This hotel had a great location close to beach and nice pool. We had view of ocean, beautiful! Staff was friendly and efficient, room nicely decorated in nautical theme. We did not cook but there was electric stovetop in room as well as coffeemaker, microwave, and fridge. Also places to grill and tables near pool.

Checked in and was told plumbing problem and had to stay across the street. The room smelled, fan did not work, there was no AC in main room only in back bedroom, there were flys, outlets did not work to charge cell phones, people were drinking and partying loud until 2:15 am, it was an awful horrible experience and I will never stay at Cara Mara or Gold crest where they made me move again and gave no money off. Expedia should credit me some money. These are not resorts but 1 star motels.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Not gonna lie, because of limited photos we thought we were staying in a roach motel, but it was the complete opposite. Would book again.

I went for memorial day weekend with my sister. The staff were unprofessional. They even tried to get me to cancel my expedia booking and book through them for more money. Right upon arrival, they called me none stop and said they needed to move me to the property next door. I didn't knew what that was all about. When we arrived they said there was a "plumbing issue". They also claimed my debit card was declined when they tried to ran it...Although I did not get any declined notifications on my card either because of travel or any other security reasons. I am sure I had more than enough money for my travels. They wanted us to pay in cash. We were actually okay with that since it was going to be cheaper. Anyways, these people were sketchy. I am pretty sure they just had a random vacancy with the next door because the big family property booked the lot of the hotel, They also asked me inappropriate questions about my service dog. They asked me "what does your service dog do". Even though that is an illegal question to ask a person with their service dog. Told me the service dog can not go into the pool area even though it is a service dog. I know it was memorial day weekend but there was a loud family that stayed there. They partied late into the AM being loud and hugging up the pool. I liked that the location was nice between cape may and wildwood which we wanted. The parking was convenient with plenty of parking spots.

We stayed at Cara Mara several years ago. We decided to stay at Cara Mara again and were happy with how this property has been taken care of. We were not disappointed at all. The property and location is great. We will definitely be back again.

Fantastic, Beautiful and Serene! We are always greeted with a smile and a gracious attitude! Service is not a problem. It is accomplished spot on! I certainly enjoyed the Peace and Serenity!

There was always parking, the location wasn’t great we had to Uber everywhere. Nice for the beach. The place was nice and the maid restocked the room. Pool was nice also. No problems while staying there wld stay again

The Manager was absolutely pleasant! We had a 3 night 4 day stay in the “Penthouse” suit which was 2 bedrooms 2 bath, a kitchenette, and 2 living rooms. The space needs an absolute remodel. The beds only had bedsheets with no fitted sheets and while the beds were comfy, the comforter and sheets were not comfortable and spending just a tad extra time on this and the outdated furnishings would truly make a huge impact. The second thing is that there are 2 living rooms, which make zero sense the couches no one wanted to sit on

The hotel is located across from a park and a very short walk to the beach. It is an older modest property but clean. Problems: The WiFi signal was weak and intermittent. The refrigerator was not working. The AC (a wall unit) was loud.

Room was outdated. There were leftover trash bags and other items on the shelf that someone left behind. Outdated and needs to be painted. Our ceiling started leaking and the staff took our bedding off to replace it and the coverlet to be dried (not replaced). They never came back. The next day they asked how our stay was as if they had no recollection of removing our bedding and ceiling tiles. No offer to reimburse was mentioned during the evening or morning. My son slept on the bed with a blanket from home.

Fully updated two room suite tastefully decorated. Very clean , amazing views of the ocean. I was very impressed with the high quality of the room. Friendly staff. All around great stay at a great price. I will be back!

location is excellent . right by the beach ( small walk ) . Swimming pool and BBQ facilities although we didn't use. also 2 blocks away can rent bikes to ride on boardwalk . Loved our trip . There is a kitchenette small w electric stove with 2 rings, wall AC. Not many outlets or counterspace. But works.

I was told i was getting a room with 2 full beds and a pull out queen sofa for my teenage kids. When i arrived i was given a room with two double beds and a hard futon that no teen or adult would be able to sleep on my son was hanging out the bed and couldn’t sleep. I brought this to the front desks attention right after i checked in and they said that was the room they had. I was suppose to stay 2 nights after the first night we had to checkout and leave our mini vacation early. The hotel won’t even refund me the night i didn’t stay because of the room ! Very disappointed

We had wonderful stay. The only complaint I had was there was only air conditioner to keep the 2 rooms cool so you couldn’t close the bedroom door for privacy.
