We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel! It was a beautiful property with direct beach access and gorgeous views. We will definitely be staying here again. It was also pet friendly and our dogs enjoyed the trip as well.

Loved the spacious room for our family, the free breakfast with made to order omelettes was excellent, the location right on the ocean with beautiful pool area and outdoor seating, the yoga on the lawn - just a beautiful, relaxing place to stay!

Great location, very clean hotel. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again. The free breakfast was very good too.

hotel if very nicely decorated. Our first impression was good but check in not so great. The front desk people seemed to be busy and no eye contact and he never he told us where our room was so we wandered around for a bit - no mention of how to get wifi or much else. Like "here you go". But the wait staff was lovely and very attentive. Loved the beach bar and night cap at Rhum. Breakfast this AM was very yummy.

The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location right on the beach. The only slight negative is that the bar has last orders at 9.30pm during the week even if you’re residents, and there was no where other than the outside pool bar to get lunch on our last day.

I've stayed at this property 3 times. It's a fantastic get away for us, as we live in Jacksonville. The amenities at the property are great (manager's reception, breakfast), as is the natural environment (right on the beach). When at all possible, I will select an Embassy Suites due to the large and functional floor plans. Finally, it rained during our visit and we had to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner. While that's not usually my top choice, we had what is surely the best bread and butter combo I have ever had. The most amazing artisanal butter concoction I have ever had. Treat yo self.

It’s a beautiful and comfortable hotel. Although we had terrible weather, the hotel stay was very nice.

I read the reviews after booking and was concerned. I don't know what hotel the guests with negative reviews were staying because this hotel was fabulous. From our greetings from valets, to the front desk staff checking us in, to the bartender and breakfast staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The hotel is gorgeous. I live in the Hilton Head Island area, so I know what a nice hotel on the beach should look like. The convenience to the amphitheater (1.5 miles away) to downtown (2 miles) and the pier are great. The beach was gorgeous and quiet. The Manager's reception with complimentary cocktails was gracious and we enjoyed it before seeing Crowded House at the amphitheater. We had a great dinner suggestion from a valet as well.

It was a great time! Parking is a bit much at 40.00 per night, and the “resort” tax of 22 per day, but we will still come back! It’s is a beautiful resort with great restaurants with in walking distance!

The hotel and services were great. We enjoyed the breakfast and the service that was provided by the staff was stellar. We also enjoyed the complimentary bar service and snacks that were provided for a limited time nightly. The pool was great and provided easy access to the beach. We had a great time at the Embassy Suites.

Expedia doesn’t seem to report that this property has mandatory vallet parking and the charge is $39/day.

I was very skeptical about our stay here after reading some reviews, but I had already booked it. The hotel lobby is beautiful and modern with great lighting and multiple comfortable sitting areas inside and out. The pool is large, clean and had plenty of loungers available during our stay. We were served sandwiches at the pool that were delicious. It was wonderful to be pampered in this way. The room we stayed in had a very loud air conditioner, kept us up all night so they moved us into another room immediately the next morning. We did pay for an ocean front room, but we saw no ocean from the room they moved us too. It was our 30th anniversary we were celebrating, but we were happy to be in a quieter room, so we didn’t question it. (But should have). Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Reception hour was a nice perk. The valet parking charge is silly. It would be better if they put that charge in the room charge so you didn’t feel like you were paying $40/night just to store your car and go nowhere. And remove the tacky sign out in the front that reminds everyone how much they are paying. Other than that we did love our stay here and would go again but demand to see the ocean if that’s what we pay for.

Exceeded expectations. The pool directly leading down to the beach was perfect & the vibe in the hotel was a relaxed vacation atmosphere accomodating all needs.
We will be back.

Construction on the beach was not convenient.

The rooms were great. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast. Our complaints are the beach was under construction and the walk to get there was inconvenient and no one told us about this prior to our stay so we could decide if we wanted to contend with that.. When we would return from the beach the pool tenants made us take our cooler all the way to the room before we could enjoy the pool. It was mandatory valet parking which was inconvenient as we were in 2 vehicles.

The property is gorgeous and has great potential. The inside staff was great. The lobby is beautiful and clean. The lobby restroom needs work. The pool is gorgeous. The outside seating not near the pool area is old and wet. The valet is a bunch of young adults in the evening and I believe they used our car to hang out. There was sunscreen on my seat, chair pulled from the back, and an odor. The room was disgusting. At first it appears okay, but it has a fungus infestation and there are gnats everywhere. Under the sheets, the lamp shade, the sofa, and everywhere in the bathroom. There was hair and a blood stain on one of my sheets. I believe that because we were only staying one night they didn’t bother to clean. The ocean view room isn’t worth it because it is too far to enjoy, so save your bucks.

The pictures shown on Expedia were in accurate. Photo shows a balcony and ocean. Upon arrival, we were given a room that had no balcony and view of parking garage. For $400 for 1 night, would have expected more. When discussing with front desk, they had no desire to and said we were not their customer, we are expedias customer so would have to take matter to them. Was told we could upgrade room for $130 making this over $500 for 1 night. We decided against this and called Expedia to discuss options. Expedia did provide a $50 credit but could not provide us with room shown in picture. We decided to walk downstairs to take offer of upgrading for $130 up charge. We were then told rates went up and it would now be over $425.. making this almost $1000 for 1 night. We travel often and even the Omni doesn’t charge this high of a rate… ridiculous!!!!! Would expect amenities to have higher quality.. would not recommend! Take your money somewhere else or Airbnb.

Didn't like the fact that they were rebuilding the beach while we were there.

The Embassy Suites Hotel was beautiful inside and outside. We loved the location right on the beach. Everyone was super nice at the hotel. The service was excellent. My daughters and I ate a few times at the Cantina Bar next to the pool and the food and drinks were yummy. Our breakfast was delicious every morning and I loved that it as included in our hotel stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I made this reservation due to the view, and proximity to the beach. When we arrived, the beach was under construction and the access was quite a walk for someone with mobility concerns. When we checked in, the person behind the desk barley made eye contact and the personality of a wet mop. In addition, sitting in the pool area all we could hear was the constant beeping of construction equipment all the way up until dinner time. There wasn't a heads up on the website regarding the construction, which is unacceptable. We left early and had to find public beach access.

currently they are replenishing the sand on st augustine beach. this should be completed some time in september. this area is currently happening in front of the beachfront property, the hotel does a great job of providing beach access that allows you to get to the water. The noise was the most bothersome as it was all hours and killed the beachfront wave noise on our balcony and pool area. rooms are well worn but outside facilities are kept in decent shape.

We had a wonderfully relaxing end of summer family getaway in Saint Augustine Beach. We love the amenities which include easy access to the beach with chairs and umbrellas available. The pool is beautiful and it’s really nice to have the bar/restaurant at the pool. The complementary breakfast was Delicious and had lots of options, including made to order omelettes. I also really enjoyed the rocking chairs around the fire pits. All in all, this is a fantastic location and we will definitely be back.

It is a large and beautiful resort. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The restaurant staff was very nice, even with a party of 23 next to us. The restaurant food was excellent though pricey. The hotel seemed understaffed/overworked. Like the staffers seemed weary. The hours at the restaurants seemed spotty. At one point, we wanted lunch at 2:00 and nothing was open because it was lightning, so the pool restaurant closed but the staff didn’t open up the bar & grill. It didn’t seem well managed.
