It was a wonderful experience staying at the Lyrath. The gracious and helpful employees, the sublime surroundings, the delicious dinner at the steakhouse and our amazing room made our anniversary very memorable. We hope to be back every time we are home in Ireland visiting family. We absolutely loved our stay.

Possibly one of the most stunning hotels we have stayed in. The Lyrath grounds are gorgeous and only surpassed by the stunning interior courtyard reception area that greets you when you first arrive. Everything from the multiple restaurants to the bar and lounge areas, this place just wraps you in comfort. Keeping with the decor of the lobby, our hotel room was more like a full suite with separate rooms for changing, bathing and sleeping. Heated bathroom floors, a 4 piece ensuite bathroom and even a private toilet room made this all feel first class. We only stayed one night so didn’t have time for spa or a hike around the property but we would make time for these amenities absolutely on a future return. If you get the chance, do stay here and experience luxury. One general comment about not only this hotel but really all the areas we visited in Ireland is that we found the Irish to be wonderful people, kind and attentive, and truly hospitable in all respects. The people here have left a very positive lasting impression on our whole family.

Stayed in a Manor House Suite for one night. Enjoyed a massage, time in the spa, a walk within the grounds, and dinner at The Grill & Bar. The room was large and very satisfactory. The spa was pleasant. The restaurant food was okay (had a burger with no choice on how to be cooked which signals to me it isn’t fresh which I would expect at a site of this calibre), drinks were great. The staff overall are fantastic and friendly with a real can do attitude and mucking in together to give a great experience. The hotel grounds are wonderful and with two distance designated walks (2.5km and 4km) options are simple to navigate. Were it not for some overspilling noise from the resident’s bar overnight I would have given 5* overall. Staff however responded positively when discussed and made additional efforts to make things right so you can’t fault that. Bumped into the owners while walking the grounds. I get they live on site but a short chat with customers wouldn’t go a miss. You never know who your customers are.

This Estate is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. If you’re looking for amazing food beautiful grounds and a magical experience, this is it. Our room was massive. We had our own sitting area outside our room and our bathroom could have held a party.

This gorgeous hotel is every bit a 5-star experience. The staff from all over the world is VERY friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food at the restaurants is delicious and very well priced. The cocktails at the bar are all top shelf... ask for an Old Fashioned and watch how the lead barman concocts an Old Fashioned for the ages. I can't say enough wonderful things about Lyrath Estate Hotel, it made our trip perfect.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The grounds were relaxing and welcoming. We really enjoyed the opportunity to walk the trails around the grounds. It felt like we had escaped the crowds and got to explore. We would highly recommend this location. Best place to stay in Ireland

Pros: Beautiful surroundings and wonderful walkways around the hotel. Convenient for Kilkenny City. Lovely professional staff. Unique atrium experience. Delicious food. This was our third stay and there are really good reasons why we keep coming back! Cons Only one gripe - the suite we stayed in was smaller than other similar hotels, and didn’t make the best use of space (the bedroom and bathroom were almost the same size - bathroom arguably too big, bedroom too small). For a 5 star I’d expect a stocked minibar; but this seems to be less and less the norm so not really an issue and in any case the ambiance in the many places to have food or a drink renders it moot.

We cannot wait to come back to Lyrath Estate! The grounds around the hotel are absolutely breathtaking and the facilities themselves are gorgeous inside and out. Our room was massive and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We felt so at home here and it was an incredible stay.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. We did point out the TV in the room was freezing!! Breakfast was excellent self service. Plenty of choice. The estate had wonderful walks. My facial was so much more than a facial and i was allowed to use the thermal suite the day after. Might be no harm to point out the €25 charge for thermal suite for residents. I felt this should be included in your stay. Overall a wonderful break we would go back

Beautiful estate and hotel, very modern and upscale, one of the few places we stayed in 14 days in Ireland that had Air Conditioning (AC is not a thing in Ireland). Wonderful breakfast buffett. Great activities on the estate like the Hawk Walk at the Hawkery.

We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in the hotel, with friendly staff providing great service. Food in the grill bar was excellent. We used the pool facilities on the second day prior to our departure and were disappointed in the cleanliness of the ladies changing rooms, with no toilet roll, and only hair conditioner in the shower area. We were able to avail of several seating areas which were ideal for reading our books and newspapers. We would recommend staying at the hotel and look forward to a return trip !
