I stayed here for 4 days alone. Good service and nice people staying there to. You got everthing you need and more!

It was the second time I booked in this hostel and I really like it. It’s near the city centre, Royal mile and the Edinburgh’s castle. The team is very cool, the breakfast is good and full of choices. I recommend it!
3.7
I stayed for a night in a 6-room ensuite. Everything was clean and tidy with a good view of the Waverly station. No complaints.
3.7
Booked a 12-bed dorm and paid extra cause the photos showed the bunks to be 2 levels. In reality, there are THREE.
They are extremely precarious and uncomfortable.
Website and photos needs to be updated.
Location is excellent though. Across the street from train station and block away from airport bus.

Great hostel in a very nice and convenient location. Staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean. My only issue was that the bathroom closest to my room I shared had a poopy clogged toilet left for 2 days and it was gross and smelly and I forgot several times so had to keep seeing it. Should be taken care of much sooner. Also that bathroom had no soap to wash your hands with for 2 days, I was only there for 3. Hand soap in the bathroom is a MUST, without me having to go grab my shower body wash.

In our first stay in Edinburgh in a hostel, we found the experience at St. Christopher's Inn very enjoyable!! The views outside our room were incredible and appreciated the walkability and safety we felt throughout our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I had a phenomenal time here, very amicable, helpful and great located! I definitely recommend this hostel if you're looking for a place to lay your head down, take a shower and keep going . Great breakfast for only 5 pounds ! You can ask them about any information of the area! Phenomenal!

Great location but terrible place. Dirty and small. Simple as that. Breakfast not bad
3.7
Rooms are too small, luggage handling in the rooms is a hustle.
3.7
Really appreciate the on suite bathroom, best hostel ive stayed in (room 21)
3.7
Quite nice, comfy

I was in the girls dorm and it felt safe. I saw multiple cameras and locks on the way in. The lockers were a nice size. You need to bring your own lock but I was able to fit my carry-on, my backpack, and my 2 tote bags and I still had a bit of space.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location!

Lovely hostel in heart of Edinburgh

While the location is a 10/10 and the price was fairly okay, our expectations on cleanliness were definitely not met. The whole reason I booked was for the cleanliness compared to other hostels, but the private room we booked had a number of questionable substances stuck to the wall, and the private bathroom was def not cleaned very well.
When we tried to check out early, we were met with a lot of hostility from staff for loosing a key card.
I would recommend staying in a bordering neighborhood instead if you want a quality stay for less dough.
We ended up staying in Lochrin instead paying less at Premier Suites Edinburgh Fountain Court. Sure, I wasn’t 2 seconds from the royal mile anymore, but the 15 minute walk from our new stay was really lovely, and I found pieces of Edinburgh I completely fell in love with that I would have otherwise missed.

The place is okay and conductive

It's a hostel. So it means you have to expect what a hostel can offer. I thought booking a private room would have been different. Private rooms were located at 5th floor and the very slow lift arrives only at 4th. Door lock was out of service from inside, shower was cold, even turning the handle to completely hot, and overflooded the pavement (but they provide the magic broom to clean it). Cleanliness was not good, I found a candy on the floor (so nobody swept it). In the end room was essential for a one night stay (considering I couldn't had a shower), bed very comfortable and view amazing. The precious thing is location: close to the station and in the very heart of the city.

Great day

I did choose this property for my Solo trip to Scotland especially because was central, literally 15 mins walking from every location I did plan to visit.
3.7
Friendly staff , brilliant location , 200 metres from the train station
3.7
The worst hotel ever! I was staying for one night and in the middle of the night the electricity went out! Some people were even stuck in the elevator! We had to call the fire department to get the people out of the elevator! Also the room stinks like mad!!
3.7
Amazing location and many options for drinks and food

Staff support was great

I was about to leave my luggage but one of the staff says that they can store the luggage but there’s a fee and I told him that I don’t have cash and I will not be too long I just need to buy something and the storage accept only cash and he directed me to the train station but when I supposed to leave I saw him accepting luggage from other guest for free.
The place was dirty and they don’t have soap and shampoo in their showers. There’s a lot of areas that needs improvement. I’ve stayed in two St Christopher hostel before and this is the worse experience that I had.

Was a decent place and served the purpose as a place to stay
3.7
Very centrally located with knowledgeable staff and cleaned regularly

Great staff, comfy bed and clean toilets. Alan was great at the social parts and setting things up
3.7
Great spot and location!
3.7
This was a great location for our family on the tail end of our Scotland trip. Close to everything. Friendly staff. Clean family room with private bath.
3.7
You have to pay for the lockers
3.7
Open ended check in time means people are coming in at all hours so sleep is impossible. Parking on the street is limited and nearly £7 an hour. Only one washer and dryer as the other two are labelled “out of order” so staff can use them to wash towels and then leave the piles lying everywhere in the laundry. Chill out room was not an option- stank so bad I was nearly sick.
Group in the female only room next door came in at 1:30am laughing and talking in the hallway. They were in their 40-50s so should have known better. They also had a man staying with them even though it was the female only section.
Only good thing about the place is the proximity to landmarks- could walk to everything.
Definitely will not be staying again.

Location of the hostel is absolutely perfect for exploring everything in Edinburg. The guys at the reception were cool and friendly. Dorms were clean and well-organised and despite having 18 beds it didn't feel too cramped or crowded. Personal lockers provided inside the dorm as well as ensuite toilet and shower in addition to the communal ones. Beds have small shelf, reading light and USB-outlet which did not work in my bed though. All in all very good hostel and a very pleasant stay.

Overall nice loud hostel but not too loud has privacy curtains.
3.7
I liked the property but everyone needs kitchen... stove burner something... to cook ...
3.7
I like the bar and restaurant.
I enjoyed the warm welcome from the staff.
3.7
Great location right in the old town. Had everything you need for travelers who need a hostel.
3.7
No cleaning. Bad conditions. Dirty and tiny room with 3 beds per row.

No one smiles in this place, you come the right place in St Christopher inn Edinburgh if you want to experiment what it’s like to live in genuine 17th century experience. It’s a shame there was no real kitchen or good spaces to relax or meet other travelers. the first floor chill out place/locker room has a microwave and a small full of rotten food fridge in the corner, no sink, no toaster, no Stove, and one single sofa chair for 4 floors hostel.
I stayed in a six beds mix room with a bathroom, The upper corn of my bed had a spider web. The WIfi doesn’t work on my iPad. The hostel most rooms faced busy street, the noise can be bad, The elevator works sometimes, it doesn’t closed properly, it doesn’t stop if you need to go down between floors, you have to go up in order to go down.
The locker has an old mechanical lock, the guest have to provide the middle size lock in order lock the locker, and it is very hard to operate, I saw my roommate spent a half hour on trying to lock his locker. The room locker is so small, You have to pay £2.50 for a small 20 inch carry on luggage in a room with lockers (free at other hostels in Edinburgh). I don’t know why the cleaning crew came in to empty the trash can at 10:30PM one night during my stay.
The bathroom was filthy and disgusting. I informed the reception about it in the morning and when I returned late evening nothing had been done about it. I informed the reception again, two cleaning guys shown up, I had to shown them where

Staff were great and super friendly. Quite expensive for what the rooms are but that’s mainly because it was the Fringe featival. The puppy was a bonus!
3.7
Very small room. Had to duck in most of the room since it had a slanted ceiling. Shower was very moldy.
