My 3rd time in Marrakec -Horrible experience!
1. We got a very small and very dark room with a small window facing some back ruins while our friends got a room which was twice bigger, brighter, with a nicer bathroom and view for the same price. When we approached the front desk lady to find out if she made a mistake she offered that we pay more for an upgrade instead of paying us back for a room that we obviously overpaid for. She also offered that we sleep outside on the rooftop if we are afraid of darkness. Her inadequate sense of humour and rudeness was through the roof.
2. On the last day we booked airport transfer which should cost 22 EUR for 1-4 people. She tried to charge us twice the amount because we were 4. Normally it’s the taxis that try to rip you off in Morrocco rather than hotels but In this case it was the other way around and we paid 15 for the taxi instead of 44.
3. The riad charged my bank card on the evening before check out without prior notice even if I specifically chose to pay at the property. I wasn’t asked whether I want to pay by cash or card or I if want to pay with a different card. Never happened to me before!
We didn’t feel welcome and nobody said goodbye when we left
Despite the horrible customer service the riad looked nice and is in a great area of the Medina (Kasbah) , walking distance from Jemaa el Fna , Les Bains the Marrakech and Saadien’s Tombs and La Sultana. I would not return to this riad though and don’t recommend it.

It was perfect. A gem in the middle of the Kasbah

The Riad is charming, we were welcomed so nicely and brought mint tea. Our room was spotless and comfortable and breakfast on the terrace was delightful with homemade bread and pancakes and freshly squeezed juice. The manageress is very knowledgeable and helpful and she made wonderful suggestions of where to go. We will be coming back.

A gem in the heart of Marrakech, traditional authentic riad with all the luxuries of a hotel. Service was great, breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is one of the more beautiful places Ive stayed. It has two courtyards, one with a pool and cabana and one with fruit trees and dining tables. It also has a rooftop terrace with day beds and a view of the medina. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and clean as well. It felt very relaxing and was an escape from the city around it (though, as I imagine would be the case of any place in the old city, we could hear people, birds, and some traffic from our rooms in the morning). There were a few small hiccups with the service (e.g., a dead lightbulb that never got replaced), but, overall, the service was great. The location is in the medina, but about a 20-30 minute walk from jemaa el fna and the souks. We didnt find that to be a problem though, and the hotel will call you a taxi if you like. Note that some sites say the hotel has parking, but you actually need to park in a public lot (20Dh/night) near the Bab Ksiba (about a 5-10 minute walk away).

The Riad is lovely but lacks a few little touches and is very dark ( needs more lights). Was very quiet ( apart from annoying and persistent cockerel). Finding staff to assist was difficult without obvious reception/bell? Breakfast was lovely.

My family booked three rooms in this riad, and all of them were spacious, clean and comfortable, with beautiful details. The staff was helpful and attentive when needed, but left us alone otherwise. A friend recommended Dar Karma to me, and I would definitely recommend it as well.
