Stayed before andlooked forward to returning. Doorkeys frequently wouldnt work. Coulndt enter near parking with key. Front door lobby locked had to wait for someone to manully unlock let you in. No early check in available. We were supposed to check in at 3:00pm, and were unable to check in until 6:00pm. I was quoted a price for the room, which was much less than I ended up paying. My total ended up being $60 more than showed when I booked the room. I was not satisfied after all was said and done. The Juliet has a lot to work on, since the new owners took over.

I was not very impressed with the Hotel. Fan in the room was not working, There was nobody at the front desk when I wanted to check in so I had to call them. This morning I found a cockroach in my room.

Love staying here! Great location in downtown Lafayette. New carpet since I was last here was nice! Love the room service breakfast included! My go to when I’m in town…
4.2
Wonderful lady working the front desk, helpful, friendly and funny. Room was spotless and spacious, tub was amazing.
4.2
Staff was great! Everyone super nice! This hotel could be so nice if it wasn't so run down and dirty. Plumbing was a huge issue in the room.
4.2
It was a Romantic get away for our anniversary and it was absolutly incredable. This place is an absolutely wonderful gem of a place to stay.
4.2
Overall a great experience. However the room was missing a remote for the tv.
4.2
Very nice place. Good location!

This was an elegant, but dated hotel with a lovely staff and great amenities including pool, hot tub and saunas. We were able to walk to a place to eat. Lovely soaking tub in room. We enjoyed our night at this property.
4.2
The walkability around the downtown area was a nice bonus after the drive to Lafayette. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
4.2
Great location in downtown Lafayette. The location was great, the staff was super friendly, parking easy, the bed very comfortable
4.2
The rooms are a nice size, plenty of room for a couch or 2 comfortable chairs. However there was just a table and 2 straight chairs. These were appreciated however because breakfast was brought to your room.
There was a nice lounge outside the 2nd floor room where you could relax.

The hotel is run down and with a poor attempt at updating. Paint is peeling off the walls. They installed flooring over a hole in the floor without repairing it first which could be felt by walking over it. There was no housekeeping and no signs indicating it needed to be requested. The furniture was cheap and sticky. The walls are so thin we could hear someone snoring in the room next to our's. The shower didn't drain. When I told them about it, they said they didn't have anyone that could do maintenance that day. They did offer to change our room. There was an odor in the lobby. Overall the room was cold and barren. It's an old, run down hotel with crown moulding and a few plastic topiaries in the lobby.
4.2
Everything was great but we did have someone try to enter our room at 12am & wake up my girlfriend & scare the crap out of us. Great location & great customers service!
4.2
It was great but loud cars at night.
4.2
Stayed here due to close proximity to meetings. Building is run down, and room (moreso bathroom) had a musty/mildew type odor. I understand it's under new ownership so maybe they'll clean things up a bit.

Liked the decor, and service excellent stay

We were very pleased with our stay. Room was extremely spacious and features like the bath tub were ample. You could say the tub could sleep 2. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful but they weren't often at front desk. We were unsure how to check out sonwe just left our room key and hoped for the best... location is prime. We had a lovely evening walking around trying various eateries. Spoonbills right across the street was delightful. They need to update their photos. They made some much needed updates like removing carpet from the rooms. Carpet still exists in the lobby area upstairs and looks likes it needs to be replaced as well.
Breakfast options were enjoyable but minimal. They forgot one of our items, if we understood the ordering method correctly. The order sheet could use a redesign to accomidate multpie orders easier. We will definitely be back for arcadian fashion week.

Nice older place. Breakfast was very good.

TV did not work and had to use a streaming service to watch espn. If I had not had my own streaming service I would not have seen a game I really wanted to watch.
It does not have daily maid service.

We love staying at the Juliet when we visit Lafayette. The downtown location is perfect for walking to bars, restaurants and events. The staff is welcoming and we have always had excellent customer service. It is an older hotel with a lot of charm and character.

Best place to stay in Downtown Lafayette!
4.2
Probably my worst hotel stay ever. I check in, the reviews say every room is wheelchair accessible, and I am in a wheelchair. But the front door to the room isn’t wide enough. I almost bust my head getting into the tub. When I check out, the clerk says I should have requested a wheelchair accessible room. Really? Being in a wheelchair is not enough? Never saw housekeeping, no phone in the room to call the front desk.
4.2
Very cute and perfect for what we needed. We found the room to stay a little warmer than we would like even though we turned the thermostat down. We will most likely stay again next year for Patty in the Parc!
4.2
Nice and quiet. Clean too.

The property was located in an ideal local...

GREAT staff!! Lovely place to stay for a night.

