Really nice

Place was ok … and if you look at other ratings by me I do not complain but this place is not worth the $400 a night.
- Charged $180 for 5th person and not even 1 towel per person provided or bedding for pull out couch. There were no extra sheets for the hide a bed. Only two blankets and pillows.
- Internet would not connect called from staff and no one came to next day and said couldn’t help as it’s because all routers are called same thing so I could not connect the whole stay. When travelling with teens after long days of hiking was not great to not have internet for kids.
- bbq was out of propane. Had to change bottles and clean lines…took us over half hour to work on bbq do we could cook dinner.
- says stocked kitchen but no baking dish … but there was 2 dirty cookie sheets in cupboard we did utilize. There were dishes, utensils and coffee pot.
- place was decently clean aside from mounds of dust on high ledges and musty smell. Rooms are not freshened up before you arrive and assuming not used all the time.
And note … no AC and only 1 fan … not great place for summer!

For the price I did not think much of the facility. The under ground parking was wet all the time and our rooms smelled badly and the hot tub was old. The property looked old as well.

I’d read a few bad reviews but so glad I went ahead with my stay.
Everything was great and would definitely stay again.

Great slope-side accommodations at Kicking Horse.

Every thing was available in the room except toothpaste… plzz don’t forget to bring after bite … cz too much mosquito around property.
3.8
Nice place but annoying to check in at a separate building. No air conditioning so it was uncomfortable and hard to sleep in the heat wave
3.8
The place is awesome. After a long hike we loved to come back and enjoy the hot tube with a great view.
3.8
The hotel was quite nice. The staff was lovely. I only wish that the phone at the front desk was answered more often. Also, there is no air conditioning.
3.8
Amazing rooms but the wifi didn’t work, the dishwasher didn’t work and no ac.
3.8
Nice to be able to walk around and the beauty of the mountains
3.8
There was no air conditioning and the patio door had no screen on it so it was so hard to cool the room without getting eaten by mosquitoes.
There was only one restaurant on the property and it closed at 9pm which wasn’t ideal. The ice maker in the building was broken. The place had the potential to be much better than it was. I’m sure in the winter, it is great.

The check in process was a breeze once we got to the correct building. Clean hotel but shocked that it doesn’t have AC - I must have missed this during booking and we happened to be here on a very hot, smoky day. It didn’t help that when we got to our suite, we discovered the patio door was left open and the suite was filled with smoke smell. Luckily, we had a fan in the room and managed to cool off the suite a little. Overalls, not a bad place at all.
3.8
I did not like that there was no A/C. Not acceptable given the rate. Also no ice machine and really no services at the Palliser Lodge. Workout room is pretty sad.
bed was good.
3.8
Great room, beautiful view of the mountains and a very comfortable bed. Loved that the room had dishes, kettle etc. We will stay again if we are out this way again.
3.8
The room was nice.
….. but the cleanliness was terrible, we had to wash every dish by hand that we needed. The tap in the kitchen didn’t work, called maintenance staff. They didn’t know how to fix it. The dishwasher was not doing its “job”. All of the doors were unlocked to a ground floor patio. For $425 per night I expected a lot more…. Probably could have stayed at the Super 8 for a 1/4 price point and had a better stay.

Found this place by accident. When I booked I did not see that it was located approx 10kms from Golden. Signage is a little confusing for first timers but the staff were very helpful and once we were established a very grand place to stay. This was the off season I can only imagine how much nicer it would be in ski season
3.8
Nice place.

It was incredibly frustrating to check in. There is no receptionist at the Palliser Lodge and we had to drive to another building to check in and get our keys and then drive back to the Palliser Lodge. Also the parking facility is difficult to find.
3.8
Great facilities, amazing location.
3.8
Overall hotel in good condition. The blinds in our room were broken and unable to close properly. Beautiful area, nice mountain experience

Love the spacious balcony with the Mountain View so much! Had our dinner everyday on the balcony. Beds are comfortable. Fan, microwave, kettle, breakfast toaster, plates and utensils are all provided. Just one thing u need to know that u need to check in/out at glacier lodge if you’re staying at palliser lodge as there’s no front desk there. This is not mentioned in the instructions provided by Expedia so it was bit confusing at the beginning . Overall is a 5-star experience and will come back for sure!

