A beautiful oasis in the middle of cool, artsy Arles!

This is not a 5 star property. Two specific gripes: One, no directions driving are provided to the hotel - excluding an email sent at 1PM the day prior to our arrival - so, one does not realize the google maps gps will attempt to get you to the hotel via a way that is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate with in a car. This caused us to accidentally damaged the rental car to the tune of $1400. Second gripe, there was a major photo expedition taking place in Arles which we were not told about when my wife inquired, when checking in, about going about town. Major disappointment; we would definately have gone. The quality of the linens was super poor. All in all, terribly disappointed.
The hotel we checked into after this one, also through Expedia, contacted us through whatsapp which is a much better way to communicate something as pressing as how to get to the hotel - which included completely counter intuitive instructions like going the wrong way on a one way street - in a better way than an email which I'm not screening while on vacation. If this second hotel could achieve this why not L'Particulier. Needless to say I was very disappointed with our choice.

Very small 10 room boutique hotel. Our room on the second floor was very comfortable with a minimalist decor. Outside of hotel very unassuming but enter into very peaceful courtyard with a pool and garden. Breakfast was excellent. No other meals served but lots nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our room had no electricity.. we were changed to a suite .. but the condition of suite .. little bit shabby for a 5 star hotel. The ambiance is very nice .. but the general state of hotel is below a 5 star rating . I think for one night we were the only customers. We were well taken care of.

Wonderful property with old world charm!

This an amazing courtyard property within the old city. The hotel is a boutique size and very quaint. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Especially Fatiha and Anthony. Don’t expect 5 star St Regis experience, this 5 star old-world France experience. We couldn’t be more grateful.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. I was disappointed they didn’t have a restaurant for lunch or dinner. That information should be available when making the reservation.

This property was exclusive and private. We were revived and taken to our room. We sat on the private patio and enjoy a beverage. Our room was large with vaulted ceilings and a wonderful spacious bathroom. The pool is great to take a dip in. Breakfast under the trees was tasty and beautiful. Wish we stayed longer.

I really love this hotel. Exquisite decor and gardens. There is a great afternoon tea with cake and fruit.
The staff were all so helpful and delightful. I was sad to leave this hidden gem.

We loved everything about this hotel — the staff, the walkability, the ambiance, the cleanliness, the aesthetic. It was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful serene property in Arles, just steps away from restaurants, the market and shopping. The rooms are clean, spacious and elegant. Wonderful place to stay if you're looking to relax and be well taken care of by attentive, friendly hotel staff.

Stunning hotel with lovely staff, beautiful room and delightful garden with pool (very welcome after a long drive or walk around hot Arles). Downsides are having to park half a kilometre away in paid street parking and a terrible WiFi service.

Absolutely amazing luxury boutique hotel in Arles. There are only 11 rooms and it is a bit hard to find if you are driving but it is well worth the stay. The staff is fabulous and so accommodating. They have a beautiful courtyard where you can relax, swim or have breakfast, and a very inviting den where they will make you a fire so that you can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening night cap. Every recommendation for dining and exploring that the staff made were perfect. We stayed in 6 different hotels during our 2 weeks in France and this was number one.

Hotel is great and service makes it seem like the entire hotel is just for you. Of the 3 hotels we stayed at (all 5 star), this one was the best overall. Only complaint was that the wifi on my phone seemed not to work most of the time.

Incredible staff and service. Reception was very helpful and provided recommendations for restaurants and offered to make reservations for us. This is a lovely hotel in a lovely city. The room was clean, white, and comfortable. The breakfast was welcoming and tasty. The courtyard was such a lovely space to relax and unwind. There are several lounge chairs and tables to enjoy the space. Definitely would book again.

We arrived late after spending an hour and a half trying to find the obscure tiny street on which l'Hotel Particulier resides, which no one in Arles seemed to have heard of. By then, most restaurants were closed but the incredibly obliging night staff upgraded our room and provided a delicious, if novel, dinner from the eccentric room service menu: including smoked salmon tidbits and truffled mash potatoes! All in all the hotel was an oasis of grace and calm in a charming ancient city, its garden a green and white delight, despite the fact that it's tempting pool--which staff claimed was heated--felt a bit chilly. When one of us needed a doctor, the staff swiftly obliged and we left with only happy memories, wishing we could have stayed longer.

An oasis of beauty, comfort and service in an old neighborhood close to everything in the old city.

Intimate, beautiful, cute. A very small hotel with a beautiful yard and cozy atmosphere. Centrally located - slightly hard to find by car (tiny streets). But overall the perfect romantic getaway.

Fine but thought it was over-rated so I was disappointed. I almost felt like I was being ripped off. I asked for two wine glasses so we could have a bottle of wine we had got on a winery tour and found that they had charged us 15 euros to borrow glasses! Just not my kind of place when I feel like I had already paid too much for the room. Their website does better justice to the rooms than the rooms themselves. It could have been amazing if they were more welcoming and warm. We stayed at several other places in Provence and did not have the same kind of "rip off the rich foreigners" feeling. Too bad - they need to adjust their attitude. Kind of like the really pretty girl in high school who is mean!

Room a little noisey. Needed extra draws for clothes. hotel service very good. Resturant food was excellent. Needs improvement in restaurant service.