This hotel in the heart of downtown Lafayette is charming!! I originally booked the hotel because of its location. You seriously can walk to some of the best restaurants in the area and enjoy the whole downtown vibe. If you’re thinking about attending Festival International, book now!
Some of the previous reviews made me second guess my reservation, but honestly, it has the character and charm of a bygone era. Though not yet of the caliber of the Galvez in Galveston, it has the potential of becoming so. We stayed in room 206. It was very clean, had wood floors, amazing old marble, layers of crown molding a trayed ceiling, and an oversized tub/shower. If you stay, occasionally in a B&B, then you should be able to look past the negativity of some of the reviews posted here and find the diamond in the rough that is the Juliet.

This was a great little find. Did not know there was a hotel in downtown Lafayette. You can walk most anywhere downtown from the hotel. It is right across the street from the Rock-n-Bowl. This is a great place to stay anytime but especially if you are attending something in downtown Lafayette. I would highly recommend.

The property is conveniently located in downtown Lafayette. It’s a quaint, small boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet. I didn’t find that there were any amenities – no restaurant no bar but all of that was within walking distance. The lighting in the room was very poor. The room size was very large and very clean. The only other thing I didn’t like was the TV. You could not access any live stations.

This hotel has a lot of potential. In a wonderful, charming, small downtown area. Some upgrades to the main carpets-maybe invest in wood or tile, would improve smell and visible damage.
The pool is in need of help. It’s accessible to the public, not actually locked up (this has to be addressed). It’s an in inviting setting but a mural on the back wall, some lighting. Music etc could make it charming. Staff were incredibly nice! The bones are beautiful!! Would really love to see this place succeed!

Hotel Juliet in downtown Lafayette promised a picture of comfort and hospitality but delivered an entirely different reality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, it was as though cleanliness had taken an indefinite leave of absence. The decor, which might have once held a certain vintage charm, now felt like a museum of neglect, with each piece of furniture telling a tale of a bygone era when standards were not just optional but altogether absent.
The room itself was an anthology of horrors. The pervasive smell of vomit emanating from the air conditioner was a jarring welcome, a sharp contrast to the usual sterile, sometimes overly fragrant greeting one expects. The carpet squelched with a questionable dampness beneath my feet, suggesting a swamp-like ecosystem thriving beneath its threads.
As for the furniture, to say it would be rejected by Goodwill would be an insult to second-hand shops everywhere. Each piece seemed to compete for the title of the most stained, worn, and forgotten. The mere thought of resting upon any of them required a suspension of disbelief and a strong stomach.
To call Hotel Juliet a 'dump' feels almost generous. It is a place where expectations go to wither, where the mere concept of comfort is as foreign as the idea of a clean surface. I left feeling in dire need of a shower and a refund, neither of which I held any hope of receiving. This hotel is not a diamond in the rough; it is simply rough. I cannot recommend this establishment, not ev

I really liked the location, the people and the property as a whole. Bed wasn’t so comfy and pillows could be more comfy as well.

Stained sheets, woke up to bathroom flooded and shower water scolding hot as taps not working properly.
Thread bare bath mat. Dirty round the edges.

This is a great hotel in a historic building, in old Downtown Lafayette. You can walk the entire downtown area. There are several restaurants near so there is no need for a vehicle. There are two places to eat literally across the street. I ate at both, and they are both fantastic. The old Conoco garage across the street has a full bar and outside seating as well.
Don't expect this hotel to be a Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc... Don't be a princess. I think the expectations of the negative reviewers may have been too high, This is a privately owned hotel. It is in a Historic building. It is in a great downtown location. I made my reservation on Expedia about 30 minutes before my arrival. I got the room for $100. WELL worth the money.
I think they got rid of the carpet in the rooms. My room had what appeared to be new laminate floors. The AC worked fine, the bathtub was huge, the toilet worked fine. The rooms are larger than what you would normally find in a big hotel chain.
So what if you have to ask for items. They don't have a huge staff to wait on you hand and foot. It's almost like staying over at someone's home. Just go, enjoy yourself, and try not to be so sensitive. Explore the Downtown area. Read the historic plaques on the buildings. Buy something from the local shops.
I found my stay at the Juliet to be very enjoyable. It's only 10 minutes from the airport (LFT) I will stay here again during my next trip to Lafayette.

great location and nice staff
4.2
Pros - location , Location, Location
Free on site parking
Cons - someone with design experience needs to update and relocate decor all esp the floors/carpet in rooms
4.2
Quaint and shabby chic but, needs some updating. Loved big tub. Tv service via Hulu never worked due to password issues. Road side rooms are noisy due to late night bar traffic.
