I traveled on my own as a women over 55. The resort was lovely. Exactly what l wanted great pools and an ocean right at my feet. Plenty of choice for meals & Happy hour was a great way to finish a day off by sitting and looking out at the ocean each night listening to music from a local singer and there guitar. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged serval tours for me which were excellent. I felt very safe during my stay. My time at the resort was wonderful and l look forward to returning 🌴🍸♥️🌸

It was a lovely hotel. Limited dining options near hotel but they were close by. A lot of damp given air conditioning v humidity. So sad about trash that washes up on beach.

The property is very big so different people would experience different things if you stay on the beach front units you get a lovely view of the beach and sunset if you stay around the kids pool there are fantastic amenities for the children. Overall it’s a great location and Private beach.
Very easy to get transport into town

We were pleasantly surprised by this resort. We had no idea how large it was. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The kids play pools and activities were loads of fun. Everything was very clean. The best stay I’ve ever had in Thailand.

Absolutely loved our stay at Katathani. A little slice of heaven. Clean, plenty of pool options, beautiful beach, great facilities, wonderful friendly staff for the most part. We only had breakfast included for our stay, which was amazing, and ventured out for most dinners - very easy to do by the many Tuk Tuk’s in the street near the resort. We ate lunch poolside a bit, which was definitely on the expensive side but that’s to be expected inside the hotel.
My only slight flaw would be the massage and hair ladies poolside - quite grumpy, rude and not as accommodating as all of the other staff we encountered. It was like it was an imposition for us to be there. Other than that, very much recommend Katathani.

The employees are super friendly. The only disagreement I had was with the location of the room. They should specify that some rooms have a view of the city and not the garden, as my room said, so that one has the option to make a decision before reserving the room category.

Just got home from our first trip to Phuket! Yes it is a little isolated but we LOVED it! The hotel was lovely, breakfast was perfect, we felt safe, and transport was readily available. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a great stay and are already planning our next trip next year! Thank you so much

Overall a very good hotel.
Would I stay here again: maybe.
Very positive: besides the beauty, cleanness and excellent service, the hotel restaurants offer good options for all kinds of pockets.
Small problem, not very important: lack of imagination on the breakfast, too basic for this kind of hotel.
Most important problem: the dirtiness in the beach. Really unbearable! The hotel not should, MUST take care of the beach since is the most important advertising for staying here.

Check in process was chaotic, we were told to wait and with no follow up by staff. Inadequate resources to handle volume of people checking in and out. Hard to know where to check out as the only sign was in Mandarin Chinese.

Excellent stay, Friendly and accommodating staff.
Beautiful surrounding, Lovey beach.
Only drawback is the bad smell in the room. Sometimes it smells like you are sitting in a sewer.

the hotel is very crowded, not for a relaxed stay at all. if the only thing you want is a place for your kids to play, then book. Hotel is nothing outstanding, not worth for the money at all. beach is not private as they claim to be and its not well taken care with a lot of trash in the sand. Breakfast is a disaster, you will have to fight for food. Terrible experience.

The hotel room was amazing - spacious, balcony, and good shower. Close to Kata Night Market and the Kata Surf lessons. The only complaint is we got a quote from the hotel taxi service that it would cost 800 baht, but he day after when we needed the taxi, they charged us 1500 baht. We ended up taking a Bolt for 700 baht, so you should download the app and be cautious of overcharging from hotel

I liked everything about the hotel. If don’t like to visit there’s lots of activities at the hotel. Family friendly and I believe good for people with no children.

The staff were polite and friendly. The bar and restaurant facilities were great. The beach was covered in plastic washed up from the sea making clear up a thankless task. There was building work being carried out above and around our room and therefore debris in the swim up pool and terrace making it unpleasant to use and not worth the extra we had paid for this room. The air conditioning in the room dripped noisily but was fixed fairly quickly once we reported it. Not a 5 star experience unfortunately.

