The room was good and it was clean. My BIG disappointment was the shower. We had planned on getting back on the road early after my son and I took a shower. I showered first since I'm faster than him. The water pressure is great, but the drainage SUCKS!! By the time I finished my quick shower the water was up to my angles (about 4in. deep). Because of this lack of drainage, we had to wait about 30-40 minutes before my son could shower, then wait another 30'ish minutes to rinse the tube after his shower. For the price of this room I expected way better drainage.

After arriving and checking in I was given room keys. The room was in complete disorder, the beds were leaned up against the wall and the room was being used to store cleaning supplies and equipment. When inquiring for a new room I was informed there were no other rooms.

It's good price for a night stay in Jackson. Utilities are well equipped.

Our room had a missing smoke detector, the carpet, kitchen, walls, bathroom were old. The water in the tub drained slowly. Due to the proximity of a busy road, the room was noisy. We were able to hear conversations in the next room.

No tv for 2 days...poor plumbing, floors sank in bath area. We still stayed a 2nd night they said they would fix the tv. Not only did they neglect to do that, they rekeyed the licks and we were unable to enter our room after returning late and no staff on site. Backup measures were in place if you called and found the hidden key! Ugh, no discount given.

Check on was super easy, they were ready for me and had everything ready. The room was a very cute queen bed with a kitchen. The bathroom seemed to have an inward slant making me think I was drunk, which I was not. The laundry was literally in the basement where housekeeping does laundry. The laundry prices are higher than posted in the room, so take extra change if you must do laundry. A bit pricey for what we had, but I guess that's just the area

The Staff was amazing! For a 2 Star Hotel, I'm giving them 5 STARS. Jackson Hole is expensive! The Pony Express is located in the 4 Corners Junction. Teton Village is only 11 mile away, Albertson's is directly across the street. The rooms are upgraded, and remodeled, with nice kitchenette's and comfortable beds. The Pony Express has top of the line linens, toiletries, and facial quality kleenex and toilet paper = nicer than the Marriott and Wyndham chains. I would highly recommend this hotel, keeping in mind it's a 2-Star Hotel.

It smelled like menthol cigarettes and there was a decent sized beetle that ran across the floor that I killed and disposed of. It didn’t bother me personally but someone ought to know.

Very quiet for being so close to the road! Comfy beds. Nice shower head. Park in front of the door, if downstairs.

Very nice place that is expensive for the type of place, but cheap for Jackson, Wyoming.

It was a good stay , but hard to get in and out of the property

We didn’t have any issues with our stay but the motel is just outdated and expensive for what it was. Definitely didn’t feel like I was in a clean environment.

The room was nice but the area around the property needed some cleanup. There were old mattresses and stuff stacked in the hall outside our door and the dumpster was overflowing and surrounded with trash, it didn't look like it had been emptied in some time. It was a less expensive and convenient place to stay but could use some better upkeep.

convenient location but it’s old and stinks and needs a remodel.

I liked that there were bunk beds for each of my kids - they didn't have to share a bed!
I didn't like the location - difficult to get on and off the main road. Also the room needs updating and many things were left unplugged and I was left to figure out the tv cable hook up - as guest services were not there past 8pm. The 2nd night there, no one cleaned our room and our garbages were full.

Very nice and neat with full kitchen, fridge, stove and dishwasher all kitchen utensils. Everything u need to stay a few days. Beautiful town with McDonalds across the street. A little pricey for one night. Our bathroom was a little small and the water stood while showering, I would stay again.

Hotel was extremely dated, appeared to be clean. Laundry facilities for guests was very unacceptable with dirty clothes all over the laundry room musty and dirty clothes left in the washer and dryer and exposed to the employees break room where food with pans was left all over the place. There were no locks on the windows nor the door. Bathroom drain would not drain when you took a shower you would have to stand in a foot of water and wait approximately an hour and a half for the drain to drain. Would not ever stay there again $406 for a 29.95 room.

Lots of food left in the freezer and dirt pillowcases. However, the manager did take care of all of it immediately once he was notified. Floor was not level and a little run down but bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Overpriced but was fine for one night.

This motel is in a great location, could use some updating for the price.

Nice large 2 separate bedrooms

It was supposed to have a full kitchen. The microwave did not work and it was not fixed during our stay. The sink faucet was also about ready to fall off.

Good location. Staff friendly.
Very limited parking. Not the most up to date facility - floor was falling in in the bathroom, sheets ripped, old smelly carpet.

