The price they expedia charged was 125 usd per night. The price will be less 50 for this kind of property

Upon arriving, the desk staff couldnt be bothered to get off his phone till he was done with his video to help us. The room was on par with other hotels, nothing special. But, when we arrived back after eating, the ONE key that did work now didnt. Went to the office to have it fixed and instead of just fixing the issue he felt compelled to blame me...told me I must have put it next to my cell phone, and then even had the audacity to ask me if I knew how to use it while he demonstrated in an imaginary electronic lock for me.

Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom needs updating and there were only 2 towels and 1 washcloth for a two bed room with two people staying in it. breakfast was limited.

Air conditioner did not cool very well. Lots of noise from other guest parking lot was roped off

The smell upon walking into the room was Vick's vapor rub to cover up a crime scene bodily fluids and overwhelming cigarette smoke. Our clothes in suitcases smelled of smoke after getting home and they had been in our car all day. As I made a joke to my family that at least there weren't any cockroaches, a small brown cockroach literally crawls across the bathroom wall, but at least it had an escape route through the hole busted in the bathroom door. Never again will I stay at a Super 8. The light was on, but there wasn't even a coin slot for a vibrating bed :( I will say the packet of oatmeal and hot water to go were appreciated before move in day at VT.

The breakfast selection is quite limited. Atmosphere way too noisy at night and when I asked to switch rooms it was even more noisy. The people running the hotel were very hospitable, but this motel caters to workers not Va Tech families. Location of hotel to school was close, a plus. Rooms have holes in walls and doors.

The sheets had blood stains on them, the person who checked with in was rude, the coverlet had cigarette burns on it, and even though it said it was a non-smoking room, the room made my clothes smell of smoke.

Location is pathetic, no worth the stay.

This was my second time staying at this property. It is a low price motel so my expectations were basic. For both stays, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the A/C worked. During the first stay, the light switch in the bathroom would only work after flipping it on and off several times which was a bit concerning and there were some minor things - the handle of the sink coming off, the back of the remote not matching the actual remote so it wouldn't hold the batteries in, the tray in the microwave not matching the microwave so that it wouldn't spin - but not the end of the world. For this second stay, I was VERY concerned that the door appeared to have been forced open at some point so that the door stop in the wall had been pushed through the drywall and the door mounted deadlatch was no longer fully mounted on the door frame. This made the room feel unsafe. The TV didn't work and the wi-fi was spotty at best. As I only needed a place to sleep for about 6 hours before getting back on the road and was too exhausted to switch rooms or find another place to stay, I just made the best of it. But I'll look elsewhere for a place to stay the next time I pass through the area.

Room was clean, however the AC unit was too noisy to sleep with it on and the bathtub did not drain properly. But for the price, this was to be somewhat expected. O.K. for an overnight stay of last resort.

Overall good hotel to stay while transiting

This motel is a great value. The floor in the room was wood laminate and very clean. We like to walk in our socks when indoors and often have to either resort to slippers in motels, or wash the floor ourselves. Not at this Super 8. The bedding was hotel grade and the beds very comfortable. No issues in the bathroom. We appreciated the continental breakfast with waffels, bread, jam, cereals, and a choice of juice, coffee and tea. The breakfast nook is cute.

Shower had been repaired with black electrical tape…..water spurted everywhere. Otherwise clean, quiet and good price

clerk asked me to pay im advance, why? mold in shower curtain big health concern, my personal towel was taken during room service. but i was credited for it. noisy out side. towels were rough and not enough. air vent in bathroom broken. none smoking room smelled bad oders.

Overall room was Clean. However, the floor was Dirty, not mopped recently and the towels were dirty in appearance. Spots, stains of dirt or something on every towel. Staff is nice, everything else was Great!

Quick easy checkin and all rooms are on ground level, which makes luggage moving easy.

Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Room was clean and neat, comfortable bed and clean well stocked bathroom.

The only issue was that the pool was closed for the season and the manager said something about snakes but it made no sense that it would cause the poll to be closed indefinitely. Other than that the room was nice and clean. It smelled like bleach and cleaning products as soon as you walked in. The bathroom was clean too. The breakfast was basic....waffles and cereal.juice and milk and coffee. But definitely worth the price. I was going for the pool so when it wasnt open that put a damper on the trip but still overall a nice spot

Very clean smelled bleach as doon as soon as i opened the door. We were disappointed because the pool wasnt working and neither was ice machine...everything else was perfect

We walked in, stayed in the room for ten minutes, and left to find another hotel. Room was dirty, smelled of cat urine, and there was a hole in the wall near the bed that terrified my children. Having two asthmatic children, we could not stay. Front desk didn’t seem phased regarding our complaints, did offer to put us in another room but after that experience and the carelessness of the staff, we left. Ended up having to pay 170$ instead for a different hotel all to attend a funeral. Was not the best experience and would not be returning. Will also not be using hotels.com again either. After speaking with someone from hotels.com regarding this issue and a refund, I was told that they needed to speak with management in the morning and get back to me. Still haven’t heard a thing so I guess I’ll be losing my 70$ for a ten minute stay. Pay for the better room/area especially if you’re traveling with children. Just my opinion.

Overall, an ok place to stop for the night. The door lock was broken and the towel rack fell off the wall as soon as we tried to get a washcloth. But it was fairly quiet and the beds were comfortable.

My bath was huge, I loved it. Would absolutely stay again.

This is a quaint little cabin themed (exterior) motel. Cute little porches and such.

This is the best place friendly people always stay here out of the ones we have stayed at there till we found this place now only place we will stay at and pet friendly also

Out of a movie. The worst Super 8 i have ever seen. The parking lot looked like long term container trailer parking and the reception was unbelievably messy. I am not fussy but i didn't even pass the entrance and waited for a refund to book somewhere else.

I’ve stayed here many times and I just love it. Great price and clean wonderful rooms… Diamond in the rough. You’ll be glad you stayed here.