I was hospitalized and didn’t get to stay the property manager said he would refund the time not there you explained that you contacted them and they declined. They were the one that offered it . Disappointing

Loved everything about it. My wife is Thai and the only thing she didn’t like was the breakfast. It was definitely set up more for western breakfast

The pictures are very deceiving and the rooms look nothing like the picture. I would stay away from the deluxe room. The room was damp, dark, and just awful. The rooms are all very old and are not well kept. The staff are mostly friendly and the location is convenient since it is close to the beach.

We enjoyed the laid back vibes of this hotel. It was very “bach” like with lots of quirks like odd positioned plugs, strange shower layout that are not what we expected in a “newly renovated room”. However if you are a family travelling this resort would have everything you need. For us as a couple we found it difficult to relax with children diving and splashing in most of the pools so I would suggest elsewhere for couples. Breakfast was a let down unfortunately not to our taste but again would cover the basics for a family. Nearby beaches are beautiful, friendly staff and lovely security/crossing guards always greeted us with a smile. For a family travelling this would be perfect but for us as a couple we should have splashed out and stayed at the neighbouring adults only resort.

We were a family of four with 2 ocean rooms next to each other and had a great stay here. The rooms were large with a huge bed which could be split to make twin beds. A little on the hard side but they put a thin quilt on top to make it softer from the second day. I would say the rooms were dated somewhat and are in need of a refurb but to be honest everything is in the right place and with so much space and the view you forget about the old furniture and bathroom.
The pools were great and clean with plenty of loungers available. Bar staff, drinks and food were good - what I would have liked is for the staff to be walking around rather than having always to go to the bar but we were ok with this. The beach is on your doorstep which we loved, very clean and beautiful with security staff on hand at the hotel entrances. The only 2 negatives were that check-in felt rushed and our room at 6.45pm was not ready for about 15 mins. Also the buffet restaurant was not great quality food, breakfast here was not the best with limited veggie options and slow refils.
Just fyi we used 'Grab' taxis rather than those from the hotel - these were cheaper but we had to catch them up the road as the hotel / local drivers did not like the grab taxis. Overall an excellent stay but some little things could be improved.

The room looked outdated, the bathroom and restroom were the worst part. AC was loud and impossible to adjust. The breakfast place overlooks the beach and that portion of beach is filthy. You have to pay for the lounge chairs on the hotel beach. Lots of flaws for a hotel that is supposed to be in the upper tier. As a reference we stayed at Le Meridien Karon: beautiful and clean private beach, free lounge chair, rooms are super clean, price is similar.

Location on Kata Noi made for a relaxing stay. Mostly families, couples and singles, so no loud beach crowd. The beach was powdery white sand, the water inviting with 2 no-boat areas sectioned off for swimmers.
Quite an array for the complimentary breakfast. Staff easily assisted with day trips and activities. Housekeeping staff is the best, making sure guests have everything they need.
In addition to a gorgeous beach, there are a number of pools. Recommended!

While the property is pretty, we didn't have a very good experience there. It is very big so there is a distance to walk to places. We were disappointed in that we had booked an ocean front Jr Suite many months ahead but had very little view directly from our room. We had to go to the very side of room or on balcony to get the angle for a side view. I could tell upon arrival in the evening that we weren't looking out to the ocean but when I expressed my disappointment I was just basically told that it was night so of course we couldn't see the ocean but to wait for daylight! We were too tired from fighting their New Year's celebration traffic for 6 hours to do more at this point and they were sold out. The next day they were able to get us a much better view room but it took up quite a bit of our time to get transferred. Although we would have gone to the beautiful beach in front of the resort but there were caution signs about sea lice so we avoided that! Apparently it comes in at times. Unfortunately we did not notice the strong musty odor in this new room due to the air freshener just sprayed by housekeeping. By the time we did we were too unpacked to deal with yet another move so we put up with it. By the time we left things were just damp from all the humidity and many of our things musty smelling. We did not have the mustiness in the first room so not all are like that.
The breakfast was very good but open air so had flies. The other restauraunts were not very good.

I would’ve preferred to have the beach directly on the hot hotel side. Do you have to cross the street and it was unclear whether you had to pay for lounges and umbrellas on the actual beach?
