Really nice place! So much charm and comfort. We loved the French country style and updated utilities. The breakfast is very good and healthy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like visiting a friend's home. We will return for sure and suggest this place to our friends.

It is a traditional hotel with so much warmth and character. The host lady was really nice to me. The location is very central too. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel with a great location, walking distance to all atractions in Chamonix, the personal eas very helpful and kind, love their attitude! addion the only issue is that the property is beautiful just needs maintenance.

Good standard and value, experienced personal and caring service. All personal were very helpful and forthcoming on every occasion and level. Hotel parking area were great for our stay, -the hotels central location at Chamonix center for all services and offers are the best in the valley in my opinion. Will definitely check in here at next visit to the “Portes de Soleil” 🌞 Tommy HT & Son 🇳🇴

This is a special property not to be missed. Family owned and run over generations. They truly make you feel like you’re at home. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely breakfast room! 2 minutes walk to the main street where all boutiques are. Free parking. Very nice staff. A must stay in Chamonix!

The hotel is located with it's front to the central all pedestrian street and its back to the ski bus stop - very convenient. The hotel itself is a charming mix of new and old - we stayed in a newly renovated room, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was basic but good quality and the view from the breakfast restaurant was fantastic. The front desk was polite and easy to communicate with and we felt welcome and appreciated as customers.

Stayed here several times. Always good, clean service. Staff very helpful, friendly. A typical, french, traditional hotel, With original features. All you can eat French breakfast buffet. Views of Mont Blanc from balcony.

Stayed here for one night only, the lady on reception was very helpful, showing me where to get the bus to Les Houches and giving me a card allowing me free bus travel. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable

An Agatha Christi / Sherlock Holmes era hotel and that’s the main charm. It’s an old property showing age, but the friendly owners (most likely) or staff more than makes for it. The hosts patiently and most helpfully went through Facilities at the hotel and in Chamonix. They know the town like old residents and were happy to share their knowledge. I love hotels with a ambience and personality and this has one …. the hotel is gracefully aging. Decent breakfast. Wala

Bottom-line: Do not stay here. There are too many other better choices all around this area. No a/c, rooms are hot with windows closed and there’s so much noise from the street with the windows open that you cannot sleep until past 3am. Building is very old and run down and in bad need of repair.