I liked the balcony even though the traffic at the busy intersection was loud. The air conditioning did not provide enough circulating air for entire space. Had to open a bedroom window as it was too hot and there was no screen. The bathroom trash was still full from last occupants. The pullout sofa was broken so had to remove mattress and put on floor. When we asked for additional pillows/blankets(not provided for pullout) the staff brought 3 but they had no pillowcases and two were stained. Aside from the busy intersection the location was close to town, the place was overall pretty comfortable and the staff was friendly. Although we did not use it the pool looked clean. The 10am checkout time I thought was a little early but we were headed out anyway. The place could definitely use some upgrades. But overall not terrible.

Convenient parking, walking distance to grocery store and a few restaurants.

Dirty, smelly Microwave, dirty bathroom sink, had to hold down lever to flush toilet, had to walk carefully on uneven concrete walkways

Jackson was amazing, the Pony Express Motel was not!! The room was alot smaller than it looked in the photos. The bed was so hard I resorted to letting my husband sleep in the bed, my 18 year old daughter slept on the top bunk and I slept on the bottom bunk. The bathroom was back in and sit down and the shower/tub had an insert that was not properly installed so when you stepped it moved like a water balloon would. The shower pressure was good though and the pool was very cool and refreshing. The staff, when I saw them, was nice but when the room was cleaned up the second day the beds were thrown together not really made and we did get fresh towels. Worst of all the entrance and exit to the property was almost impossible to get into and out of durning peak times. Overall I would not stay here again.

Way to pricey

The most disgusting room I’ve ever stayed in. The smell of mold was intense and the furnishings were broken and in disrepair. Shower curtain was so old it had multiple large holes in it. Unbelievably horrible. We booked for3 nights and left after 2. No wonder they have a no refund policy.

The pony express was a good place to stay. Our group first stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment over the pool, and then at the end of our trip in Wyoming we stayed in the family room with 1 queen bed and bunk beds. Our group collectively liked the cleanliness of the family room better than the 2bed condo. Although the condo was great, it didn't seem super clean like the family room. There was so much dust and our bed sheet didn't fit so we slept on the mattress each night bc it wouldn't stay on. The kitchen did have amenities that we needed and a big fridge. The staff was super friendly and let us chill by the pool while we were waiting for our rooms to be ready. It seems the Pony was the best priced in expensive Jackson Hole, which is why I give this a good review. I recommend this spot, but think the condo could have been cleaner!! Also the grounds could have been kept up a bit, but again - Pony had super friendly staff and the beds were super comfortable to sleep in. It worked!!

The Pony Express motel had a comfortable bed and 4 pillows!!! Even though the hotel was on the main road, it was quiet when we retired for the evening at 9:30. There was a gas station next door where we were able to get ice for our cooler and we walked across the street to eat at a cute place that had outdoor seating and great food and drink. The hotel had a pool that looked very inviting although we didn't use it. Not sure about the rest of the rooms, but If you are handicapped with wheelchair needs, room #5 is not for you. The bathroom was very, very small and narrow. There was no room to set anything on the counter with the sink and while washing my face my elbows almost touched the walls. The Kitchenette was well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal, but the handle was falling off the full size refrigerator and the kitchen faucet was very loose to the point of not wanting to use it for fear of it falling off. It had a large countertop with bar stools and there was a small table with only one chair so one of us had to sit at the counter to eat breakfast. The room did have air conditioning but it was loud. The price of the room was $409.00 with all the taxes included for a wednesday night, but I feel it was way over priced, but it is Jackson Hole and I think they thought the name was worthy of charging a high price. They need to spend some money on updates for sure. All in all it was not a bad experience at all, and everyone was super friendly.

Convenient location to downtown Jackson and Grand Tetons. Our unit was close to pool and nicely decorated.
The motel is in need of maintenance - inside and outside. Storage of extra mattresses outside of room in hallway. Roofing materials next to patio. There was no lighting outside of condo unit. Dark entry. Asked about it and it did not get fixed during our 2 night stay. No deadbolts for locking doors.

The hotel was very good value, located next to the Route 22 back route drive to the parks, so easy to avoid the crowded tourist area. Our room had the feel of a country cabin and was not upgraded. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and they reduced the fee for our two dogs. So taking everything into consideration I rate this a 10 (or maybe a 9.5) and would stay here again.
