Lily was a phenomenal host! I wanted to add a last minute birthday pkg to my room and she set it all up for me with less then 24hrs notice! Cake, champagne, balloons and flowers... it was absolutely PERFECT!! We will definitely return when we visit San Antonio again!

My daughter and son-in-law loved the beautiful setting, kindness of staff, close proximity to the river walk. Perfect for their anniversary!

Dealing with the owner made our stay even more special! Breakfast on the balcony was so peaceful!

Owner was very friendly. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
Toilet seat could use replacing and a couple of floorboards need to be secured better.

I love the being in the historical district within a few blocks of the Riverwalk & downtown area. Breakfasts were great & service was exceptional. Our room was perfect & bed was super comfortable. We’ll definitely be back & recommend this quaint place.

We had a nice time and the staff were very friendly.

Great location. Calm neighborhood. Walking distance to Alamo and Riverwalk.
Good Mexican restaurant called rosario’s Right around corner.
Clean room. Great shower. Accomadting staff all of whom were very personable.
Breakfast is timed and served usually at 9 am, as opposed to being buffet or order style, but was very good and filling the 3 mornings we ate. Also bc it was served to all guests at once, we had opportunities to meet and interact with other guests, which doesn’t always happen at these type facilities.
House was old so be prepared for creaks. Also no elevator (that we saw or were made aware of) and a lot of stairs unless you are in one of rooms inside on first floor which could pose some difficulties for older guests.
A very pleasant experience with no problems.

Wonderful house in a cozy strip of San Antonio. We loved being a short walk to the Riverwalk and all the restaurants and shops. Breakfast was delicious each day and I treated myself to a cookbook and souvenir mug! We enjoyed the hot tub on the one cold night and it was so refreshing. Definitely recommed this gem of a place!

Great location. Walking distance to the Alamo, restaurants, etc. Proprietor was very nice and helpful. Old, beautiful house but thin walls. Period tub was tricky to negogiate for a shower but all and all I would stay there again for a short stay... 2 to 3 nights.

Where do I begin. Stayed in the Cardinal room. Outside porch light stayed on all night so I tried to sleep with a glaring light in my face all night. Cannot change the temp of the room so it was very hot. There was a canister of some type of liqueur in the room. God only knows what that was! They do not tell you that they are by train tracks that run ALL night, including train horns!! The inn keepers are NOT on site. Also, if you want breakfast, forget it. They don't serve breakfast until 9 a.m. so unless you want to start your day at 10 or later, move on. Will never stay there again. Couldn't even find anyone when we arrived or when we left. You stay here, you are on your own!

It was a very nice bed & breakfast. Loved the decor! It was raining all weekend but we just stayed in and watched television. Had a very relaxing time. Employees were friendly and extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone just wanting to have a nice weekend away from your hectic lifestyle.

That woman who runs the B&B took lots of time showing us maps and explaining to us what's in the area and how to get down to the Riverwalk. She also was there in the morning to serve breakfast. I figured we picked the right place when two of the other couples there were there for the Texas B&B board meeting and said this was their favorite B&B to stay.

We booked in part because of rave reviews about the host & the breakfasts. However the owners were away & breakfast is not served on Xmas (not disclosed until after we made our non-refundable reservation). Instead we found 2 plates in our frig, with an untoasted English muffin, slice of ham lunchmeat, HB egg w/no salt or pepper, grapes, & 2 grocery-store mini-muffins. Not exactly the 3-course hot homemade breakfast advertised.
Location is great, room (Hummingbird)clean & spacious, & bed comfy with nice linens. Location on the first floor in back makes it private & quiet (except for trains at night) but also means one enters from a rather shabby back porch directly off the parking lot & has to go outside & walk around the house to reach the dining room. That porch contains a hot tub & ice maker (both out of order), bistro table with 3 chairs (1 with a cushion), & some wilted plants & empty pots, & had not been swept recently, based on the dead leaves. It does not make a welcoming impression to an inn that aspires to be upscale & charges accordingly.
Our interactions with the staff were rather brusque, consisting of her telling us she had forgotten to make decaf at breakfast (despite asking our preference at checkin), & reminding us as we left the dining room that it was time to check out. It felt like the bum's rush.
Overall, while there are positives, we were disappointed, given the cost relative to value received. We did not feel welcome at Brackenridge House.