The room was clean and nicely appointed. We didn't realize the building was unattended and once we got there, had to go back down the hill to the Glacier Lodge building. The staff there was helpful and was (supposedly) 24/7. The people above us and over one unit were VERY loud at around 1am. I tried calling the front desk around 2am several times with no answer. Luckily the noise ended shortly after (around 2:30). Terrible sleep before a long day of driving. I mentioned the lack of response from overnight staff on checkout; a cursory apology and no explanation given. While guests sign off specifically on noise restrictions (quiet time 10pm-7am) there seems to be no enforcement for those that ignore it. I expected better.

This was a super disappointing stay in June. Maybe in the winter it is better, but it felt like they advertised a lot but didn’t deliver. The bed was also the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in with the mattress topper. There was no AC, which is understandable, but then no screen on the windows and tons of biting bugs so no air circulating . Had to check in at a different bundling and drive to our building, but when we got there the key didn’t work. Phone and number listed in the building didn’t work to call back over so had to drive back. It was all together an awful experience.

Upon our arrival we checked in at the parent company resort (which looked a lot nicer) and were directed to the lodge down the road where there was no front desk or staff. The room was average but the whole building and room seemed quite dated. There was also no hot tub on the balcony as in the pictures. Those we were told were for the 2 bedroom suites which seemed to be rentals. The Telus Optik in the room was great but be prepared to bring a USB wall outlet charger for your phone as there are no USB inputs anywhere in the room. The king bed was quite big and comfortable though and the shower was quite hot which was nice. Only problem is there was no air con in the room which makes it quite hot during the summer months. Me and my partner stayed 2 nights which is more than enough to stay in Golden as there's not much to do in the town. We just did the Adventure pass (Skybridge) there which was pretty fun with all of the ziplining. Average room and good value for the price overall...

Liked: room was nice, good TV and internet. Quiet too with ample parking. Didn’t Like: check in was difficult, in a different room different building with long lines.

Beautiful property. Easy check in, gorgeous room, deck and hot tub. Highly recommend

Property is great, room outstanding. Lack of dining and minimal food opportnies aweful.

The room was well laid out and the bed was so nice and very comfortable.
The kitchenette was great and the in room coffee was wonderful!
We really enjoyed our stay!

It was quiet and beautiful scenery. The property could definitely use a little update.

Beautiful views .
Sadly , I arrived just after 5:00 pm and there were zero food options . I had to travel back down the mountain for a meal and or anything else needed to be purchased . Nothing available mid week . Also , the cleanliness of the room was to be desired . Coffee grounds / water left in the pot . Cigarette wrapper on the ground by the kitchen area , toe nail clippings out on the deck with food crumbs , table and kitchen area not wiped clean . It honestly seemed unclean except for the linens & towels , they were proper .

Great place, quiet, clean and great views of the mountains

Excellent. We left at 7am, and tried to call the front desk to let them know we had checked out, but the mailbox was full. Would definitely stay there again

The 1 bedroom suite we stayed in was absolutely perfect. Had all the amenities we needed. We did bring our crockpot and griddle, highly recommend this if you plan on cooking soups.
The bears do come up to the field in front, be aware of your surroundings.
Staff was amazing, kind and communicative. Recommended some local places to eat and hike to.

We booked last year in early May ,and was not aware that nothing was open for restaurants or the gondola. We ended up having to drive down the mountain and buy all our food. The staff informed us that everything opens the long weekend. With that information ,we booked this past long weekend instead. Arrived and found nothing open again. Found out it opens at the end of May. Ended up leaving early. Be prepared with groceries.

I’ll start off with the good, the beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. The hot tub in the suite was also very nice.
Now to the bad, we booked this vacation for our 10 year wedding anniversary, upon arrival we where locked out of our room for 30 mins with our children and pet, tried calling the front desk no answer for over 12 times calling. Once we got into our room it was absolutely filthy! I have many pictures to back this up. I’m not sure if because it’s a pet friendly room it’s in this condos but I’ve never stayed anywhere this dirty I was so upset! I had to get medication from a local grocery store to control my allergies from all the dust and filth. I’ve never in my life seen a hotel in this condition. I feel like the changed the sheets for us and that was it. We had seen a cleaner 2 times in our 3 day trip and she was in those rooms for hours so I’m not sure what is happening but unfortunately we will never return.

Loved our place at the Palliser. We usually stay at the Glacier or Mountaineer but loved it here. We had our own hot tub and it was much quieter. The property was in much better shape than the mountaineer and glacier condos. We will choose Palliser next time too!
