We stayed for only a few days, but had a great time. They have the best breakfast ive had in a long time. Rooms are clean and cozy. Some rooms have barn doors on the bathroom (I'm not a fan). Quick walk to Walter's Basin restraunt, which is fun to sit at outdoor bar and watch the boats. Hotel is located near Meredith bay and Lake Winnipesaukee. Would definatley stay again.

The B&B is a beautifully maintained property. Charming decor. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Very close to the various lakes and the white Mountains. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was provided and was excellent too. Recommend the Inn highly. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Squam Lake Inn. Check in/out were both simple, there was ample parking (off season and the restaurant wasn’t open so this may change in the high season), and our room was very comfortable. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and were so pleased with the atmosphere. There is a lovely coffee bar and book shelf with some games. Breakfast was delicious, hearty, and the coffee was hot and fresh. I would make a point of coming back here and preferentially booking B&Bs elsewhere now based on our experience.

Amazingly cute place. Clean, well-appointed and comfortable room. It would be nice if breakfast can begin at 7 AM, not 8 AM. There was a party when I arrived in the evening. Lots of laughter and merriment and for some reason, around 9 they moved very close to my room and it was hard to hear anything else. At 9:30 pm I texted the Inn to see if there was a time when it would all end (I was expecting 10 or 11 PM would be the answer.) And wiithin minutes the group was gone. I felt a bit guilty, but as I was exhausted, it was great to be able to finally fall asleep. Perhaps if I were more of a night owl, and got a later start in the day, I would have nothing but wonderful memories of Squam Lake Inn. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone without a schedule or who doesn't have an early start the next day.

It’s a lovely inn, only drawback is there’s only one thing on the breakfast menu each morning (which surprised me because there is a full menu for dinner). I didn’t like what was in the menu either day and the waitress told me I should have let them know about my dietary restrictions beforehand, but I don’t have dietary restrictions, I just don’t like that they were serving. It would have been nicer if she said something like, “we could make you an egg!” Other than that everything was perfectly nice there. I was especially impressed with how new the bathroom was for this type of hotel!

This is a gem near Golden Pond.Loved the tasteful decor (woodsy without kitsch), warm knowledgeable proprietors, delicious food. Are the rooms small ? Yes, its a New Hampshire country inn. But in the end did we receive a room with a large bed, wonderful bedding and modern appointments (working wifi most of the time) and delicious homemade cookies on the desk? Yes! The food for both breakfast and dinner was truly superior. Great wine list. Terrific wait service. Cannot wait to return.

The Inn is fantastic and if you are able to also eat at the restaurant during your stay it is a real added treat. The Inn is within walkable distance to a market, restaurant and marina and hiking and a nature center a just a bit farther away. Great breakfast!

The place was charming and comfortable. The name is misleading as we thought we were staying at an Inn right on Squam Lake. It is not on the Lake and there is not even a public beach for lake access. This was very disappointing!

We loved staying at this inn. The rooms were on the smaller side, but because it is an Inn, and not a hotel, that is what we were expecting. The bed was super comfortable. The bath towels were nice and thick. They even supply robes for you. The breakfast was delicious, and if you can time your stay when the dinner restaurant is open be sure to eat there. It was delicious. The service at this inn was wonderful. My spouse and I enjoyed the afternoon cookies that they set out. There is great hiking around and Squam Lake is beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and the Squam Lake Inn is no exception. A beautiful setting, comfortable room with all the fine details taken care of. We were welcomed by Molly who showed us to our room and gave us great info on places to visit. The room was a little small but beautiful and very, very cozy and quiet. We had dinner in their restaurant that night and we couldnt have been any happier with a table on the porch, candlelight, delicious food and very attentive service. The breakfasts were healthy and a great way to start the day exploring the region. We could go on and on about the Squam Lake Inn and all that it offers but wed just keeping repeating ourselves.

Picked this hotel at random at a convenient stopping point on our tour of New England. What a lovely find! May not look very distinctive from the outside (drove past it twice) but well worth the effort. Holderness is not large but there are plenty of walks in the area and trips on the lakes. Squam Lake Inn is close to all of these. Very friendly and obliging staff, good bar and a great restaurant serving imaginative "specials". It made no pretence at being a large slick hotel but is a well run family hotel offering cosy comfort. One that we remember with fondness and would certainly recommend (and return to).

Do not trust Sat Nav! Gets you to the right road but wrong house! We had to procedure about half a mile to find it. Warm welcome and as it was about 6.00 they sorted out a table for a meal. Lovely evening meal and good breakfast the next morning. They were closed for evening meal on Monday evening so had to go down to the village - that was good too.
