This property has been great for two stays now and the staff is awesome! The construction is kind of distracting, but the progress is good. I was a bit disappointed that they are removing the gas fireplaces during room updates, but I do understand the safety aspect. This is definitely a property that embraces the past era it represents and in that way creates it’s charm.

We spent 3 nights at this charming older property. The Mizzentop building only has rooms facing the harbor and a direct view of Bar Island and the Porcupines. The Great Room has its own bartender and there was a piano player for entertainment every night. Cute gift shop in the lobby and multiple coffee stations. Never got to the indoor pool/hot tub but wish we had.

Cute but dated hotel. Thin walls in rooms. Beautiful view of the ocean

The hotel part of the Bluenose Inn was a perfectly acceptable place. It is dated, but pleasant. The view from our room was wonderful, the bed wasn't the best, but not horrible. The place was very clean. The whole vibe is very 1960s....but that isn't bad.
The horrible part of the stay was the restaurant. Truly some of the worst food I have ever had anywhere. Burnt coffee, inedible oatmeal (how do you ruin oatmeal???), bad service. I don't know if it was just a day that the cook didn't show up to work....or if this was their norm. I didn't try it a second time.

Will definitely be back if you provide more handicap parking.

Amazingly comfortable place, loved the piano player and the great room. Walkable to downtown. Huge bathroom. Would highly, highly recommend!

The room was excellent! Location is beautiful. The restaurant on property had the worst food on this entire 7 day trip.

It was great! Lots of room, everything worked, away from the fray but close enough to easily get there. After many charming B and B’s we were craving space! Totally comfortable!!!

Very nice property close to the main action areas of Bar Harbor. Stayed in a 3rd floor King suite . The lobby was very spacious, élégant and has a bar and a skilled pianist at night. 24 hour self serve coffee in the lobby. The property looks better in person to me than the photos. Decor is old school charm ( think Queen Anne with floral curtain s, ). The elevators and hallways have art and photos on the walls and glass mini chandelier lights.
The room was clean, very large with Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave. large dual sink vanity stocked with lots of toiletries and great smelling bars of soap. The toilet and shower are in a room separate from the vanity area.
large king bed, 2 night stands, nice short chest of drawers. Large flat screen tv. plenty of HOT WATER and good water pressure.
small desk and chair. The other part of the room , the sitting area, features a 2 person couch, coffee table, end table, extra chair and a very nice MASSAGE CHAIR( GREAT FEATURE). There is a large, gas fireplace which puts our great heat. Large balcony with a terrific few of the bay , islands and boats. The A/C is a window unit that is effective and adjustable though a bit loud.
Nice breakfast restaurant in a différent building. There is a gym, indoor pool and steam room in a dedicated building.
Overall a GREAT STAY. my major wish would be an electronic lock system instead of the old fashioned metal key. View from breakfast room.was awesome.lunch service would be nice

The Bluenose Inn is a very nice hotel and recommend it as a good place. to stay. DO NOT Eat dinner at the Looking Glass restaurant its terrible.

The rooms were large, clean, and gorgeous. The view of the harbor was spectacular. It was conveniently located to the downtown area and Acadia National park. The piano player,Tim Trowell, was amazing. He is a must see! We would highly recommend this hotel and will be going back ourselves very soon.

This is more like a big hotel so, if you want the small inn or B&B feel, this place is not for you. Rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Breakfasts at the restaurant at the top of the hill were very good with great views. Pool was outstanding.

Elegent hotel. Very comfortable. Close to Acadia National park, restaurants, and day cruises. Beautiful view from hotel.

My family and I loved this place. It’s very close to Acadia and the Village. The room was so clean and spacious. The balcony was quaint but the view, especially during sunrise was amazing. The only downside was there was no place to eat meals. We like to pack our breakfast and lunch meals to save money so the microwave and mini fridge helped. However, the only table was a coffee table and a business type desk. It would be nice to have a bigger kitchenette area given the room was so spacious and there’s more than enough room for even a corner dining table and two chairs. Overall, great place!

We had a wonderful time at the Bluenose. The rooms in the main building are spacious with a nice seating area with a love seat and two upholstered chairs. The staff is very friendly and gracious. Breakfast on The Looking Glass deck was excellent with wonderful views. Try and catch Bill Trowell on piano in the Great Room. We definitely recommend this property.

Loved this property & the location! The Inn is beautiful!

Old style resort- nice room, clean, comfortable- noisy upstairs- very loud ac unit. 20 minute walk from town. A shuttle service would have been nice.

The venue was perfect. In a great location, clean and super helpful staff. The lounge was just what you need to relax, enjoy an adult beverage and listen to a fabulous pianist. Access to the shuttle pick up was hilly so be prepared to walk uphill a bit. The drawback was the noisy construction project across the driveway. There was a outdoor front seating area but to noisy to enjoy it.

The looking glass restaurant was lovely. The evening music and tidbits were excellent. Staff was helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the hotel staff were nice and courteous. What was most unexpected was how quiet the hotel was. The hotel is very conveniently located close to downtown and also other areas of interest within walking distance. Thanks to the Bluenose Hotel for a very pleasant stay.

It was easy to get to Bar Harbor shopping, food and the park. We enjoyed the pools and hot tub after long hikes. Everyone was nice and helpful. Cute gift shop too. Would recommend for sure.

We stayed in the Bluenose section of this complex. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Our room had a view of the water, but was not on the water. The desk staff were friendly and check in and out was easy. We ate breakfast at the Looking Glass which was nice.
Bill, the entertainment in the bar area was awesome and the bartender was great. Try the blueberry martini!!!The bar area was relaxing after a long day exploring. We enjoyed our stay here.

We loved our stay at the Bluenose! It's a beautiful location. We purposely chose the water view and I'm so glad that we did. The way it's set up on the hill is perfect for seeing out into the bay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the restaurant and the neighboring hotel for breakfast one morning. We otherwise kept snacks and breakfast items in our room refrigerator. Be sure to listen to the pianist who plays in the bar lobby area most nights. We enjoyed chatting with him and hearing him play everything by ear! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! We also loved the handy bus that goes right from the parking lot to the downtown area of Bar Harbor - super helpful, as the parking downtown is crazy. The bus system is amazing and goes into Acadia and surrounding areas. Use it!

Super cute spot to stay, the room was clean and had a large balcony. The air conditioning worked excellent, which was much needed! bathroom was large and the lay out was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent staff, very knowledgeable. Large rooms with great views

Large, clean affordable rooms with views in a convenient location. Team members were great - can’t wait to see what the new wings of the hotel look like when they’re done.

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The rest of the room was great. The power did go out a few times. Possibly the area. Not a huge deal. We did enjoy our stay. Probably would stay there again.

First time visiting Maine and the place was wonderful. Staff was nice. It was so clean with great amenities. Great location to downtown and Acadia. The Looking Glass restaurant on the property had great views along with delicious food. Enjoyed the great room with the pianist, Bill. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Very nice property outside of Bar Harbor. Piano player in the bar at night was a nice way to wind down the day at Acadia. Our room was on the second floor facing the bay and we had a great view of the sunrise. The only downside was they are still using old keys and the lock was a bit sensitive

We had a lovely stay at The Bluenose Inn! The check-in was smooth (they give you an actual room key which is charming and uncommon these days) and the room was very spacious. I loved the great room- such pretty vista views and a bar, it also has a piano player most nights and it was very cute. It was in a great location, just a few minutes drive into downtown Bar Harbor and also into Acadia National Park. The hotel staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, we would definitely come back!
