the door and had to finagle it to shut. We felt so unsafe and dirty being there that we checked back out within two hours of checking in. We will Never recommend this Motel 6.

Property is very run down. My bathroom door wouldnt close because the upper hinge screws had pulled out of the door jam. You could see the outside around the entry/exit door into the room. Warm at best water.
