Nice Lobby and location. Rooms are really dated and in need for refurbishment.
My room window could not close fully, send cold air into the room which was unpleasant this time of the year. Had to ask for a heater.
Service staff; other then 1 foreign lobby ambassador; could do with some training.

The location of the hotel was excellent and proximity to touristic places. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Minor hiccup during check-in process in the, but overall was ok. Breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment even though there were selection for the price. Only enjoyable food was the chocolate croissant. There is need to raise the breakfast buffet standard to an international level as a premium hotel. Would like to thank a female lobby ambassador staff for her hospitality.

This hotel is 100 years old and you can imagine when you step in how grandiose was in its prime. Today’s day probably needs a lot of touch ups to keep it up but still keeping that “old world” feeling. The room was very big and well decorated. The room had an interesting smell ( probably the wall paper and maybe the drapes should be replaced to freshen up the room)

Beautiful hotel. Grand old feel. Fantastic pedestrian street a block away with great food and shopping. Great service!

Hotel with old world charm, but badly needs a fresh coat of paint. It would’ve been grand in its hey days. Room was big. Location excellent. Cleanliness - needs improvement as room was dusty. The worse thing is, I found a cotton bud on the pillow and many stray hairs.

Last time I stayed it was excellent. This time they put me in old building. Rugs smelled. Entire old building no good. If you stay make sure they put you in new building. Breakfast was excellent however

Extraordinary hotel. I stayed in a heritage room, with a bedroom, a lounge, a bathroom, a shower room and a toilet.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
The building is historical and has lots of character.
Above all, staff is exceptional. Ksenia and Sky speak good English and took a very good care of me booking taxis checking opening hours and providing recommendations. Extremely good service.

Lovely hotel. Staff are really helpful. We only ask direction and they print a map out for us. Location is excellent, 2 mins walk to Wangfujing street with all the shops and restaurants

The facilities are well managed. Many staffs have been making efforts. But if you are looking for a true accessible room, this hotel may not be the best choice. Simple because the hotel was built prior to the consideration of the disabled population, the availability of accessible room is very slim.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The staff are great, especially the concierge who are help to make the trip as smooth as possible...
The only challenge is that the room (a heritage room in this case) was so warm. Seemed the air con wasn't working and only blowing forced air. Although the room had a balcony the door couldn't be opened to let cool air in. However, on the last day of the stay the air quality was so bad you wouldn't want the door open. Great place, just need to get the air con sorted......

Our stay at Beijing Nuo was fantastic. In particular, the staff made our time in Beijing easy to navigate and hassle free. We want to thank Luke Wang for being extraordinarily helpful in organising day trips for us from the hotel, and providing us with travel advice and tips. We also want to thank Sky for his expedient booking of taxis and concierge service. They have gone above and beyond. Would stay here again.

I chose this property mainly because of its historical and nostalgic ambience where early Chinese leaders had stayed or met foreign leaders. Despite the public areas of the hotel being well kept, the guest room looked tired with peeled wallpaper, chipped furniture, only rain shower and bath but not any hand-held shower. The room requires complete renovation to provide a comfortable stay experience.
The reception is terrible. We had prepaid our rooms which was confirmed at the time of check in, but when we checked out early in the morning at 5.30 am to catch our flight, the reception staff claimed that he could not confirm our prepayment with their Accounts Department at such early time and we were charged again. I wonder why our prepayment had not already been recorded in their system in the first place. This incident of double payment did not happen in the other four hotels we had prepaid for our entire China trip.
All in all, it was an unpleasant stay given the price we paid at AUD284 per night. My experience in the hotel destroyed my fond perception of this historical and nostagic property.

We stayed in the historical wing of the hotel and it was a very large and comfortable room (although very warm!), and the hotel is as close to the forbidden city as you can get (and has a metro station very close as well). The staff were friendly and the breakfast had plenty of options as well
8.0 / 10.0
It is v near to shoppong disyruct of wangfujin. It's like 5 mins walk to wangfujin train station. The hotle has two wings- the older wing faces the back alleyway. Rooms are bigger. Was told that the newer wing that faces changan street and rooms were renovated bwfore Covid-19. The rooms are smaller/ standard but probably might be newer. On the website yhe hotel premise looks huge and sprawling but I hardly see cored around. May not be a bad thing though. Oh yes, hotel wifi somehow is not secure and doesn't seem to work. Most tomes we had to switch ot off and used our data plan instead.

Beijing Nuo is a great hotel, location-wise. At walking distance from the amazing Wangfujing street and Tiananmen Square, delicious breakfast buffet, and an extremely helpful staff. I definitely would recommend the Nuo.

Pretty disappointed I would say, would say it’s a low 4 stars hotel. In room facility is running down staff has been trained as state owned hotel staff not international 5 stars won’t come again

Requested for non smoking but to the contrary, whole room filled with smoke smell
All basin and toilet bowl, choked
Slow cleaning, late checked in
Old hotel, not worth price
Front desk staff friendly but not helpful
Location is ok, walking distance to metro & wangfujing

Convenient hotel close to Tiananmen. Interesting hotel to stay if you like history. Although recently renovated it is showing signs of wear and tear.

close to the major shopping area. The Internet WiFi is bad
8.0 / 10.0
The hotel is in the best location possible, being extremely close to Wangfujing shopping street, restaurants and Forbidden City. My tour guide said it is one of the oldest hotels in the city and used to host important guests, and it shows in the service of every single staff member. They all speak very good English and were really helpful, special mention to the concierge and breakfast team who were super attentive in their service standards. The room is spacious, clean with a very comfortable bed. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the weak wifi signal, I needed to restart a few times for it to work and sometimes it didn’t work at all during blocks of time. Wifi is too important in a place like China especially since I was roaming, I hope the hotel fixes this soon.

Beautiful historic hotel, right in the center of everything. Bucket list places of historic significance + amazing restaurants + great shopping all within walking distance. The service, cleanliness, and condition of the hotel were top notch. When we visited, the pool and one of the restaurants were temporarily closed but the 1st floor restaurant was filling in, and there were other choices within walking distance.
